Summer Romantic Destinations Collection
Summer is the perfect time for a spontaneous, fresh Japanese-style trip with your significant other! 🌈 This "skewer-style" trip with my girlfriend Vira was absolutely amazing, covering everything from sunflower fields to seaside stations, from railway ruins to strawberry farms, capturing all the hidden gems of Japan~
🌻【Shrine Sunflower Field Blast】
📍Muko Shrine (Muko City, Kyoto Prefecture)
The summer-only sunflower fields are made for Instagram! The golden blooms from July to August are stunning. We recommend wearing a light-colored dress with a straw hat. The shrine’s goshuin book even has an exclusive, super cute design.
🌊【Must-Visit Beach Stations】
1️⃣ JR Shioya Station (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture)
Known as the "station closest to the sea," you can see Awaji Island right from the platform! Best to visit at sunset. There’s a seaside café inside the station that’s super romantic.
2️⃣ Old Noto Railway Iida Station Ruins (Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture)
The abandoned tracks stretch straight into the Sea of Japan, accompanied by the soothing sound of shell wind chimes—super healing.
🚞【Railway Enthusiast’s Paradise】
1️⃣ Railway Museum (Saitama City)
Limited edition train models plus real trains on display. Even my girlfriend said it was more fun than she expected! The second-floor railway bento exhibition will make your mouth water...
2️⃣ JR Kushimoto Station (Kushimoto Town, Wakayama Prefecture)
Blue sea and sky with a red station sign. In front of the station is a popular local whale-shaped monument. Don’t forget to buy Kushimoto taiyaki as a souvenir.
🍓【Sweet Picking Experience】
Miura Strawberry Farm (Bungo-ono City, Oita Prefecture)
You don’t have to go to Hokkaido to enjoy strawberry picking! June to July is the last picking season. Be sure to try the farm’s homemade strawberry daifuku.
📸【Top Photo Spots】
➡️ Tottori Sand Dunes: Recommended to shoot at dawn or dusk for a magical contrast between desert and sea.
➡️ Ikema Bridge: A must-visit jellyfish sea viewpoint on Miyako Island, with a dedicated photo platform on the bridge.
➡️ HANAHASU Park: A lotus flower secret spot in Fukui Prefecture, where you can see rare three-colored lotuses in July.
💡Useful Tips
✅ JR West Pass is super handy; it covers basically all these stations.
✅ WILD Beach has shower facilities (inside Kisarazu Seaside Park).
✅ Remember to bring sunscreen spray in summer; sand dunes and beaches are especially easy to get sunburned.
✅ Some farms require reservations (like the strawberry farm).
Finally, a recommendation for the hidden gem hotel we stayed at: Osaka Karakusa Select Hotel. Super convenient transportation and even a laundry room! Before heading back, we also stopped by Nagai Botanical Garden’s teamLab exhibition. The light and flower sea was the perfect ending to this trip!

[🇯🇵Kyoto] Eat omelet rice in a Japanese-style space!
"Shina Cafe" in Muko City (Kyoto)
When it comes to delicious omurice in Kyoto, this is the place to go🥚!!
This cafe has a lovely Japanese atmosphere.
This time, we had the Takana and Shirasu Omurice (with plum sauce) and the Seafood Omurice with Japanese-style Mentaiko Cream💛
The soft eggs are delicious, and the rice inside has a comforting Japanese taste☺️
The refreshing sourness of the plum is perfect for the summer heat!
The drinks were also delicious♡
There are counter and raised seats, so I think it's a restaurant that's easy to go to with children.
🚃About 15 minutes (walk) from Nishimuko Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line
About 20 minutes (walk) from JR Mukomachi Station

Kyoto City Rakusai Bamboo Forest Park
This is a rare facility in the world with the theme of "bamboo".
There is a bamboo museum, a children's square, and an ecological garden where various types of bamboo and Japanese bamboo are planted. There are also stone Buddhas with a long history in the park.
transportation
Take the city bus (West 3 bus, West 8 bus) from the West Exit of Katsura Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line, get off at Minamifukunishicho Station and walk for 5 minutes.

Kyoto City Rakusai Bamboo Park
#thingstodo
A hidden spot in west Kyoto. Arashiyama’s bamboo forest is world famous, but in a way I think this one can be considered better. The park itself itself is surrounded by large forests of bamboo that are commercially raised. The garden hosts many different types of bamboo, stone buddhas, a miniature museum, and a gift shop. Entry is free. A must-visit.

Cafe & Dining HANA Muko
Cafe & Dining HANA Muko
A restaurant located above the city hall
It has a great view, and although the window seats are limited to two people, you can enjoy lunch while watching the scenery.
At the moment, due to COVID-19, it is not possible to sit at the window seats if there are more than three people.
It was built a few years ago, so it is very clean.

Gyoza no Ohsho Higashimuko Branch
Gyoza no Ohsho's food is consistent!
Ramen set and Tianjin rice set
The ramen set comes with fried rice and gyoza. The Tianjin rice set comes with soup and fried chicken
A very satisfying menu.
The food is ready quickly, so it's a great place to eat when you want to eat quickly!
The egg in the Tianjin rice is plump and the sauce is delicious.
The soup has a slight ginger-like taste.

[Omelet rice with a unique Kyoto retro flavor] in Mukō City
【Nakakoji House】 in Kyoto
What is the beloved local "Nakakoji House"?
This shop is quietly nestled in Mukō City, Kyoto Prefecture. Walking along the traditional Japanese cobblestone street, your eyes are drawn to the "Nakakoji House." It's a coffee shop.
As a local, I recommend their wide variety of omurice (omelet rice), which is incredibly delicious and difficult to replicate at home. ☺️🥚💛
Beyond the beauty of the Japanese house itself, the retro atmosphere you experience after stepping inside is fantastic. I love the style of taking off your shoes before entering; it feels like being invited into someone's home. 🏠 The interior, tableware, and atmosphere are all wonderful.
Please do come and visit us! ♡
By the way, during the Hina Matsuri (Girls' Festival) season, you can see some incredibly cute Hina dolls that will exceed your expectations...🎎🌸
They are truly breathtaking!!!!!
🚃 10-minute walk from Nishimuko Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line
Approximately a 30-minute walk from both JR Mukomachi Station and Nagaokakyo Station
*For those considering cafe hopping in this area: There are surprisingly many cafes in Muko City and Nagaokakyo City. We have a recommended cafe within a 20-minute walk from this shop!!!! ...So it might be perfect for cafe hopping🫣💕 (There's also another retro cafe near Nagaoka Tenjin Station!)
