🇯🇵Self-driving tour of Okinawa|Stop and go along the coastline
#rentacar
When you come to Okinawa, which is surrounded by the sea, of course, what you can’t miss is the beautiful coastline! If you drive a one-day trip, you can have a lot of fun. If you don’t drive, you can also take a special route around the island bus or directly sign up for a one-day trip, saving worry and effort❤️
A one-day leisurely coastline itinerary is roughly as follows: drive all the way south from Naha, arrive at Gyokusen Cave, visit the stalactites, and have a lunch at the Cultural Kingdom, then walk along the southern coastline and pass by Cape Chinen Park. Along with many beautiful unnamed scenic spots, you can stop and go. I can still remember the endless feeling. It is definitely worth a visit!

Okinawa Attractions | Go deep into the center of the earth to visit the largest limestone cave in Okinawa—Okinawa World·Yuquan Cave
#100 Ways to Travel
Okinawa World(おきなわワールド)
🕰️Business hours: 09:00-17:30
📍Address: 202 Maekawa, Tamaki, Nanchang City, Okinawa Prefecture
🗓️Itinerary:
The largest stalactite cave in Okinawa and the second largest in Japan - Yuquan Cave is located in southern Okinawa. During a geological survey in the 1960s, the stalactite cave hidden deep underground was accidentally discovered. The huge underground space of more than 5000 meters is filled with giant stalactites. In order to balance the natural landscape protection and tourism development, only 1/5 of the space of Yuquan Cave is currently open for tourists to visit. Until now, the stalactites have continued to grow at a rate of 1 centimeter per year.
Transportation strategy: Gyokusen Cave is located in Nanjo City Okinawa World (おきなわワールド). Okinawa World includes Gyokusen Cave, Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town, Viper Museum, restaurants and breweries. Self-driving is the most convenient transportation method. You can also take a bus. From Naha Airport, take the Ryukyu Bus No. 83 Gyokusen-dong Line. There are fewer daily departures. From Naha Bus Terminal (next to Asahibashi Monorail Station), take Ryukyu Bus No. 54 Maekawa Line or No. 83 Gyokusendong Line to get there.
Currently, Okinawa World only has one ticket price, ¥2,000 for those aged 15 and above, and ¥1,000 for ages 4 to 14. It allows you to visit all parks with one ticket, and individual parks are no longer sold separately. The temperature in Yuquan Cave is about 20 degrees all year round, and the air is fresh and natural scenery (the walk takes about 40 minutes, and there is no restroom in the cave). The lights in the stalactite cave are dim, and there are special lighting in some areas. The trails are wet and random. The limestone terrain requires climbing up and down, which is difficult for people with disabilities, and it is even more difficult to walk in a wheelchair.
Walking in the stalactite cave, various sizes of stalactites and stalagmites are displayed in front of us. Each pool of water is like a "green spring", which is one of the most beautiful scenes in Yuquan Cave. Although the cave is relatively dark and dark. It's eerie, but you can't resist the curiosity to find out more. You can witness with your own eyes the wonders of 300,000 years of nature's miraculous craftsmanship. The Kingdom Village, which is connected to the Kingdom of Culture at the end, has renovated ancient houses that are over 100 years old. You can participate in various experience activities at your own expense and enjoy a Taiko performance, which is very explosive. The last stop is the Venomous Snake Museum, a world-class venomous snake museum, displays of live snakes and reptiles, performances of venomous snakes and meerkats, etc. The whole tour takes about 3 to 5 hours and is well worth the visit.

Okinawa, Japan-Amazing and magnificent stalactite cave: Yuquan Cave
#naturalscape #100 ways to travel
The well-known tourist attraction in southern Okinawa, #Gyokusen Cave, is located in the #Okinawa World Cultural Kingdom. The park includes Gyokusen Cave, Kingdom Village and the Viper Museum. The most interesting one is undoubtedly the stalactites of Gyokusen Cave, which is the second largest stalactite in Japan. The total length of the cave is about 5 kilometers, but only 900 meters are open to visitors.
The underground cave of Yuquan Cave is very open, full of all kinds of strange stalactites and stalagmites, as well as flowing underground rivers. It is quite magnificent under the light projection, and has also derived various unique names: Cave King, Silver Pillar, Silver Taki Pillars, ground smoke の滝, green spring ⋯, etc.
Because it is a limestone terrain, the cave is humid and hot. Fortunately, there are complete facilities along the way. Just be careful that your feet are slippery. It is an attraction suitable for all ages. It takes about half an hour to walk around, and it is quite worth it.
As for Kingdom Village, it is actually somewhat similar to Ryukyu Village, but the commercial atmosphere is a bit too heavy. You can just browse the souvenir area; the Viper Museum is a small zoo. If you are afraid of reptiles, you can skip it.

Okinawa World-Cultural Kingdom Yuquan Cave In-depth Tour
#OkinawaAttractions
In addition to snorkeling activities, Okinawa also has many unique attractions
This time I chose the Yuquan Cave attraction.
Okinawa Cultural Kingdom is a scenic paradise
Its most unique feature is the underground stalactite cave Yuquan Cave
The stalactites and pillars in the cave are densely packed, and nature’s miraculous craftsmanship is everywhere.
The cave is also very humid, so be careful when walking through the cave to avoid slipping.
The strange-shaped rocks in the cave are even more beautiful under the light
After exiting Yuquan Cave, there are other attractions worth visiting in the park.
I particularly like the Viper Winery and folk dance performances
Don’t miss this attraction when taking your children to Okinawa

Gyokusendo Cave - Okinawa World
Gyokusendo cave is the longest underground cave in Okinawa and portion of it is accessible to the public from the Okinawa World park. The cave features stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over the years from lime deposits. The cave is easy to explore, with man-made paths for visitors and should take no more than an hour. A detailed information on the formation of these unique rocks are provided along the path. The luminance provided by the lights add an interesting colour to the rocks and water.

Nanjo, Okinawa - Japan- This beach is located in the south part of Okinawa. This place is popular beacase of the famous tea house there. People always line up during lunch and afternoon in order to enjoy this view while having lunch or snack.
The cave is located Naha city. The cave system is a good length and offers views of different types of formations. The pathway through the cave is all metal walkways, so it is easy for the not-so-sure-footed. Prepare to get dripped on a bit as you walk through the moisture filled cave, and be sure to take a peek in the cave ponds. You can see shrimp/crayfish, fish, and crabs! You have to spend a ticket for this attraction, but it is a place very rich of things to be see. My favourite was the rettilarium, and the snake show. Very interesting was for sure the cave, and also the glass factory. Very interesting place to go, and we can find souvenir shops at the end of the cave. I have rented a Japanese traditional costume during my visit and took a few pictures for 500 yen.

Okinawa Gyokusendo Cave: A Feast of Light and Shadow
🎐 Generally, the impression of a stalactite cave is dark and damp. However, Okinawa's Gyokusendo Cave is quite different. With the meticulous lighting management by the local staff, I deeply felt the wonders of nature, as if stepping into a mysterious fairyland:
🌀 As I stepped into the entrance of Gyokusendo Cave, a cool breeze greeted me, immediately dispelling the outside heat. The temperature inside the cave is maintained between 20 to 23 degrees, making it comfortable and pleasant. As I gradually went deeper, the soft lighting illuminated the path ahead, and the surrounding stalactites began to come into view.
🔎 Turning the first corner, I saw stalactites of various shapes, some resembling elegant dancers, while others stood quietly like guardian deities. The lights cast enchanting shadows on the stone walls, making each stone sparkle. The further I went, the richer the colors of the lights became, making the contours of the stalactites more three-dimensional.
👣 Following the slippery path, I arrived at a spacious cave hall, where the stalactite columns were grand and magnificent, as if telling me stories of a thousand years. The lighting designers cleverly used lights to dress the stalactites in different colors in various areas, making the stalactites appear dreamlike in the interplay of light and shadow, bringing new surprises and emotions with every step.
😱 In the final stage of exploration, I reached a special area of stalactites, where the lights focused on a row of particularly small, seemingly newly formed stalactites. I couldn't help but stop and admire these natural sculptures that looked like works of art. Under the illumination, these stalactites seemed to come to life, attracting the attention of every visitor.
👍🏻 This adventure in Gyokusendo Cave not only left me in awe of nature's wonders but also deeply appreciated the charm of lighting art. Every corner was filled with mystery and beauty, making it hard to leave. If you have the chance to visit Okinawa, don't miss this stunning must-see attraction!
Okinawa Kingdom Village Gyokusendo Cave
⚠️ Entry closes at 16:00, so make sure to manage your time well.
Gyokusendo Cave is located within the Kingdom Village, and it's a bit far if you're driving 🚗.
The ticket price is less than 500 TWD.
It takes about 40 minutes to walk through, stopping and taking photos. There are dedicated paths and some stairs, but due to the geological conditions, the floor inside is quite wet, so watch your step👣.
The scenery inside is magnificent, with colors enhanced by lighting, but it's still very beautiful and definitely worth a visit!
Valley of Gangala: A Hidden Jungle Oasis Beneath the Earth 🇯🇵
#japantrip
Nestled in Okinawa Japan, the Valley of Gangala is like stepping into a lost world.
As we descend into the lush limestone caves, the ancient forest envelops us in a serene, almost mystical atmosphere.
A visit to the valley brings the natural beauty and history to life, with tales of prehistoric humans and rare plants thriving in this secluded haven. The highlight? A centuries-old banyan tree that feels almost sacred.
Whether one is a nature lover or just seeking tranquility, the Valley of Gangala offers an unforgettable escape from the modern world.
My rating: 4.5 ⭐️ out of 5!
Okinawa Food | Eat fresh tempura on Obu Island, Cat Island - Nakamoto Fresh Fish Tempura
#100 Ways to Travel
Store name: Nakamoto Fresh Fish Tempura Store (#中本fresh鱼てんぷら店)
📍Address: Obu 9, Tamaki, Nancheng City, Okinawa Prefecture
🕰️Business hours: 10:30~18:00 (Closed on Thursday)
💰Per capita consumption: ¥100 yen~
💞Recommended reasons:
A small outlying island located in the south of #Okinawa, it belongs to #Owu Island in Nancheng City. Because there are many cats on the island, it is also called #cat岛. Could it be because there are many fish in the fishing port, so cats naturally come here !
Transportation strategy: Self-driving in #Okinawa is the most convenient means of transportation. It takes about 15 minutes from Gyokusen Cave and 30 to 40 minutes from Naha City. If you really can’t drive by yourself, you can take bus No. 39 or 40 from Naha Asahibashi Bus Terminal, get off at Nanjo City City Hall Station, and transfer to buses C1, C2, D1, and D2 to get to Obu Island.
Nakamoto Fresh Fish Tempura Shop is located at the entrance of Owu Island. It originally started by selling fresh fish. The leftover catch was made into tempura and sold. Unexpectedly, it became an instant hit. The must-eat #seaweed #水云, a local specialty of Okinawa, is rich in nutrients and low in calories. It is known as "# longevity algae", but I still prefer to eat fresh cold seaweed. Different from the crispy texture, their dough is thicker and richer in dough and egg flavor. It wraps fresh seafood and you can enjoy the simple original taste of tempura. The price starts at ¥100 yen. . There are not many seats in the store, but you can walk to the beach and sit and eat, looking at the blue sky and beach of Onu Island and the lazy cats.

Okinawa’s stunning natural wonders-Gyokusen Cave
#OkinawaTravel
If I want to introduce to Okinawa must go to the attraction, it must be Yuquan Cave, in fact, before going to think the cave is very small, but after going to find the whole cave is very large, entrance to exit, if you watch carefully, It can take at least 1 hour.
The cave is filled with stalactites of various shapes, and although the temperature in Okinawa was as high as 30 degrees that day, the cave was only in the 20s that day, which was very cool.
In addition to the stone, there are various natural springs in the cave to visit, of which the one that impressed me the most is the spring of the blue, if you are lucky you can also see the spring shrimp, spring fish, etc., the whole attraction is good Shocking, a view you can’t see in Hong Kong.

The park features a distillery where you can personally observe the brewing process of Awamori, a specialty of Okinawa, and even have the opportunity to taste freshly brewed liquor, experiencing the unique local drinking culture. Chinen Peninsula ~ Half-day trip 🇯🇵🇯🇵
The sky in Okinawa in summer is always very blue. You don’t need any filters when taking pictures. It’s beautiful to take pictures directly with your mobile phone🤭
Chinen Peninsula is actually a pretty small city. If you like it, you can spend most of the day there✨
First, go to Saijo Prison to see the cultural heritage of the world.
Then go to Chichinen Cape Park
You can also take a cliff swing along the way and enjoy the sea view.
From Naha Bus Terminal, take the Toyo Bus No. 338 "Osho Ontake Line" (approx.
60 minutes), just get off at the Naba Ontake entrance.
#Great Places in September 2024
Okinawa Chinen Cape Park is a paradise for photography
I saw some beautiful photos of this place online and decided to visit. When I arrived, I was amazed by its beauty.
Although the park is not very large, the endless view of the Pacific Ocean is truly breathtaking. Okinawa has many coral reefs, so the sea has varying shades of blue, creating a multi-layered effect.
I recommend that girls wear dresses for photos—the flowing effect looks stunning in pictures.
Okinawa Saiba Ondake
"Ontake" refers to the traditional sacred area of the Ryukyu Islands. Saiba Ontake, located on the southern coast of Okinawa main island, is the most sacred place among the Ontake. This is the place where the King of Ryukyu and the King of Muntoku, who were members of the royal family, visited and worshiped. Saiba Ondake is hidden in the lush green forest. If tourists have the opportunity to visit the holy land, it will definitely be an opportunity for you to deeply understand the unique culture of Okinawa. Feel the purification and baptism brought by the forest.

[Hotel Test Sleeper in August] The stalactite cave is so spectacular, you can park your car at any time
# SIGN UP AUGUST HOTEL SLEEPERS #100 Ways to Travel
Well worth going! The stalactite cave is super spectacular. It's very dark inside but there are lights in some places. It's very humid inside and the stalactites on your head will keep dripping. Hahaha, it's a wonderful experience. I think the rest is just fine, but I still haven't finished the visit. There are still many things in the park. There are performances and some experience activities, such as indigo dyeing and pearl digging experiences, which are very interesting and you can try them!
Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the spot!
The parking lot is large and you can park anywhere you like
The scenery of the small islands in Japan is amazing!!!
Miyazaki's summer is indeed a truly beautiful and niche destination
So niche that there were almost no cars to return to the city
Chinen Cape is absolutely stunning, I didn't have high expectations but it really amazed me!!!
It's much more beautiful than Manzamo!!!
You can also see the glass sea at Chinen Cape!!
Yuquan Cave—Wangguo Village
Although this attraction is not very convenient in terms of transportation, the displays, performances, and explanations inside are all excellent. The stalactites in Yuquan Cave are quite Zen-like, and the route planning is also excellent. However, it is dark in the cave, so be careful with the stairs.
Beautiful stalactite cave
This time I came to the Okinawa Cultural Kingdom. The considerable length of the Yuquan Cave extends to the entire park. It is a place to escape the heat in the summer. If you come in winter, you may need to add a coat. Along the way, I just sighed that nature is really magical. Add a little Small lights can turn into two different colors based on the reflection of light (such as the fourth picture, which only emits blue lights). The nature in the stalactite cave will make people feel that this is completely different from the mountain scenery and The sea view is relatively good. Maybe in the future, I don’t know how long, these stalactites will merge into one. This place is really worth a visit, otherwise you will leave regrets #Okinawa Culture Kingdom #yuquandong #stalactite cave # a good place in spring and summer
Obu Island is full of cats!
The biggest reason for coming to Obu Island in Okinawa this time is of course to see the cats🐱
Obushima Island is small, but really every place on the island has a kitten's stored, and kittens are very close, see a 3-4 year old baby to touch the kitten, the kitten is very obedient and pampered baby Turn around, so cute 🥰
I saw many people have brought strips and snacks to feed the cat, unfortunately we forgot to bring that day, but the cat will not ignore people 😹 bring food is even better
Overall, highly recommended to go! You can bring some souvenirs to the cat😹

Must-eat Chinese fresh fish tempura on Owu Island🍤
Come to Obu Island not only to see cats, but also to feed your stomach 😋 This time try this Nakamoto fresh fish tempura shop, once you enter Obu Island you see the sign and queue
There are long queues from entering and leaving the island! It is also because of this that the tempura should be just fried, fresh and hot☺️ and there is a lot of variety, the queue time to choose what to eat is really just right😹
Recommend fried shrimp 🍤 must eat, the shrimp is very fresh and bouncy very big! There are also bamboo wheels, super large pieces and very cheap 🥹 The purple sweet potato cake in the picture is very tasty and sweet!
