Fortunately, the map was well-directed, so I was able to find my way up. I almost didn't see the sunset because I was going to Hamata! Observatory Hill Park
#australiatrip
Gorgeous sweeping views throughout Rocks and along the Harbour Bridge, across the Harbour to northern Sydney and West up the river. Lovely old trees, some well maintained grass and a scattering of Park benches make this a picnic destination in good weather. I went with a group of friends to sketch the view and the were two separate catered picnics, a couple of girls filming a dancer routine in the rotunda, people scattered around drawing and reading, and innumerable others strolling or relaxing in the grass.

🇦🇺Sydney Observatory, ‘Observatory Hill’
#HotelAccommodationEvent
I visited the Sydney Observatory, 'Observatory Hill', famous for the night view of the Harbour Bridge!
As of February, it was 7:40 when I arrived at Observatory Hill Park!
I was still able to see a beautiful sunset
The sunset itself is better
The other side of the Harbour Bridge is better
It's good for a picnic at lunch,
It's good for watching the sunset at dinner,
And it's good for watching the night view at night!
The charm of traveling alone,
The fact that you can enjoy your time as much as you want!
I didn't realize how much time had passed
However, the way down is very dark,
so if you're visiting alone, I recommend going down before it gets too dark!

Top Vantage Points: Sydney Harbour Bridge 📸
I spent a few days in Sydney and I loved it! The Harbour Bridge is one of the main attractions and I really enjoyed traveling to different locations around the city to photograph it against different backdrops. Here were my favorite locations:
1️⃣ Observatory Hill Rotunda - In my opinion this is the best viewpoint in Sydney! The best part is that it is walking distance to the Sydney CBD!
2️⃣ Blues Point Reserve - Another good viewpoint but you’ll need to take public transport. Take either the T1 or T9 train 🚇 to North Sydney and then walk for about 20 minutes down Blue Points Road. Or you can take the ferry ⛴️ from Circular Quay to McMahon’s Point!
3️⃣ Mrs Macquaries Point - Another popular spot near Sydney’s Botanical Gardens 🪴 After soaking up the skyline it’s a nice place to take a walk and admire the variety of trees and flowers on display!
4️⃣ Sydney Harbor Bridge - The walk across the bridge is worth it. Take some really cool pictures of the bridge as well as the city below.
Have fun exploring Sydney! 📸

Sydney Observatory
#sydneytrip
Even in today's technologically advanced world, when I saw the observatory's 1880s telescopes, I marveled at the science and rigor of the foundry industry of that era. Many related information came from a girl called Khushi; she was warm, polite and attentive. Her style of presentation was very lively and interactive. It was an unforgettable memory.
Sydney Observatory
#sydneytrip The hill has wonderful views of the city and it topped with the magnificent observatory. I recommend a visit to the hill when you’re in Sydney and I HIGHLY recommend the tour of the observatory. It is well worth the ticket price. I recommend purchasing a ticket ahead of time and going even if it is cloudy or looks like rain.
Our tour guide, Jack, spent over an hour with us, providing the most interesting information about the history of the hill and observatory itself and how it was used when it was started all the way until now. He loved questions and was a wealth of information. As a lay person with only the most basic knowledge of the stars, navigation, and weather (I.e. they exist), I could easily follow Jack’s explanations, and also learned more than I ever thought I could understand about these complex topics.
Even though it was a cloudy night, opening the dome and looking through the telescope were big highlights of our trip to Sydney. Jack was still able to find celestial bodies for us to look at and show us a bit on how the complex computer system attached to the telescope works.
Overall, I can’t imagine anyone who has ever looked up at the sky that wouldn’t find value in this tour. Thank you, Jack and the powerhouse team for your hospitality!
What to bring: A mat
#Picnic spot where you only need a mat
Actually, it doesn't matter ☺️ Sydney Observatory!
I recommend you visit on a clear day around sunset to see the sunset and the night view of Luna Park

A nice trip to Sydney!
This is my very first business trip to Sydney you can see there are myriads of multi culture with lots of people from other countries, I stay at the Langham Sydney in King Street, and this is a very tranquil area where there is a little terrace and secret garden for you to relax. The surroundings are mainly business centres and courtyards where you can truly relax yourself.
Sightseeing Sydney Observatory
📍1003 Upper Fort St, Millers Point NSW 2000, Australia
💵 : FREE
🕰️ : best to come at sunset
We went during the day and it was lovely. Heaps to look at including a Astro photographic competition. The grounds are well kept and our young kids were well entertained for a long while. It’s a bit of a walk from The rocks but honestly not too far. The staff were really friendly and helpful also.
We had the good fortune to visit the Sydney Observatory during a quiet time midweek. Normally it’s so busy and crowded that you don’t get the opportunity to look at everything. But because of COVID-19 it was almost deserted, so we ended up spending almost 2 hours exploring the wonderful exhibits across the 3 levels, as well as the lovely gardens which have views of the city, the harbour and the bridge. The staff were wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

The view is beautiful. I went in the morning and couldn't visit the observatory. It's nice to just see the view. I want to go again in the evening.
