#Bahrain International Airport Bahrain international airport is a magnificent piece of infrastructure. It's well lit with natural light, fully air conditioned and very, very clean. Direction signs are clear and precise. Staff are very helpful as well. In one sentence: it's one of the best airports that I have transited from a few times now. Even though my travels are very much only between a few countries.

On my way to Thailand, I had a seven hour transit in Bahrain. Fortunately I had access to the airport hotel where a three hour stay is possible with a platinum American Express card. The airport hotel is situated near gate 15 and has a range of different rooms. I enjoyed the use of a pod and had a shower afterwards to freshen up before my onward flight. I flew Jazeera Airways to Bahrain with a layover in Kuwait. It's a good airline, especially if you're looking for a good price. Meals aren't included, but you can buy them online (the most expensive is $10). Carry-on baggage isn't checked for size or weight. The flight from Moscow was 40 minutes later than scheduled, and there was a two-hour delay on the return flight, but we were lucky. There was fog in Kuwait.
