I went to Ninigi, a cafe in the countryside of Oga, Akita Prefecture! I finally went to the restaurant I'd been wanting to visit for a while and enjoyed a seafood donburi lunch. It was incredibly generous with ingredients: large, thick-cut fatty tuna, botan shrimp, monkfish liver, squid, red tuna, egg, tuna puree with green onions, and mentaiko (pollock roe). The tea was genmaicha (brown rice tea). The accompanying pickled radish and kelp were also delicious. It was truly an impeccable lunch. I'll definitely come back next time I renew my driver's license. The location is in the Minamisuna residential area. This seems to be an izakaya (Japanese pub) serving local Akita cuisine, and the evening menu looked delicious too.
