Unfortunately, Uluru can no longer be climbed due to too many accidents, so we decided to join the Kings Canyon English tour group. Climbing the Valley of the Kings is not easy either. Starting at four in the morning, each person has to carry 2 liters of drinking water up the valley, and has to climb 500 stairs in the desert under the scorching sun before starting the official 4-hour hike. According to the language of the local Aboriginal people, Kata Tjuta means many heads. In fact, Kata Tjuta is indeed composed of 36 uniquely shaped dome-shaped boulders. The boulders vary in shape and size. Most of them appear brown-red when viewed from a close distance. However, they show different colors under the sunlight, especially at sunset, when the afterglow is reflected in the valley, which is very beautiful. According to local people, tens of millions of years ago, these 36 hills were originally combined into one giant mountain, which was even several times larger than Uluru today. Later, due to crustal movement, the giant mountain gradually split into the current 36 hills. Even so, the tallest hill is still 200 meters higher than Uluru, which shows how huge the mountain was back then. Kata Tjuta is located about 30 kilometers west of Uluru. It is planned together with Uluru to form Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. They are the two main landmarks of the park. We spent only three days in Yulara NT, Australia. it was very hot and dry there as it was in Summer time. However, it was one of our memorable adventures! Uluru Segway tour was one of our lists. It took us about two hours to get around this amazing big rock on Segway. The guide tours were very friendly and professional. They picked us up from the hotel at 5:30 am and also provided us lovely breakfast. the tour finished around 2:30 pm. we had so much fun riding the camel for the first time! it’s like hopping on the train because each camel will be connected to each other! Each camels has its own personality, which some can be very naughty! Its totally safe and enjoyable. one thing was that my bum was so sore after almost 2 hours ride 😂. Snack and drinks also included in this trip! 📅 Travel Itinerary Day 1: Japan → Sydney! I slept so soundly on the plane 😴 Day 2: Dinner at the Grounds of the City. The chiffon cake was sold out, but the tiramisu I had instead was delicious! Checked the time on QVB and strolled to the Opera House! The Harbour Bridge was also beautiful! 🌉 Eating Aussie beef at night and strolling around the harbour, it was a truly satisfying day 😌 My friend's guide was amazing 🫶 Day 3: Departed for Uluru. Sounds of Silence was a sunset, stargazing, and dinner tour 🌆 The sunset while sipping champagne was just blissful 🥂 For dinner, we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring salads, meats like kangaroo and lamb, and desserts including cake 🍖🥗 As it got dark, we turned off all the lights and it was pitch black. Time for stargazing. They taught us about the Milky Way and the Southern Cross, and it was like a starry sky I'd never seen before! 🌌 Flashlights were prohibited, so it was a shame we couldn't take photos of the food or anything else. 😢 From the PR video, I thought we'd have to wear shirts or something, but everyone was just casually dressed in T-shirts and it was fine. ☺︎ Day 4: We took a camel sunset tour. 🐪🌄 We saw Uluru and Kata Tjuta, and afterward they gave us bread and coffee! The bread was hard and traditional? ? There were signs like 🐐 and baby 🐪 all around, so it felt like a zoo. Back at the lodging, we prepared to explore Uluru! We only had about three hours, but we walked faster than the guidebook suggested, so we walked three courses, which was longer than expected, and got a good look at the cultural center! It was so much fun seeing new things like rock paintings, plants, and nests. For dinner, we had a BBQ at the Outback Hotel! 🍖 We had emu, camel, and kangaroo sausages, as well as buffalo meat! It felt strange. Day 5: After breakfast, I had a buffet and walked to a nearby observation deck for my final look at Uluru. 🥲 It was amazing. There was a shuttle bus two hours before my flight, and I took it to the airport. There was a souvenir shop and a small cafe, and the history of Uluru was posted on the wall. 🇦🇺 I returned to Sydney, and since I had about two hours until my next flight, I took the train to a nearby supermarket! I used cash, bought some souvenirs, and returned to the airport. After security, I continued shopping for souvenirs. Day 6: Arrived in Japan early in the morning. Time flew by! During the day, the rock appears red, but as evening approaches, it shifts from orange to a deep red.
