Detailed Wuyi Mountain Guide for a Relaxing Journey Through Nature!
🔥The main scenic area of Wuyi Mountain is free of charge until April 30th this year, and all public buses in the Wuyi Mountain area are also free of charge. (At first, when you get on the bus without paying, it feels a bit awkward) However, on the scenic area's 'Princess' bus, there is a 1-3 day scenic bus pass available.
1⃣ Tianyou Peak, the classic main peak of Wuyi Mountain, can be summited in 40 minutes if you're physically fit. Standing at the top, you have a broad view, overlooking the entire Wuyi Mountain scenic area.
2⃣ Yunnvfeng (Jade Maiden Peak), cannot be climbed, but you can pass by on a bamboo raft.
3⃣ Dahongpao (Big Red Robe) Scenic Area, where you can admire the mother tree of Dahongpao tea, a paradise for tea enthusiasts.
4⃣ Shuilian Cave (Water Curtain Cave), experience the spectacular sight of the water curtain. If it's not a rainy day or season, the view may be quite ordinary, and the climb is quite tiring.
5⃣ One-Line-Sky, very narrow and damp, with an unpleasant smell, and Tiger Roaring Rock is just beyond it.
6⃣ Tiger Roaring Rock, more challenging than Tianyou Peak, with some steep sections.
7⃣ Jiuqu Stream, famous for its clear water and winding river, it is said that only by taking a bamboo raft can you fully appreciate the beauty of Wuyi Mountain's 'Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns'.
🚤Bamboo raft 130/person, about an hour and a half. If it's the peak season, book your tickets in advance, if there are no tickets online, you can book on-site at the dock. Try to take it in the morning when the temperature is not high, the sun is not strong, and there are more fish in the water. There are many vendors selling shoe covers at the dock, but they are not very useful (not needed at all). However, if you're interested, you can buy some fish food, and when you feed the fish, the water surface becomes as lively as a boiling pot~
📢Explanation: 20/person, whether this 'tip' is worth it depends on your luck. If you meet a good boatman, they will patiently explain the local customs, features along the way, and strange rock formations, and will stop at some viewing points to help everyone take photos; but it is said that some boatmen will make inappropriate jokes all the way, which is offensive; or if everyone on the boat refuses to pay, the boatman will quickly row to the end...
8⃣ At the end of the bamboo raft ride, you will pass through Song Street, which is actually a shopping street, with a Wuyi Mountain Museum in between where you can see hanging coffins. Continuing forward is Wuyi Palace, a few minutes' walk will take you to the entrance of Dawangfeng (Great King Peak) for climbing. Further on, there is the Guanyu Platform, Zhizhi An, and a very photogenic stone carving wall.
9⃣ Dawangfeng (Great King Peak), one of the iconic attractions of Wuyi Mountain, not recommended for those with insufficient physical strength.
1⃣0⃣ Zhizhi An. An ancient temple with a serene environment and tranquil atmosphere.
1⃣1⃣ Baiyun Zen Temple. If you go early, you can see the sunrise, and with good luck, you may also encounter a sea of clouds.
🏨Accommodation: Near 'Sangu Holiday Area' and 'Nanyuanling B&B Village', try to book in advance.
💡Tips:
☀️Check the weather forecast before you go, and be prepared with rain gear, as the weather can change rapidly.
👟The Wuyi Mountain scenic area is large, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
🍀Here, whether in restaurants or hotels, tea is sold, and if you pull someone who seems to be a local and ask which tea has the best value for money, they will definitely take you to their home to drink (buy) tea without hesitation!

Wuyi Mountain is very suitable for hiking!
Only after visiting Wuyi Mountain do you realize that it is different from other famous mountains and rivers. Wuyi Mountain is not tall, with the highest altitude being only seven to eight hundred meters, making it very easy to climb. The biggest selling point of Wuyi Mountain is not its steep paths but its elegance. There is a winding stream that flows from west to east through Wuyi Mountain, giving it a very spiritual aura! Hiking on the flat mountain paths of Wuyi Mountain, listening to the sound of the flowing springs, looking at the Danxia landform rocks, and being shaded by green trees all the way, it's not at all hot and is indeed very relaxing and comfortable!
