With views over Tolcarne beach and the Atlantic the Beresford hotel in Newquay is ideally situated close to town with a Wetherspoons just a five minute walk away (we wanted a breakfast ) …..😂 For a twin room this hotel was affordable and clean ideal for me and my friend visiting Newquay for a few days ….. would recommend 👍

There aren’t many beaches you can barefooted in the UK. Most of them are stony and pebbly beaches that are quite uncomfortable. But this beach on Cornwall at Newquay Harbour is one of the exceptions. Just like the rest of Cornwall, white quant houses are scattered around the countryside. and the wild green lawn come super close to the shore. There is a place where the water gives way to the sand and you can walk over it at low tide. This being the West Country it tends to not be as gloomy and we managed to get a good amount of blue skies. All in all if you decided to travel to Cornwall definitely check out this beach and bring some windbreakers as it gets a little windy 🙂 #christmasgiveaway #beaches

📍Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall, England I went surfing in a town called Newquay in Cornwall, England, and I had kangaroo steak for the first time at a restaurant I went to with a friend! The taste was.. um, beef-like, but tough and strong beef?🤔 It was a new experience, so I wanted to try it at least once..ㅎㅎ Newquay is a small and cute town in front of the beach, and on days when the waves are good, the locals who run stores put up “out surfing” signs and close their stores to go to the beach! Walking along one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, Bedruthan Steps. This beach is completely covered in high tide so it’s a tricky to get to for sunset.

So if you've ever been to the Gannel, between Fistral and Crantock, you'll know that when the tide is out you can walk along quite happily....but beware, when the tide comes in it is a different story and on a bad day even the high tide bridge will be slightly flooded. So enjoy but beware of the tides.

Stayed here for three days last week, taking advantage of the 3 nights for the price of 2 deal. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a poolside suite with a hot tub and direct pool access. The room had a Miami-inspired design, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed and the best hotel shower I’ve ever experienced. Breakfast was a pay-as-you-go style, which worked perfectly for us, with an option for a continental buffet as well. The staff were phenomenal—friendly, cheerful, and always smiling. On our first evening, we dined at The Old Harry Rocks, which extended the Miami vibe with delicious cocktails and outstanding food. It was so good, we nearly canceled our other reservations just to eat there again! The location was ideal, close to shops and perched on the cliff front overlooking the beach. I can’t recommend The NICI Bournemouth enough and am excited to return, as well as visit their two new hotels in the New Forest and Newquay.

When visiting the South West you will experience beautiful sunsets, delicious foods and exciting surf. Head towards Newquay for street food on the beach at the harbour, Fistral beach for a surf or if you would rather just watch, Boardmasters will be there 5-9th August. Look in the rockpools where you may find a crab, a fish or even a starfish. Stay up until the sun goes down for a beautiful display if God's beautiful creation.

On Friday we headed to the Fort Inn Newquay. The food was great. As you can see from the photos there were wonderful views. We can see the boats coming to the harbour (although the tide was out when we were there so they could not come in until a little later.) You can see across the bays watching the surfers, body boarders and people having fun. On a dry day you can sit outside. If the weather is not so great you can sit inside. Staff are lovely too.

Lovely little experience on the lake by Trenanace Gardens, Newquay. Cost: £15 for any boat Duration: approx 30 mins Surrounded by beautiful greenery, a fountain, ducks and resident swans. There are 2 types of pedal boats, sitting 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults on the larger Swan boats. We hired the electric boat, it was fun, easy to handle and a relaxing and romantic experience but also suitable for families. #couplestrip #travel2026 #thingstodo #newquay

Absolute gem of a find. Great location with beach literally on doorstep, beautiful seaviews, bus stop outside hotel with regular buses, perfect base for travel without a car, including getting to and from airport. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I booked my hubby a massage not realising non residents wouldnt have access to rooms but the lady in reception cleared the conference room for us to use so that my hubby didnt miss out, which was very kind and left a great impression on the extent of hospitality of the staff. We had breakfast at the hotel which was delicious and again staff were so helpful. They catered to our dietary requirements without a fuss and a smile on their face.
