Big Sur→A wonder on the California Highway coastline
Big Sur, the first place in the 'Rural Landscape' section of the 50 classics recommended by National Geographic. Big Sur is not a fixed attraction, but a road about 90 miles long on Highway 1 in the United States, from Carmel to Hearst Castle, every place is worth stopping, and any casual shot is a blockbuster.
Big Sur (Big Sur) is located in the middle of the California coastline, connecting Carmel Fish Saint Simon. The origin of the name Big Sur is Spanish, meaning 'Big South', but the south here refers to the southern part of the Monterey Peninsula. Half cliff, half ocean, this road that combines oddity, danger, and handsomeness, in addition to beauty, is also a test of the driver's skills.
This winding road can definitely be called a charming, romantic, thrilling and exciting section in the American coastline, the magnificent Pacific Ocean, the beautiful sunset, the deep canyon, the deep forest, the rugged mountains Various natural landscapes are integrated into this section of the journey, just like a natural art gallery, and you will not feel tired of visiting 100 times.
Big Sur✅Must experience
➡️Driving on the coastal highway
Driving on California Highway 1 along the cliff, passing through the towering red shirt forest, stopping at the viewing platform, enjoying the beautiful scenery
➡️Feel the beautiful atmosphere of Nepenthe
If you come to Big Sur and don't go to Nepenthe, the whole journey is incomplete.
➡️Hike to the secluded bay
Go to the small road of Partington Cove, 3 kilometers back and forth, but 90 meters high, the vegetation on the road is rich, you can choose to go left or right halfway (the end point on the left is a small bay with few people), go to the right and pass the small bridge , There will be a tunnel (Paddington made, once walked S wine), pass through it, you can see the slag of Pa Gong Yang.
🧳Preparation before departure:
Check the weather: Be sure to choose a sunny day, everything has two sides, how charming the sunny Big Sur is, how terrifying the rainy Big Sur is.
Map: Download the offline map in advance, it is common to have no signal on the way.
Refuel: Fill up the car before entering Big Sur, there are few gas stations in this area and the price is expensive.
Driving time: It gets dark early in winter, it is recommended to play for 1 whole day, 7-8 hours in summer.
Check-in point
The two big bridges Rocky Creek Bridge and Bixby Creek Bridge have been built for more than 90 years. The two bridges are close in distance, similar in construction style, but the latter has a more magnificent view and is easy to produce big shots.
Beach purple beach
This beach is not a romantic and leisurely style, it is more like a desert in the forest, an oasis in the desert, to get here you have to cross a forest, drive a very narrow road, we come for the purple, but the naked eye But I can't see the obvious purple. After peeling off the surface yellow sand, the shallow purple will be revealed underneath, so many bloggers take pictures of the purple so obvious, it is really confusing, although I didn’t see the purple beach, but the wild and unruly temperament here also attracts me very much.
Smugglers Cave
A charming treasure cave, quiet with few people, very filmable.
Monterey Bay Aquarium
Stepping into the Monterey Bay Aquarium is like submerging yourself in the deepest, most mysterious parts of the ocean.
It isn’t a rinky-dink pet store where you watch goldfish swim around in circles.
It boasts massive, multi-story tanks that hold back millions of gallons of water and are larger than apartment buildings, and more than 35,000 sea creatures call them home.
The animals range from cute little starfish to deadly hammerhead sharks.
While most of the creatures live in the water, there are also birds, penguins, amphibians and crustaceans on land.
Visitors can explore the dark, shadowy corridors with the gigantic tanks above them and beside them.
They can also step outside to the observation decks that overlook the bay; many free-range animals can be seen splashing in the water and staring curiously at tourists.
If you’re wondering what to see in California, consider the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Between its size, scale and biodiversity, it’s definitely one of the top 10 destinations in the state.

#awesomepic Monterey Bay Aquarium
Take the baby, the United States, the first road, the essence of 17 miles, self-driving tour of the US Highway 1, the favorite is this self-driving route, like a scenic area to circle up, when driving in, you have to charge 10 dollars per car, enter the door I will get a map at the beginning. I just started to be cloudy and yin, I cant see any beautiful coastline. I didnt expect to go to the famous pebble beach. The weather became superb, the dark clouds were blown away, and the whole mood was getting better. I dont want to go to see the beach and the sea, Im playing with the stone pile, Im not thinking about it, we stayed here for a while, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the pleasant vacation.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium must not be taken with the baby.
At first, the aquarium is not on our travel list. In the morning we walked along the cannery street and found a long queue of factory buildings. This is the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which is known as the largest in North America. Traveling with children, I believe that you will not miss this popular science, dream, fun and industrial wind building. It is also a window to explore the magnificent underwater world, with 6,500 kinds of marine life and more than 300,000 marine life in the museum. Show it in a variety of fun ways.
Featured recommendation
California's No. 1 Highway has always been a good destination for self-driving travel, and the most beautiful part of it is Big Sur. The most famous and iconic attraction in big sur is the Bixby Creek Bridge. From San Francisco, we have been driving for more than 130 miles for about 3 hours.
This bridge was the largest single arch cement bridge in the world when it was completed in 1932. The bridge is 714 feet long. To this day, this bridge has always been one of the favorite spots for tourists, and there are often car advertisements here.
The left side is the peak of the tough line, the right side is the endless gentle Pacific Ocean, especially when there is sunshine. At both ends of the bridge, there are scenic spots where you can take photos for free parking. In comparison, the angle of the sea to the outside of the valley is better.
If there is a drone, aerial photography here is also a good perspective, just pay attention to the wind at the seaside, try not to fly too far.
About 13.3 miles south of Carmel Town, you will find the giant single-hole arch bridge at Bixby Creek Bridge, which is 19.5 miles from Bixby Bridge. Built in 1932, the 700-foot-long, 200-foot-high single-span concrete arch bridge was once the world's largest span single-hole arch bridge, which has been waiting for a century, reinforced concrete arched arch bridge. It is the longest concrete arch bridge on Highway 1 and one of the tallest concrete bridges in the world. When a new bridge rises around it, this old bridge can no longer be appreciated by the world. Fortunately, the time has given it new value. Today, the Bixby River Bridge has become one of the most photographed bridges on the West Coast of the United States.

California Sunset Art Museum.
The art museum in Sacramento, the capital of California, is worth a visit|||It is said that this art museum and the railway museum are the two treasures of the capital, and they really live up to their reputation.
No special, life is full of artistic conception.

A secluded Californian beach
State highway 1 or the Pacific coastal highway is of course one of California’s most famous roads with its stunning views of the ocean.
At the height of the summer, its popularity can lead to the area becoming quite overcrowded, with people often looking for a quieter spot.
One of these can be found by parking up at the Andrew Molera state park and taking the 20 minute walk through the hinterland to the fantastic and often empty beach which awaits #voyagevibes
Carmel-by-the-Sea,a romantic getaway
#100WaysOfTravel #beachlife #roadtrip Carmel-by-the-Sea is a romantic getaway to a seaside, art-filled village on California's Monterey Peninsula. It's well known for the museums and library of the historic Carmel Mission, and the fairytale cottages and galleries of its village-like center. The Scenic Bluff Path runs from surf spot Carmel Beach to bird-rich Carmel River State Beach, with a scuba entry point.
Mang people even bring their dogs to Carmel's beach、hotels, restaurants and galleries
17-Mile Drive.
17-Mile Drive is a famous scenic area in the United States. It is a road from Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach in California. The Pacific Ocean is on the east coast, and the coastline of California in the western United States stretches for thousands of miles. The road is 17 miles long, so the name of 17 miles is well-known. In fact, "17 miles" is a private beach. This is a veritable wealthy area. Each villa courtyard is decorated in this area, each is different and unique. There are gentle beaches and very steep cliffs; there are large areas of lush grasslands and dense ecological forests. Along the 17-mile golden coast, the sea is blue, the green woods are connected, the sun and the beach are adjacent, the air is fresh, and the climate is pleasant.
The hidden valley of Calla Lilies
#myhiddengems
Parking on the side of the road. Locate the sign at the trailhead and walk towards the shore and to the right. The path will take you down some stairs to a river where the lilies are. We came a little late in the season but there were still lilies there. Follow the river to the beach and it loops back to the trail head. Warning you'll need to cross the river once you hit the beach and it's hard to do without getting your feet wet.
Punching in at the gem on the West Coast of the United States Highway 1~
Monterey is also a city with a long history. As early as the Age of Discovery, in 1542, Europeans followed the Spanish Navy fleet into Monterey Bay for the first time. In 1602, Sebastián Vizcaíno, commissioned by the Spanish governor, came here to chart the sea and named it Monterey for the first time, in honor of the Count of Monterey in Spain. After experiencing the Spanish colonial era, Mexican independence, and the Mexican-American War, California was eventually ceded by Mexico to the United States.
Now it basically serves as a stopover for self-driving tourists on Highway 1, where they can check in and take photos as souvenirs.

🌉 San Francisco Sights: Nature, Drives & Castles 🌳🚗🏰
Feeling the vibe of San Francisco and its surroundings is like stepping into a diverse landscape of nature, history, and iconic drives. Here’s a snapshot of the top spots I’ve explored:
🏞️ Yosemite National Park, California
Imagine being surrounded by majestic mountains, an abundance of wildlife, and breathtaking waterfalls. Yosemite is a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers everything from hiking to rock climbing. Don't miss the Tunnel View lookout for a sunrise that frames El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome in one perfect picture. It's a natural marvel that calls for a full day or two of exploration.
🛣️ California 1, California, USA
Driving along the scenic California 1 is an absolute dream. With the Pacific on one side and rolling hills on the other, this route is dotted with sailboats, gray whales, and picturesque cliffs. From Stanford University to Bixby Bridge, each stop is a postcard-perfect moment. It’s a must for road trip enthusiasts and definitely worth the 2-3 days adventure.
🌊 17 Mile Dr, California, USA
The 17 Mile Drive is the epitome of coastal beauty. With over a dozen viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective of the relentless sea, wildlife, and historical sites, it’s a refreshing treat to the eyes and soul. Remember to pack snacks and take your time to soak in the views of this famous drive that requires half a day to truly appreciate.
🐠 Monterey Bay Aquarium, 886 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA
An underwater world awaits at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a gift from David Packard to his daughter. It's a place where you can touch marine life and learn about the ocean's wonders. The staff are friendly and the exhibits are immersive, making it an ideal place to spend 1-3 hours, especially with kids.
🏰 Hearst Castle, 750 Hearst Castle Rd, San Simeon, CA
Perched atop a hill, Hearst Castle is a testament to opulence and history. Built over 28 years, this sprawling estate blends European and Mediterranean architecture with a vast collection of antiques and artworks. Take a guided tour to experience the grandeur of this 20th-century marvel, which is well worth the 2-3 hours visit.
Each of these attractions holds a special place in my heart, and I hope they’ll steal a piece of yours too. Until next time, keep wandering and wondering!

Bixby Creek Bridge.
Visiting the Bixby Creek Bridge was an unforgettable experience in California. When I arrived, I contemplated the natural beauty surrounding the bridge, located on a mountain with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and sandy beaches. It was an astonishing moment when I saw the iconic bridge with its massive arch swaying over the valley.
While walking across the bridge, I enjoyed the sea and the fresh air, and I stopped to take commemorative photos of this landmark. It was a great moment to enjoy both the beauty of nature and the excellence of architecture. That visit left me with beautiful and unforgettable memories and a desire to return to enjoy the beauty of the area again.

Victoria Inn
The Victoria Inn in Monterey Bay is small and exquisite, the rooms are a bit old, the decoration style is very Victoria, the lobby and restaurant are very small, parking is very convenient, $17 per day, a few minutes drive from the Fisherman's Wharf.
The breakfast is acceptable, slightly better than the ordinary American breakfast.

A self-driving tour on California's Highway One
A self-driving tour on California's Highway One was a recent travel experience of mine that was truly unforgettable. I'd like to share this wonderful journey with you all.
Highway One in California, with a total length of 745 kilometers, is one of the world's famous coastal highways. Its magnificent scenery is breathtaking. I chose the route from San Francisco to Los Angeles, a winding highway that passes through Carmel, Big Sur, Santa Barbara and other cities, and many famous attractions.
Carmel is a charming town with endless white beaches and magnificent coastlines. I recommend everyone to take a walk on Carmel Beach, where you might encounter sea lions and seals.
Next, I arrived at the magnificent Big Sur Coast, where the towering cliffs and the vast ocean form an indescribable beauty. In Big Sur Coast Park, everyone can walk or drive to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The last stop is Santa Barbara, a city with a strong Spanish flavor. There are the gorgeous Santa Barbara Church and charming red-tile houses. You can stroll in the city center and taste authentic Mexican cuisine and local delicacies.
For Chinese tourists, I have a few suggestions and precautions. First, before touring Highway One, be sure to plan your itinerary and book hotels in advance. Due to the unique geographical location of Highway One, hotel resources are limited, and early booking can avoid trouble.
Secondly, there are many attractions along Highway One. It is recommended that tourists arrange their time reasonably, not to be greedy, so as not to miss more beautiful scenery. It is best to stay at each attraction for enough time to fully experience the unique charm of each place.
In addition, it is necessary to bring a pair of sunglasses and sunscreen, because the sun on Highway One is very strong. Also remember to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, because the attractions on Highway One usually require walking or climbing.
A self-driving tour on California's Highway One is an unforgettable travel experience. This picturesque highway will make you intoxicated. I hope my suggestions and precautions can help Chinese tourists who plan to tour Highway One. Don't hesitate, come and experience the charm of Highway One!
Enchanting Escape to Big Sur
Nestled along the breathtaking Highway 1, Big Sur is a true gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers. From towering redwood forests to dramatic coastal cliffs, this destination offers a plethora of rich experiences.
As you embark on scenic hikes, be prepared to have your breath taken away by the majestic views. Witness the cascading waterfalls at McWay Falls, where the crystal-clear waters meet the pristine sands of the beach. Exploring Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park will lead you deep into towering redwoods, where sunlight filters through the canopy, creating a magical atmosphere.
For those seeking tranquility, a visit to the tranquil beaches of Big Sur is a must. Lounge on the sandy shores of Andrew Molera State Park or take a dip in the refreshing waters of Pfeiffer Beach, famous for its beautiful purple sand and stunning rock formations.
Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the charming Big Sur Village, where you can find unique shops, art galleries, and delicious local cuisine. Indulge in some mouthwatering seafood at any of the quaint coastal restaurants, which offer fresh catches from the bountiful Pacific Ocean. Don't forget to try the locally sourced wines, as they complement the scenic views perfectly.
As you explore Big Sur, keep in mind that its captivating beauty comes with certain challenges. Be prepared for limited cell service and steep, winding roads. Plan your visit ahead, as accommodations can be limited in this remote destination. Maintain respect for the environment by following Leave No Trace principles and preserving the natural integrity of this remarkable place.
Embarking on a trip to Big Sur is like entering a world of natural wonders and enchantment. Disconnect from the bustling city life and reconnect with nature's breathtaking beauty. Big Sur will leave you with lasting memories and a longing to return.

Life advice: Always take a drive on Highway 1!
💜 Road trips can be said to be full of surprises, I really like this unexpected feeling.
🤍 The trip to the United States harvested a lot of beautiful scenery on Highway 1, among which the most unforgettable for me is Big Sur.
💜 We arrived at Big Sur at more than 8 o'clock in the morning, a layer of fog shrouded the sea, waited for more than an hour, slowly unveiled its veil, as if in a painting.

Highway 1 'Love of Mountains and Seas' - One of the must-visit spots in life
🇺🇸United States🇺🇸 Highway 1
A trip on Highway 1 in California, USA, is the most popular self-driving route in North America, without a doubt! Almost everyone who comes to the United States has to take a trip. Some people say: Driving on California Highway 1 is a kind of enjoyment, a kind of life attitude, a kind of baptism, a kind of fusion of people, sea, and sunshine.
🛣️Highway 1 starts from the north of San Francisco, winding southward until the south of Los Angeles, crossing the entire western coastline of California. Unlike the desolate and vast 'American Highway' in the impression, Highway 1 is sunny and sea all the way, with distinctive towns and national parks along the way, making it more than just a monotonous sea view. Californians are the most life-loving group of people in the United States. They have their own philosophy of pleasure. For them, Highway 1 is not just a highway, but their life.
🌊On one side is the vast Pacific Ocean, on the other side is the steep and towering cliff mountains, the rocks stir up pieces of white waves, which is the most classic view of Highway 1. In the early morning, the mist is lingering, as if walking in the clouds. In the evening, watching the sunset glow on the sea sprinkling on the Pacific Ocean is the most comfortable!
🚗Friends who go to California Highway 1 can drive to Big Sur and then go back, walk more than 100 kilometers, Monterey to Big Sur round trip takes more than 2 hours, but the scenery along the way to Big Sur is very beautiful, worth a detour.
🌸Wish everyone out there, pay attention to safety, have a pleasant journey

Bixby Bridge, one of Central California's most photographed spots, is a must-see on your California road trip. It promises breathtaking views and an unforgettable sunset. Recognize it from "Big Little Lies"? Who wants to witness a sunset here? 🌅
Whale watching at Monterey!
I went to watch whales at Monterey bay. The weather is nice and cold. We took a boat about 2 hours to the whale spots. It was stunning and great experiences!
Around the bay, there are so many shops and restaurants. We got a yummy ice cream. #whalewatching #trip #monterey #california
Mastering the Art of Carry-On Travel
Embarking with just a carry-on offers convenience, cost-efficiency, and speed. Escape baggage fees and long waits at check-in and baggage claim. These six tips help you navigate the challenge:
Utilize your personal item
Opt for layered clothing
Embrace packing cubes
Roll, don't fold
Wear what you can during check-in
Choose the right shoes
In my current nomadic journey with eleven pieces of luggage, these principles remain valuable. 🧳✈️
