Unique Natural beauty of Munnar
Mattupetty Dam in Kerala is a tranquil escape in the lap of nature. Surrounded by lush hills, this dam offers picturesque views. To reach, take a taxi from Munnar, which is about 13 kilometers away. The serene atmosphere is perfect for a leisurely stroll or boat ride. The dam is a great spot for bird-watching and photography. While it's a beautiful location, it can get crowded, so visiting during weekdays is recommended for a more peaceful experience.

Hiking in the higlands of Munnar
Item : Munnar, Kerala
Location : 10.0889° N, 77.0595° E
Munnar is located in the Western Ghats mountain range in India's Kerala state. Munnar is a highlands area of >1500m elevation and perfect place to cultivate tea. Here you can see many tea plantations from the new to old brand names. Hindus, Christian and Muslim all tolerated each other peacfully. Even their public transport pictures of Lord Krishna, a cross and islamic scripts are posted on the screen for spiritual protection. Amazing sight. All the restaurants do not serve cow meat as the hindus worship cow. They only serve chicken and lamb to repect the hindus enven though they are christians and muslims. Munnar hilly range is perfect place for hiker and those who enjoy camping and glamping. You need to avoid monsoon season though. The monsoon season is harsh. Flash floods here kills resulting in landslides that also claim lives.
