Crocodile Island Tour - A Perfect Choice for an Adventure into the Hidden Realm
Crocodile Island is located in Shiding District, New Taipei City, and is famous for its spectacular 'crocodile' shaped island in the middle of a lake, attracting many photography and nature enthusiasts. From the Crocodile Island viewing platform, you can overlook the Feicui Reservoir and the surrounding scenery, especially enchanting during early morning or dusk. However, to fully appreciate the entirety of Crocodile Island, you need to walk down a small trail next to the platform for about 5 minutes. The path is relatively narrow and may be slippery, so it is recommended to wear non-slip shoes and be cautious.
In terms of transportation, it is recommended to drive or ride a motorcycle, but be aware that the Beiyi Highway is relatively narrow, with heavy traffic, and parking spaces near Crocodile Island are limited. If you choose to take public transportation, you can take a bus to 'Xiaogetou Station' and then walk for 30 minutes to reach the destination. The journey is relatively strenuous, so be mentally prepared.
Additionally, nearby attractions such as Thousand Island Lake and Tushitou Viewing Platform are also suitable for a one-day trip. However, since most roads are industrial roads, driving and walking require caution. It is recommended to bring enough water and light snacks to enjoy a journey into the natural hidden realm.

Thanks to my friend for bringing me here. The Kuan Ge series that I have admired for so long, I finally unlocked it today in Taipei ✌🏻
Whether it's pasta, pizza or desserts, every dish here is amazing. This time I specially ordered #Homemade Shrimp Pasta. The taste is really rich. Shrimp lovers must not miss it! In addition, I was also impressed by the #ItalianpizzaSandwich. The crust is kiln-baked and wrapped in a wonderful combination of caprese salad and raw ham. The crust is very chewy and tastes great. I'm not sure about the base of #ICEBREW bubble tea, but it's refreshing and thirst-quenching. Every bite makes you feel the care and deliciousness of the food. push push

Kaz Popcorn Tourist Factory
🏖️ Atmosphere/Facilities: Fun~ Family Entertainment~ Shopping~
📍 Address: No. 171, Guanhai Avenue, Bali District, New Taipei City
💞 Recommended Reasons:
If you just want to buy popcorn, you can enter for free.
If you want to experience DIY, you can buy tickets on-site or online.
Since each session has a limited number of participants,
if you don't want to wait, you can make a reservation one day in advance!
This place is more suitable for parents to bring their children~
Kids have a lot of fun here~
Of course, couples... sisters... can also come to experience it,
because there are cute DIY popcorn bracelets,
which can be a memorable keepsake for each other~
However, if the experience time could be extended a bit, it would be more comfortable~
The time in between feels a bit rushed...
Some kids who move slowly,
or make mistakes and need to redo the bracelet,
may end up with adults quickly helping to finish it,
which is a bit of a pity...
Other than that, everything else feels pretty good!

A clean beach! Watching the sunset, playing with sand, and enjoying the water are all great experiences here. It's also a perfect spot for a weekend getaway.
With the gentle sea breeze, sitting and watching the sunset is quite relaxing. There are stone and wooden benches under the trees where you can cool off, or you can bring a mat for a picnic under the trees.
The scenery is beautiful, making it a great place for the whole family to enjoy the water. Just avoid the time around noon as it can get really hot.
There are coin-operated showers available for 10 NTD per use, where you can rinse off the sand from your body and feet.

In hot weather, be sure to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated. It is recommended to wear sunglasses, apply sunscreen, wear a light jacket, or a hat with a strap for shade. Sometimes, due to weather conditions (typhoons) or safety considerations such as strong winds and high waves, the park may be closed or only partially open. It takes about 2-3 hours to explore the entire park at a leisurely pace.

It's not as crowded as popular tourist spots, making for a leisurely visit. There's a faucet at the entrance for washing your feet, but you might have to queue if there are many people. The nearest restroom is at the convenience store nearby.
Travelogue of Yehliu Geopark
Visiting the outskirts of Taipei, how can you miss the natural wonder of Yehliu Geopark? Located in Wanli District, north of Taipei, this famous coastal area attracts countless tourists with its bizarre rock formations and spectacular coastline. I arrived at Yehliu on a breezy morning, and the unique geological landscape before my eyes seemed to transport me to another world.
Upon entering the park, the most striking feature is the various uniquely shaped rocks. After thousands of years of erosion by waves, weathering, and tectonic movements, these rocks have been sculpted into numerous strange shapes. Walking along the trail, the most famous 'Queen's Head' immediately catches everyone's attention. This natural rock formation, resembling the elegant profile of a queen's head, is delicate and vivid, making it a must-photograph spot for visitors. However, due to increasing weathering, the Queen's Head has become more fragile, and protective measures have been put in place in the park. Visitors are encouraged to appreciate this natural wonder while also cherishing it.
In addition, the park features other uniquely shaped rocks such as the 'Fairy Shoe,' 'Tofu Rock,' and 'Candle Rock,' showcasing nature's boundless creativity. Each rock has its own unique characteristics, like natural artworks with stories to tell. Walking along the trail, with the sea breeze and the sound of waves in the background, one feels incredibly relaxed. Especially near the 'Sea Erosion Platform,' visitors can get a closer look at the power of sea erosion. The tidal changes here are significant, and when the tide recedes, you can see a rich ecosystem, including small crabs and starfish, adding to the fun of exploration.
This trip to Yehliu made me deeply appreciate the greatness of nature. Every scene in Yehliu Geopark, whether it's the uniquely shaped rocks or the magnificent coastline, is awe-inspiring. This magical land is not only a paradise for geology enthusiasts but also an ideal place for families to relax and connect with nature. If you come to Taipei, don't miss this feast of nature!

Lost in Jiu Fen
Jiu Fen old street used to be known as the spirited away animation. Many say that Ah Mei tea house looks like the bath house in that animation and many claimed it was inspired by Jiu Fen old street. However Miyazaki (the author) debunkers the rumours. It has a lot of ‘No Face’ character in most of the souvenirs shop. However this time I saw very little of it. Nevertheless, it still worth to visit, it still giving ghibi vibes. The nearby mountains also very nice place to hike for the sunset. Definitely will come again to explore more 🤩

The wine-steamed abalone: steamed with rice wine, highlighting the abalone's sweetness and tender texture. Other seafood dishes are also seasonal, leaving a lasting impression. 😋😋😋

I visited Jiufen in Taiwan, and it was truly a unique and beautiful place. It felt like stepping into a scene from a movie. The narrow alleys and stairs lit by red lanterns were especially charming. There were many tea houses where I enjoyed a traditional cup of tea while taking in the scenery. Exploring the small shops in the alleys was quite fun, and I got to taste some local foods as well.
