Climbing the 97 steps of the lighthouse and enjoying the vast ocean view is highly recommended. This lighthouse is one of the few lighthouses in Japan that you can climb, so it was a precious experience. The weather was bad the day I went, so the view wasn't spectacular, but it would have been great to see the magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea… The corn juice sold in the parking lot was also delicious! 💰Entrance fee: 300 yen 📍Toriike Pond on Shimoji Island About 30 minutes from Miyako Island city across the Irabu Bridge. A natural monument pond on Irabu Island. There's a legend about Toriike Pond, and it's also known as a power spot. Because of its depth, the color is more of a dark navy blue than a bright blue. This pond is connected to the sea and is apparently a famous diving spot. There's also a walking path, making it a great place to enjoy nature! 📍Sunayama Beach This beach boasts beautiful white sand and a stunning cobalt blue sea. The weather wasn't great that day, so the water looked a little cloudy, but Miyako Island's sea was still beautiful!
