[Fukuoka Cafe] Hearty yet healthy chicken nanban🥢
"Chicken Nanban Creta, a delight for the body and soul"
I drove to Omuta in search of my favorite chicken nanban🚗
🥢Koji chicken nanban set meal
Large 400g, medium 250g, small 150g
Recommended for women is 150g
But I got the medium 250g lol
I didn't order rice (free large portion)
Comes with miso soup, fries, a small side dish, and pickles
It's pretty thick and big! And it's soft and delicious
The reason why it makes your body and mind happy is
Chicken breast meat from Miyazaki Prefecture is marinated and aged for 24 hours with specially aged salt koji, rice vinegar, eggs, etc.
The batter is very thin and fried in a molecular cooker, so the oil absorption of the ingredients is reduced by 50%
Nanban sauce made with natural fermented soy sauce, black vinegar, and cane sugar
Mayonnaise made with free-range fertilized eggs, rice oil, and rice vinegar
Homemade tartar sauce made with it
Your body, mind, and stomach will be delighted
🥢Pork Myoga-zuke set meal 5 pieces
Pork loin marinated for 3 days in a combination of pesticide-free Ueuchi mandarins and naturally fermented miso
When you eat it, you can smell the faint scent of mandarins
The miso is roasted to a fragrant finish, making it perfect for eating with rice
Many customers ordered the yakitori
I'm also very curious about the other set meals
There was a constant stream of customers
It's worth going far!
Thank you for the meal (⋆ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)”

Visited 'cafe nei' in Omuta City 🌳
This cafe, surrounded by trees, feels like a different world altogether, offering a breathtaking atmosphere 😮💨
The interior was also a lovely space ✨
(Note: Photos of the interior are not allowed 🙅♀️📷)
From the large windows inside, you can see the rice fields outside, providing a soothing view of greenery 😊
︎︎︎︎☑︎ Onion Potage and Bread: 1,000 yen
︎︎︎︎☑︎ Cafe au Lait: 650 yen
The potage was shockingly delicious 😳💥
The onion's rich flavor was condensed into a gentle taste 🧅 ̖́-
The onions on top were also tender and absolutely delightful 🤤
This time, I visited for breakfast❣️
It's great that they open early in the morning (*ˊᵕˋ*)੭

Picture Book Museum in Omuta City
Omuta City Zoo
Admission fee: ¥500 for adults/free for preschoolers
Parking is cheap at ¥200 a day!
There's also a bus stop 🚌
The picture book museum was right in the middle of the zoo!
There was a cute solo exhibition by Nana Furuya 🦊
The lion feeding time at the zoo was impressive 🦁
There were lots of guinea pigs, and we even got to touch them!
You could get up close to the squirrel monkeys, sloths, and capybaras without any barriers!
The squirrel monkeys were hunting for bugs, catching them, and eating them (lol)
They were so cute!!
A zoo you'll want to visit regularly 🐒 #Fukuoka #Tourism #0YenTravel2025Autumn

A soulful summer experience at the "Daijayama Festival" in Omuta, Fukuoka 🔥
Speaking of summer in Omuta, the first thing that comes to mind is the "Daijayama" (giant snake float)! The sight of these gigantic giant snake floats, measuring approximately 10m in length, 5m in height, and weighing up to 3 tons, parading through the city while spewing smoke and fire, is truly a spectacular sight!
The rumbling rhythm of the drums and the chants of "Yoi-sa! Yoiya-sa!" create a whirlwind of excitement in the venue!
This traditional event, which dates back to the Edo period and continues for over 300 years, is a unique festival that combines water god worship and Gion faith.
A quick note: 📝
This year, the festival was partially suspended due to a gas leak on the second day.
📌 Basic Information Summary
Date: The fourth Saturday and Sunday of July every year (July 26th and 27th in 2025)
Venue: Taishomachi Street (Taishomachi Festival Square), Omuta City Center
Access: Approximately 5 minutes' walk from JR and Nishitetsu Omuta Station

Jorinji Hydrangea Temple
Jorinji Temple in Imayama, Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture
Every year during this rainy season, the Hydrangea Festival is held.
It has a set period, so it's best to check before you go!
There are many blue and purple hydrangeas, and the mountain hydrangeas seen from the garden are very beautiful.
Even when the hydrangeas are not in bloom, the garden is very well maintained.
There is a free parking lot nearby, so don't worry.
There are also spots to see Garyuuume plum blossoms in the area, so I recommend going there to enjoy Haru😊

Miike Port, the miraculous sunset spectacle of the 'Path of Light'
Miike Port, where the sunset is incredibly beautiful, was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 2015. This 'miraculous spectacle' can only be seen during two periods each year, in January and November.
The 'Path of Light' stretches from the end of the Miike Port route, through the lock gate, and finally reaches the Miike Port Observatory, almost forming a straight line. When the sunset direction is from 0 degrees north latitude to 247 degrees east, the sunset extends straight through the center of the lock gate like a hummingbird's beak, creating a magnificent 'Path of Light'. This phenomenon lasts for about a week. The Miike Port Observatory is not only a popular dating spot for watching beautiful sunsets but also a popular location for photographing the sunset and the surrounding factory clusters.

Taiyoken: The long-standing Japanese food culture and the amazing steak dishes
Located on a quiet residential street, Taiyo Ken is by far the most unforgettable Japanese Western cuisine experience I've ever had. This seemingly modest and unassuming old Western-style diner actually harbors a deep cultural heritage of Japanese Western cuisine, offering us not only an ultimate taste experience but also an insight into the origins of this unique culinary culture.
The wooden floors, tatami seating, and decorations of fishing nets and anchors all around exude the warmth of a deep-sea fisherman's home. We took our seats behind the half-open sliding doors, facing a large plate of exquisitely shaped but meaningful appetizers, which clearly marked the beginning of this Western food journey.
The most breathtaking part is the restaurant's signature top-notch steak dishes. At first glance, the portion of the main course is not overwhelming, but the tender, juicy beef that bursts with a fresh and sweet aroma upon tasting instantly enlightens the diner, revealing what truly first-class steak flavor is all about! It turns out that this dish is Taiyo Ken's proud old signature, a creative dish that the owner has adapted from Europe and refined over the years to develop a unique flavor.

A retro, long-established coffee shop☕️
It feels like time flows slowly, unlike usual

Omuta City Zoo🦁
I went to Omuta City Zoo ^_^
It's a fun place for little kids, but I wouldn't recommend it for the elderly or people with bad legs❗️Because there are steep uphill and downhill slopes, even in a wheelchair it requires a lot of physical strength❗️
