2025 Nicosia Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in February)

I never know that in Cyprus, there is actually divided into 2 parts: Turkish speaking part and the Greek speaking part. Some travelling tips: 1) Do remember to bring your passport along if you are crossing the border, it is just like going into another country 2) In Lefkosa, besides turkish lira, euros and credit cards are accepted I think (tried using credit card in a coffee shop and a supermarket and everything works out) 3) Things are really cheap in Turkish part whether you are talking about cigarettes or groceries, so remember to bring your shopping bag. 4) if you dont have a car or anything and want to take a quick look in Lefkosa, go to nicosia and cross the border from there.

Nicosia - The last divided capital in the world! The capital of Cyprus have been divided since the 70s when 1/3 of the island was occupied by the turks. Now even divided People live in harmony or maybe this is how I saw the things. At the middle of the pedestrian streets there are border check points and also no-mans-land ruled by the United Nations. #happynewyear

All our time is limited but there is always that moment which shows you that you have to enjoy every second eith your family doesnt matter if at home, on travels or simply in a City which is stunning and beautiful and you can even find the best food in town for an affordable price which is very rare nowadays

Christmas in Nicosia is the most beautiful time, tasty food friendly peole and all with nice lights. In the center of Nicosia is always some adventure waiting and the nightlife is beautiful if as couple or family its simply relaxing and here and there you can find the beautiful small treasures like the Christmas Cities or simply rendeers and snowmen like we found here ehich was fascinating for our son#travel #familytravel

🌞Today I want to share with you my day in Nicosia, Cyprus! 🎉🎉 🌈First stop, we went to the museum in Nicosia! 👀I saw a lot of interesting exhibits that gave me a sense of the history and culture of Cyprus. 🌳Historical records, artifacts, and some very old maps! 🌏It was quite interesting, and I felt like I was having a conversation with history! ✨ 💖After that, we went to St. John's Cathedral! ⛪It was so beautiful, and I was deeply attracted by its magnificence and solemnity. 😍Its architectural style and interior decoration were stunning. The use of lighting and mirrors gave a sacred and mysterious feeling. 💖 🍎For lunch, we went to a local restaurant and tried some delicious local dishes. 🍲There were also some local snacks, and they were amazing! 😍😍 🌈In the afternoon, we went to St. Sophia Cathedral! ⛪The unique architectural style of this cathedral left a deep impression on me. I sat quietly in the church for a while and felt its solemnity and tranquility. ✨ 💕That's it for today's journey. I had a very fulfilling and interesting day in Nicosia, Cyprus.
