Phichit Du Kraithong fights with Chalawan.
🐊 Phichit: The city of Chalawan, not just crocodiles, but charming in every nook and cranny!
If Phichit were a person, he'd be the hilarious guy in a tiger-print tank top, holding a paddle, and saying, "Want to race a boat?" 🛶
🎯 Must-See Highlights
Bueng Si Fai: A check-in spot with a giant Chalawan statue, perfect for a photo with the caption "Crocodiles have a cool side too."
Wat Pho Prathap Chang: The birthplace of King Suea (not the tiger), but the king of Ayutthaya!
Traditional Long Boat Race: This event isn't just about rowing fast, but also about cheering like a concert.
Wat Khwang & Crocodile Temple: A truly unseen experience, with a replica crocodile in the temple for you to admire without fear of being bitten.
Tha Khoi Market: Delicious Tha Khoi som tam, the fragrant rice is so fragrant you'll want to take it home.
🍜 Must-Try Foods
Phichit's Khao Chao: Fragrant, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, you'll want to just sit and eat.
Tha Khoi som tam: A perfect balance of sweet and sour. Eat and wake up like you've been woken up by the sound of boat races.
Local Desserts: We have Khanom Piak Pun, Khanom Tom, and Khanom Kluai—a complete set for those who love sweets.

Wat Mahathat, Phichit Province, amidst the forest
Wat Mahathat Phichit is located in the Phichit Old City Park.
Inside is a lush park with green forests and many kinds of birds.
In addition, there is Wat Mahathat inside, which I have never seen before visiting Phichit Province.
Wat Mahathat has an old bell-shaped pagoda and still has the base of the church to see. Nearby is Chalawan Cave.
For those who have never been here, I recommend that you stop by on the same route as you go to Bueng Si Fai.

A new landmark for Phichit people | Bueng Si Fai Public Park
Bueng Si Fai Public Park, Phichit Province, is a Korean park with trees as a popular check-in point that photographers must visit. The park is wide and offers a full view of the sky. It is suitable for relaxing and playing by the water with your family. The atmosphere is very nice.
However, when I went, it was already evening, so I didn't take many pictures.
Currently, they are improving the walking path and exercise area.
I will definitely use it next time because the atmosphere is very good.
Those who like to exercise should be delighted.
There is a parking area and a food selling area.
There are restrooms for tourists who come to visit.

Black Ground Cafe & Dining Phichit A cafe with a very beautiful design, both inside and outside. Good atmosphere, complete food, drinks and desserts. Drinks are served with a good appearance. There are a lot of people at noon. If you come to eat, it is recommended to book a table in advance. As for parking, it is a bit limited. It is also near a traffic light and a U-turn point. It is a bit difficult to find parking. There are both domestic and foreign beans and specialty coffees to choose from. #cafe #cafe review #point out delicious restaurants #secret location #life addicted to cafes #go to chic cafes

Wat Tha Luang, Phichit Province
Wat Tha Luang is another temple in Phichit Province, located on the west bank of the Nan River in Tambon Nai Mueang, Amphoe Mueang Phichit. This temple was built around 1845 during the reign of King Nangklao. It is very old, more than a hundred years old. It is also home to Luang Pho Phet, a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, Chiang Saen style, which is more than 800 years old.
In addition, Wat Tha Luang also has an important tradition, which is the traditional long-boat race. In the past, it was held in early September on the 6th waning day of the 10th lunar month and was held for only one day. However, later, the event was extended to include more days. Importantly, it also received a royal trophy. It can be said that it is a major event of Phichit Province. #Luang Pho Phet

Tha Luang Temple
It is an important temple of Phichit Province, located on the west bank of the Nan River, on Busaba Road, near the old provincial hall. This temple was built around 1845 during the reign of King Nangklao. It is an ancient temple of Phichit Province, over a hundred years old. It is the place where Luang Pho Phet, a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, Chiang Saen style, which is over 800 years old, is enshrined. It is cast from bronze and has indescribable beauty. The Buddha statue is 1.40 meters wide and 1.60 meters high. According to history, Phra Phichit, the governor of the city, wanted to enshrine the principal Buddha statue in Phichit. When the Ayutthaya army passed through the city to suppress the Chom Thong rebellion in Chiang Mai, Phra Phichit asked the commander that if the rebellion was suppressed, he should bring a Buddha statue to bring back. When the battle was over, the commander invited the Luang Pho Phet Buddha statue to be floated down the Ping River on a gourd-shaped raft and left it with the governor of Kamphaeng Phet. Then, Luang Pho Phet was invited to be enshrined at the Ubosot of Wat Nakhon Chum first, before being moved to be enshrined at the Ubosot of Wat Tha Luang, Mueang District, Phichit, until today. The Ubosot is open for the public to pay homage to Luang Pho Phet every day. #BeautifulTemplesAroundThailand #ThaiTemples #Worship #PrayForBlessings #Phichit #VisitPhichit

Statue of Phraya Chalawan
According to the legend of Kraithong, there was a large crocodile named Phraya Chalawan who once went on a rampage and ate people. In the end, Kraithong defeated him. The statue is located in front of Bueng Si Fai. It is a small building with a length of 38 meters, a width of 6 meters, and a height of 5 meters. Inside the crocodile, there is a conference room with a capacity for 25-30 seats. It is also the largest crocodile statue in the world.

☕สเตเดี้ยม ค๊อฟฟี่ (Stadium coffee)
☕☕Stadium Coffee ☕☕
A small coffee shop in the heart of Phichit.
Both the exterior and interior are Thai-style houses decorated in a Thai style, giving it an old-fashioned atmosphere.
Most people know it as
"Phichit Stadium". The building and decorations are in an old-fashioned style, making it popular with middle-aged people who come to sit in groups and chat about their daily lives and enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere. Even working-age people bring their iPads and laptops to work.
👍 Most importantly, there is free Wi-Fi.👍
In addition to the Thai-style decorations,
the interior has soft yellow lighting that is easy on the eyes and soft music that makes you feel relaxed. In addition to sitting and sipping coffee, chatting, and working, it is also another place that is suitable for relaxing on your day off.💯❤
📍The shop is located in the central stadium.
At the King Sua Monument roundabout
🕖 The shop is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Amazon is lush and green here in Phichit.
A relaxing cafe. Take a quick break before continuing. Stop by this beautiful Amazon. I took some photos to share with you all. The atmosphere is like a forest decorated with cute decorations and adorable parrots. The shop is airy and very comfortable. It's a long drive from the north down to Nakhon Sawan, about 48 kilometers. As far as I can remember, this is our go-to place every time we visit. If you're driving far and want to stop by a chill cafe, this gas station has Amazon. I recommend you give it a try. When you see the sign for 48 kilometers to Nakhon Sawan, turn left and you'll find it right there...

Khao Rup Chang Temple, Phichit
"Phichit City doesn't only have crocodiles, but also elephants."
"Wat Khao Rup Chang" is located in Dong Phakham Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phichit Province. It was built around 2244 - 2245 B.E. at the same time as Wat Pho Prathap Chang during the reign of Phra Si Sanphet VIII (King Suea or Khun Luang Sorasak) of Ayutthaya. The Samuha Nayok, who controlled the troops to build Wat Pho Prathap Chang according to the royal wish, found that the top of the mountain looked like an elephant. He thought that it was a suitable place to build a temple and a place to stay on high ground to inspect the terrain and ensure the safety of the troops. When the construction was complete, it was named "Wat Khao Rup Chang" according to the white stones stacked like an elephant kneeling on the mountaintop. The architecture of the church, the chapel, Buddha images, prang, pagoda, and kuti are all in the Ayutthaya period, similar to Wat Pho Prathap Chang.
Later, around 2300 B.E., a pagoda was built to enshrine the relics on the top of the elephant-shaped mountain. During the reign of King Rama III of Rattanakosin, Prince Mongkut (King Rama IV) while ordained as a monk, he went on a pilgrimage through Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Sawankhalok and Uttaradit. He stopped by Wat Khao Rup Chang to join the celebration of the temple (Luang Pho Sakorn temple) on January 22-26, 1833. It can be said that the King was the founder of Wat Khao Rup Chang. The tradition of “applying gold leaf to worship the Buddha and climbing the mountain on the full moon day of the 3rd month” has been ongoing since then until the present. It starts from the 12th waxing moon to the 1st waning moon of the 3rd month, for 5 days and 5 nights. For over a hundred years, Wat Khao Rup Chang has been developed and developed gradually, starting from the time of Phra Thet Phra Khun Phra Khru Phiphitthamkhun (Luang Pho Tiang) to the time of Phra Khru Wiwek Thammaphirom or Luang Pho Theum until the present. #NortheasternTeam #WaitingForTheDayToTravel #MissingNature

Tenehaya: A Hidden Ramen Gem in Phichit
🍜 Tenehaya – A Secret Ramen Spot in Phichit That’s Anything but Ordinary
This time, I made a special trip to Phichit just to try the ramen at Tenehaya, a hidden gem that true ramen enthusiasts have been quietly raving about.
Let me start by saying, it’s not a big restaurant, nor is it located in a mall, but the quality far exceeds its modest size.
⸻
🍥 What I Ordered
🥢 Shoyu Ramen
The shoyu broth is fragrant with Japanese soy sauce, clear yet deep in flavor. It’s perfectly balanced with a mild saltiness that doesn’t overpower. The noodles are cooked just right—not soggy. The chashu pork is tender without being overly fatty. Every element is harmoniously balanced, making it a bowl you can enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
🧂 Shio Ramen
This bowl truly showcases the chef’s skill. Shio (salt) broth is lighter than shoyu, and if not done well, it can taste bland. But here, the flavor is clean, distinct, and aromatic with hints of bones and fresh ingredients. The noodles pair perfectly with the broth. I particularly appreciate the "simple yet precise" execution of this dish.
⸻
🍗 Side Dishes
🥔 Pork Croquette
Crispy on the outside, smooth on the inside. The potato filling isn’t soggy, and the pork is well-seasoned. Best enjoyed hot.
🔥 Fried Chicken with Samjang Sauce
This dish was a pleasant surprise. The skin is crispy, the meat remains juicy, and the samjang sauce offers a sweet, salty, and slightly spicy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly. It’s not as heavy as you might expect.
⸻
🍡 Dessert: Warabi Mochi
Soft and lightly chewy, coated in fragrant kinako (roasted soybean powder) and drizzled with just the right amount of syrup. It’s a light dessert that complements the two bowls of ramen without being overly filling.
⸻
🪑 Ambiance & Price
The restaurant has a clean, minimalist vibe with limited seating, giving it a more serious, specialized feel rather than a trendy café atmosphere. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of ingredients and meticulous preparation. Compared to similar restaurants in big cities, this place offers great value.
⸻
📌 Final Thoughts
Tenehaya doesn’t aim to impress with grandeur.
It delivers "consistency."
If you’re in Phichit and craving thoughtfully crafted ramen, this is a spot worth marking on your map. 🍜✨
