Lake Huron - Michigan, USA
#passionpassport
Lake Huron was originally called La Mer Douce, or “the freshwater sea,” by French explorers.
It later got its name from the Huron people who lived along its shores. It forms the eastern outline of Michigan's "Mitten," including the distinctive "Thumb" which is dotted with port towns and shelters Saginaw Bay. Wildly wonderful stretches of pristine coast looking out into the endless blue horizon . As the third-largest inland lake in the world, Lake Huron’s Michigan is shore line is diverse, featuring everything from wide sand beaches with crystal clear water to fierce, wild waves crashing on a rocky coast. #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations

Such a beautiful lake! it has pristine blue water that glimmer in the sunlight. I enjoyed seeing ships pass through the lake and under the bridge connecting Canada to Michigan. The water’s temperature was very cold, however. I would recommend boating and fishing. Co e camp at this great place!

Lake Huron is a wonderful place to visit this #happynewyear
With great views, sights, and fish come see the great Great Lake of Huron. As Gordon lightfoot said” Lake Huron rolls...” and it truly does. Look at those magical, small waves knocking up against the beach. However, I do not recommend coming here for swimming. To cold.

From its pretty blue waters to its vibrant shore, The is everything to love about the lake. Not the best for swimming but good for fishing, the lake is a great place to visit anytime.

Beautiful place to visit in Michigan. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore hugs the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It's known for the dramatic multicolored Pictured Rocks cliffs. Unusual sandstone formations like Miners Castle and Chapel Rock define the park’s headlands. Twelvemile Beach has a trail through a nearby white birch forest. Remnants of shipwrecks dot the shoreline around Au Sable Point’s 19th-century lighthouse. #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations #travelinspiration #traveladdict #travelphotography #travelmichigan ##travelworld

Capture the unique autumn colors and come to North Michigan to see the autumn scenery of the colored rocks
The famous American Colored Rocks National Park Lakeside is located on the south shore of Lake Superior, also known as "Twelve Mile Beach". Here, the most famous attraction is the strange and towering sandstone on the lakeside. Every visitor will deeply feel the magic of nature and be shocked after witnessing it. The lush birch forest is dotted with this wonder, blue sky and clear water☀, green trees and red rocks💦, what a picturesque scenery.
This place is famous for its colorful sandstone cliffs, and there are occasional waterfalls on the cliffs. There are also some hiking routes on the land, but I personally think that these most unique sceneries are more shocking from the lake🌊.
Camping🏕, boating🚣, picnic🍻, fishing🎣... This is a place that combines beautiful scenery and fun! Clear lake water, colorful rocks and endless red maple🍁, the scenery✨ is indescribable.
✅Must experience:
From mid-May to mid-October, you can take a cruise Pictured Rocks Cruise. The whole journey is about 2.5-3 hours and will sail about 40 miles.
📝Note tips:
It is recommended to bring motion sickness medicine and waterproof clothing, because if you stand on the deck to take pictures, you may get wet. In addition, the cruise may be cancelled if the weather is bad.
Believe that when you come here, you will be fascinated by its charm, especially the autumn red maple all over the field, the forest is all dyed, what a poetic and picturesque scenery

Ann Arbor Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Ann Arbor is consistently listed among the most livable cities in America
Ann Arbor, the county seat of Washtenaw County in Michigan, was established in 1822, covering just over 70 square kilometers. Four years later, Washtenaw County was established, its name meaning 'distant river'. Influenced by this river system and latitude, Ann Arbor enjoys a moist and temperate climate. Fifteen years later, the University of Michigan moved from Detroit and quickly became a hallmark of Ann Arbor, integrating with the city and gaining fame both domestically and internationally. The University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus is divided into South, Central, North, and East campuses, with additional branches in three other cities in Michigan, covering a total area of nearly 50,000 acres. In the history of higher education in the United States, the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan holds a prominent position and is a model for public universities in America.
Spring in Ann Arbor is short, and after a brief spring, it quickly enters summer. The rich and nourishing water system, forest vegetation, and the mild and moist climate, along with the University of Michigan's Museum of Natural History, Museum of Art, and Botanical Gardens, as well as dozens of parks and scenic areas surrounding the city, make Ann Arbor a perennial contender for America's most livable cities.
What a great Fall!
That time of the year when leaves are more beautiful than flowers.
