In recent years, there have been direct flights from Hong Kong to Shikoku, and many people have traveled there. One of the major tourist attractions in Shikoku is the Oboke Gorge sightseeing boat tour in Tokushima Prefecture. Today, I want to introduce you to Hanan Coffee, which is just a 5-minute walk from JR Oboke Station. Oboke and Koboke are narrow canyon rapids, and the JR Dosan Line is very winding and twisting. The Oboke Station is located right next to the river, and as soon as you get off the station, you will see the word 'COFFEE' written in large letters on the other side of the canyon. This is Hanan Coffee. This small shop only offers coffee and snacks like pastries, but the view of the canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and noisy crowds, provides a comfortable environment where every sip of coffee lingers in your mouth. Trains arrive almost every hour, and watching the train slowly pull into the station while sipping coffee is one of my favorite sights. Among them, the train running between Tadotsu in Kagawa Prefecture and Oboke in Tokushima Prefecture stands out with its exterior themed around the four seasons 🌸☀️🍂❄️ and its interior showcasing traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The seats on the train offer direct views through large windows of the passing scenery, such as Mt. Iino and Manno Pond in Kagawa Prefecture. It's rare to visit Shikoku, so make sure to include this in your itinerary! A Rare Sight 👍🏻 This bridge, made from vines, uses about 6 tons of vines and wood, is 45 meters long and 2 meters wide, and is currently designated as an Important Tangible Folk Cultural Property. When you walk across the vine bridge, you can see the clear river water through the gaps between the wooden planks. The occasional swaying and shaking can be quite thrilling, but also very fun 😄! Man Bridge is an ancient suspension bridge, 45 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 14 meters above the river. It is woven with mountain vines and steel cables. It was an important lifeline for mountain residents in the past. Originally, such bridges were everywhere, but now there are only a few left. Now it is used for sightseeing, allowing tourists to step onto the Man Bridge and experience the scene of mountain residents crossing the bridge in the past! The vine bridge is one-way, and most people will walk forward while holding on to the vines on both sides. It doesn’t seem too scary when standing on the side of the bridge, because I am used to playing exciting amusement rides!
