Fukuoka Four-Day, Three-Night Trip Review This four-day, three-night trip to Fukuoka truly embodied the essence of "eating, drinking, and having fun." Our first stop was Ichiran Ramen's main restaurant. While there are branches in Taiwan, the atmosphere at Ichiran Ramen is completely different. From the moment I ordered, it felt like a pilgrimage. The broth was still rich and fragrant, leaving me satisfied until the last sip. A cultural tour was essential during the day, and a visit to Kushida Shrine was a must. The shrine is especially peaceful in the early morning, its solemn atmosphere allowing one to temporarily let go of the excitement and rush of travel and quietly pray for safety and success. Next, we ventured into the common people's stomachs and headed to the original Nagahamaya. Their ramen is simple yet unpretentious, open 24 hours a day. Sitting down with a bowl of piping hot noodles is like breathing in the city. As night falls, Fukuoka transforms completely. The night view of Fukuoka Tower illuminates the seaside skyline. Walking into the Tenjin and Nakasu yatai, the warmth of the people fills the stalls one after another, where yakitori, oden, ramen, and the aroma of sake blend together – this is the truest Fukuoka nightlife. The next day, we made a special trip to Nagahama Fish Market. Unlike the touristy crowds, it's a place where you can experience the daily bustle of local life. The fresh fish and seafood donburi are simply blissful, and you won't want to leave. Of course, you can't just eat at one ramen place. The incredibly rich tonkotsu broth at Dapao Ramen is a completely different experience. It was worth it to experience two classics in just a few days. The final stop was the Tenjin Underground Shopping Center. It's more than just a shopping paradise, it's a place to collect memories, from souvenirs to everyday items, all in one place. This Maedaya restaurant is about 600 meters from where I stayed at the Tokyu Stay Tenjin branch. It specializes in beef offal hot pot, and the atmosphere is very similar to an izakaya (Japanese pub). I mainly wanted beef offal hot pot, so I also ordered mentaiko (spicy cod roe), grilled black Wagyu beef, and ate it with my hands. The fat melted slowly in my mouth, and the combination with onions and wasabi was incredibly tender and delicious. The Kumamoto Prefecture-selected sashimi horse meat, dipped in chopped green onions and a little soy sauce, had absolutely no gamey taste; the meat was very elastic and had a unique meaty aroma. The limited-edition boiled oysters were just average, nothing special. The highlight was the Wagyu offal hot pot miso flavor, which is also their signature beef offal hot pot. They offer three flavors: soy sauce and spicy. Picking up the beef offal and seeing the fatty part in the middle was incredibly tempting. Besides the three main ingredients, there were other side dishes underneath, such as tofu and enoki mushrooms—quite a generous selection. Beef intestines are a type of offal, but because they are thoroughly cleaned, they have absolutely no fishy or unpleasant smell. On the contrary, when paired with a well-prepared hot pot broth, they are incredibly delicious and perfect with rice or as a accompaniment to drinks.

Since all the cuts were available as individual menu items, I enjoyed comparing the different textures and flavors of each part. "Spicy Noodles" Although it looked fiery red, it was surprisingly mild. Nakasu was crowded with tourists, but the turnover was fast so we didn't have to wait that long. There were a lot of food stalls, so the atmosphere was nice and fun. However, it's hot in the summer so a fan is a must💦 I recommend renting a car to go to Itoshima. There are also a lot of photo spots and it was a place where you can enjoy seafood.
