The city's nightscape possesses a calming magic. As the last sliver of the sun vanishes beyond the horizon, warm yellow streetlights flicker on one by one, bathing the entire street in a gentle, luminous glow. Night markets along the road begin to set up, with a few late-night commuters gathering around the steaming food stalls. The vendors expertly work their spatulas, and the mouthwatering aroma drifts far on the breeze, coaxing passersby to stop in their tracks. Strolling leisurely down the quiet streets, you'll occasionally be passed by cyclists heading home. The crisp ring of their bicycle bells mingles with soft music playing in the distance, composing a captivating nocturnal symphony. The distant water mirrors the lights along the shore, shimmering gently with the ripples and blending the brilliant illumination into a sparkling galaxy. Every so often, a tour boat glides by, parting the water and leaving a long, glowing wake. You can grab a seat at any roadside stall, order a few local delicacies, and strike up a conversation with the locals sitting nearby. They'll eagerly share tales of the city's past. There's no sense of coldness or alienation—only overwhelming warmth and hospitality. An evening like this makes you feel less like a fleeting traveler and more like a true part of this welcoming land.

Walking slowly towards the shore following the receding tide, seashells lay half-submerged in shallow puddles. Tiny ripples gently spread across their edges, creating soft, circular patterns. Warm, golden sunlight shone on the water, illuminating the iridescent hues on the inside of the shells. Suddenly, the ancient poem came to mind: "The sand recedes as the tide falls, round seashells are found, shining brightly in the sun." Leaning against the rough rocks, watching the slowly drifting clouds, I felt an indescribable sense of openness and tranquility. Barefoot in the cool, shallow water, the refreshing seawater gently flowed between my toes. The delicate edges of the seashells lightly brushed against my insteps, causing no discomfort but rather a novel sensation. The anxieties of daily life, born from the mundane, quietly dissipated with the gently flowing water. Wandering along, there were no crowds of tourists or artificial boardwalks. I simply strolled along with the receding tide, occasionally stopping to pick up a small seashell and examine it closely in the sunlight. The translucent shells refracted the light into iridescent fragments that fell into my palm, softening and relaxing my mind. There was no need for detailed travel plans or a rush to reach a destination. Just spending leisurely time with these little seashells on the beach revealed that the most pleasant travel experience never requires deliberate planning. This sense of tranquility, soothed by the seashells and the seawater, was the most precious surprise of this trip. Even the small seashell with its fine watermarks in my pocket became a gentle souvenir of this peaceful stroll along the shore. #NewYearDestinations2026
