This road section is famous for its steep terrain, proximity to sheer cliffs, and rough road conditions. The secret spot is near the western route, along the coastal road near popular attractions like Kelingking Beach (T-Rex Cliff), Broken Beach, and Angel's Billabong. The hidden gem is close to Kelingking Beach, accessible via the western route, but the road conditions are not great, so allow extra time. When planning with your driver, you can mention that you want to stop here to take photos of the cliff road. When we arrived at this secret spot, it was just the driver and us—no one else! The accommodation served us food at that time. 📍Diamond Beach 🏝️ is very beautiful. There are stairs down to take beautiful pictures. Below is a white beach, but the waves are very strong. It was almost out of breath when we got to the bottom. 😂 And we had to climb down on the rocks. It's so tough. The beauty comes with toughness. 🔥 A must-do activity is to ride the swing. The rice below is a cliff and deep sea water. 📍Keling King Beach is called the Dinosaur Viewpoint. There are two places to take pictures: the way down to the bottom and the viewpoint where we took pictures. But going down is so far that we can't do it 😂 because we woke up early and were exhausted. 📍Yuda homestay 🏠 It's a home-like accommodation. The guide who took us on the tour is the owner. So she included the price with the car rental fee to take us around. ☀️ We went back to the boat at the pier around noon. ⚠️ Driving on the island is not recommended. Most of the roads are cliffs. Going up and down the hills is very scary. At first, we didn't plan to hire a driver but we really couldn't handle the road. 🥺 🍲 We didn't review the food because nothing was to our liking. Normally, we eat very easily, but the food was really not delicious. We mostly ordered fried rice. Oh my, it was so sad. We tried eating local food and they used their hands to pick it up. We wanted to cry. 😂 ‼️ The guide took very good care of us. For 2 nights and 3 days, they really took care of us. The price was very cheap, but they still took good care of us. They took pictures for us, arranged poses for photos, carried our stuff, and found us a place to stay. We will definitely go back again. Wake up at 5:30am and go on a one-day tour to the west side of Nusa Penida. After a whole day of rushing around, being exposed to the sun, clocking in and taking photos on the assembly line, I really feel that such beautiful scenery should be enjoyed slowly while drinking coffee/afternoon tea/sunbathing/eating/soaking in a hotel, instead of only being able to see each attraction for one or two seconds and the tour guide asking "are you done?" right after taking the photo. Then most of the time during the whole trip is spent on a motorcycle/boat/minivan. The scenery is indeed beautiful, but I still cancelled all the similar day trips afterwards. If you have time and conditions, it is recommended to stay on the island for one or two days and play slowly.
