The faded Christian paintings on surrounding rocks are quiet traces of this life, marking places of prayer rather than decoration. Hidden deep in the stone landscape of the Latmos Mountains, Yediler Monastery is not an easy place to reach — and that is part of its power. Reaching it today still requires effort. We walked here in early October, and even then the heat was intense. The path was long, rocky, and exposed — at times more climbing than walking. There is no water along the way, so bringing more than you think you’ll need. We also visited in spring, when the landscape felt completely different. The mountains turned green and soft, filled with the aromas of wild Mediterranean herbs — thyme, sage, oregano, and touches of wild lavender. We spent almost 5 hours at this airport. The flight was delayed through no fault of the airport staff. There are cozy shops and a welcoming lounge area. The wait flew by. This is the view from the business lounge balcony of the waiting area. The selection of snacks and drinks is quite decent; it could have been better, but we've seen worse. This is literally the first place in Turkey where they make decent Turkish coffee.

Traveling to Fethiye in November, I recommend visiting the So Beach Club. During this time, the club is already closed, so there's a chance to have the entire beach to yourself. Near the Yeni Hamidiye Mosque, there is a bus stop from which you can reach Oludeniz and the cable car to Mount Babadag. I suggest going up the mountain at sunset—the view is stunning. In Oludeniz, I liked the beach in the center of the village the most; the Blue Lagoon didn't impress me as it was shallow and had some silt in places. I also recommend taking a boat trip with swimming included. From the Fethiye bus station, you can take a trip to Kas for a walk. The central beach in Kas wasn't impressive, but you can wander endlessly through its cozy streets.
