Please do not enter the water under any circumstances. 🅿️There are two parking lots. If you want to skip the stairs, you can drive to the side of the shrine office, but if you have the chance, we strongly recommend parking your car under the torii gate and climbing while feeling the mysterious world view.🥹✨Below the torii gate is a parking space that uses the shoulder of the road. There are no guardrails and the shoulder of the road is not maintained, so please be careful when parking. Also, the bear 🐻 warning sign is a bit scary. I went to Takijinja Shrine (Mino City, Gifu Prefecture), where the approach and grounds are surrounded by tall cedar trees! The torii gates, Komainu, and stone steps are covered in thick moss, and the sunlight filtering in through the gaps in the trees was fantastic. The shrine is located in the mountains of Otogari, on the northwestern edge of Mino City, at an altitude of about 420m. There was an interesting explanation on the information board about the history of Takijinja Shrine. "The reason there is no offering box in the precincts is that it was once placed there, but then a children's plague broke out, so it was lost again, and there is a custom that offerings placed at the shrine are always given to children, who then use them up."
