I made a brief stop and specifically went to visit the nearest ancient town to the city - Zhouzi, also known as Zhoukou Town or Zhukou, which faces the ancient city of Xiangru across the river. Flourishing during the Tang and Song dynasties, it has accumulated a millennium of history, nurturing a unique and profound dockside ancient town culture, with a large number of residents still living there.
I always have an inexplicable interest in ancient towns, probably because they are where you can best feel the local life and the sense of long history brought by traditional architecture, allowing for an immersive experience of the people's way of life at that time...
The ancient town is quite small, with shops lining both sides of the main street. Once you finish walking down the main street, there's not much else. It's not very crowded on weekends, and it doesn't seem necessary to make a special trip, but it's still nice to stop by if you're passing through, especially since the air is good by the mountain and water. The round-trip boat ticket is 10 yuan.

Zhouzi Ancient Town was established during the Tang and Song Dynasties. It is one of the top ten ancient towns in Sichuan and is known as the last wharf ancient town on the Jialing River. It was named Zhouzi Ancient Town because Zhou Dunyi, a scholar of the Song Dynasty who wrote 'On the Love of the Lotus', lectured here for a few days. Wu Daozi, a painter of the Tang Dynasty, also passed by here when he was commissioned to paint the Jialing River for three hundred miles. In fact, these two people have nothing to do with Peng'an, which only shows Peng'an's eagerness to develop eco-tourism. Of course, Zhouzi Ancient Town itself is also good, with Longjiao Mountain behind it, and the view of the Jialing River is beautiful.

It's about watching a large group of cows cross the Jialing River to the two river islands, Sun Island and Moon Island, to graze. You can see this from May to October every year, which is quite spectacular. If the season is right, you can go and see.

Located in Jinping Town on the opposite bank of the Jialing River in the county, this is actually the former residence of Sima Xiangru, the location of the ancient Xiangru County. However, Xiangru Ancient City is a newly built ancient town in imitation of the ancient style. It should also be built for the pursuit of eco-tourism. This can explain why there is a pure ancient town of Zhouzi and another imitation ancient town. However, the ancient town is well built and the ecological environment is also good. There is also a Xiangru Wetland Park next to the ancient town, which should be worthy of a 3A rating.
4: Dashen Nanhai Scenic Area, 2A scenic spot, free, recommendation index: 2 stars, suggested play: 1 hour
It's just a reservoir, the scenery is average, foreign tourists just don't go.
