Orange NSW - the alt. wine region

This years annual #wildcats weekend winery getaway took us to country NSW. The town of Orange to be exact. As a regular in the Hunter Valley wine region I was interested to see how Orange would compare and let me say I was not disappointed. The sheer number of wineries in Orange is on par with the Hunter Valley and the quality was top notch. We elected to do an organised tour instead of driving ourselves and I can not recommend Thirsty Tours highly enough for their service on the day. We had tastings at 4 local cellar doors - Patina Winery, Mayfield Wines, Word of Mouth Organic Wines and Nashdale. Along with a wounded fuel grazing board lunch at Word of Mouth. The star of the tour was definitely our bus driver Jarred. The nicest bloke who made sure everyone in the group was enjoying themselves. #gooutside #foodie #wino #friends4life
