Akaka Falls State Park Big island in Hawaii is a breathtaking place, the scenery is stunning and you get an overwhelming sense of how powerful nature is. The Akaka falls state park is an amazing opporunity to see the scale and size of the water that flows through big Island, with huge waterfalls, rivers and rapids. You are able to walk to a really tall waterfall and bask in it’s glory, you can stand very close and cover yourself in the spray to cool down from the Hawaiian heat. Then you can follow the flow of the water down the river, through the rapids and out into the ocean. Along the way you are surrounded by lush greenery and all the nature that it contains, you will see plenty of beautiful flowers, fascinating animals and a lot of fresh fruit!
