Yu Na Cafe (Phrae) - A cafe with a Vang Vieng feel in Phrae.
#TravelTalk
Yoo Na Cafe is located just a short distance from Wat Nakukha. The atmosphere is amazing! The cafe is covered in vines, making it very shady and natural. There are several seating areas inside and on the outdoor terrace, accommodating many customers.
They offer a variety of drinks and food, including single-dish meals, som tum (papaya salad), and local Phrae dishes. They also have a wide selection of drinks, including seasonal fresh fruit juices.
Our favorite spot is the Thai flag on the terrace, perfect for taking photos. The view of the mountains in the background is beautiful, reminiscent of cafes in Vang Vieng with a similar atmosphere. #PhraeCafe #PhraeWhereToGo #PhraeTravel #PhraeCafeReview

Tub Ta Noi Cafe, a cafe with stunning views, located behind Wat Nakhuha.
#TravelTalk
When we walked to the end of the long wooden bridge that stretched across the rice fields of Wat Nakukha, we found a small cafe at the end. The atmosphere is surrounded by the mountains and rice fields of the area. The cafe is called Tub Ta Noi.
It's very popular here, with people who have walked to the end of the bridge and those just coming down from the mountain behind, all looking for something to quench their thirst. We stopped here when we came down from the mountain behind. They were kind enough to let us wash our feet because we had been trudging through mud the whole way.
We ordered lemon tea, which took a while to arrive because there were many customers, and they even went to pick fresh lemons from the garden themselves. This made our lemon tea extra fragrant. #PhraeWhereToTravel #PhraeReview #PhraeTravelDestinations #PhraeCafe

The Naga Cave in the heart of Phrae city, at Wat Sawankhaniwet.
#TravelTalk
Wat Sawan Niwet is located in Phrae city, near Wat Chom Sawan. You can drive and park inside the temple grounds, which has ample space. Inside the temple, you'll see many Naga (serpent) statues in various locations – in front of the main chapel, wrapped around the pagoda, and on various pillars within the temple.
They also have a replica of a Naga cave, not very large, but beautifully lit inside, and filled with numerous Naga statues. The walkway is a single path that winds around to the exit.
Before leaving, stop by the main chapel to pay respects to the Buddha statue inside for good fortune. #PhraeTravelGuide #CheckInPhrae #ExplorePhrae #PhraeAttractions

Wat Chom Sawan is a beautiful temple featuring Tai Yai (Shan) art in Phrae.
#TravelTalk
Wat Chom Sawan is a temple with unique art, unlike the temples we're used to. It's entirely constructed of wood, resembling a large wooden house adorned with Tai Yai (Shan) architectural styles. We visited the temple on a Sunday morning, so there weren't many tourists. In front, there were flower cones arranged for offering to the Buddha inside. We really liked these cones; each one was beautiful in its own way.
Inside, there's a beautiful Buddha statue and the old wooden building, creating a mystical atmosphere. #PhraeTravelGuide #PhraeTravelDestinations #PhraeAttractions #PhraeTourism

Street art สวยๆกลางเมืองแพร่
#TravelTalk
We discovered street art in Phrae by chance because our accommodation was in a narrow alley, about 200 meters long (Huen Khanthong Guesthouse). It's perfect for a stroll to admire the artwork.
The paintings are found on fences and large walls of buildings. Most depict old-fashioned life, shops, and various goods, with children adding color to the images. In the middle of the alley, there's a beautiful and very realistic tiger painting.
I recommend visiting in the morning or evening because there's not much shade, and it gets very hot during the day. #PhraeWhereToGo #PhraeTravelGuide #PhraeReview #PhraeAttractions #CheckInPhrae

Visit a temple over a thousand years old at Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng, Nan.
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng is located not far from Wat Phra That Cho Hae. What's interesting about this temple is its history, which is over 1,000 years old. Some of the architecture here looks different from other temples, perhaps due to its age.
What I like most is the impressive and ancient temple gate. The ordination hall and chedi are also very old. There are also large statues of a standing Buddha and a reclining Buddha at the front of the temple, which are quite unique in their art.
This is an interesting temple. If you have time after Wat Phra That Cho Hae, it's a good idea to stop by. #WhereToVisitInPhrae #WhereToVisitInPhrae #PhraeProvince #CheckInPhrae

Wat Phra That Cho Hae, a temple that everyone who comes to Phrae must visit.
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
For those traveling to Phrae or passing through Phrae, if you have time, we recommend paying homage to the provincial chedi representing the Year of the Tiger at Wat Phra That Cho Hae, a royal temple in Phrae Province.
There's a spacious parking lot in front of the temple. From there, you'll have to walk a long way up the hill to pay homage to the chedi at the top. The chedi is stunning, a golden yellow color, and is well-maintained. The adjacent viharn is also large and beautiful. You can also pay homage to the principal Buddha image inside. The paintings inside are also beautiful. #WhereToVisitPhrae #PhraeProvince #WhereToVisitPhrae #CheckInPhrae #ReviewPhrae

Review of Amornrak 2 Hotel, Phrae Province
🧀 Visiting Phrae, I had the chance to stop by Amornrak 2 Hotel in Phrae Province. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere with its bright cream-yellow tones. The room rates are very affordable, making it a great choice for a short stay while traveling or as a stopover for a longer journey. The hotel has two sections: the older building, Amornrak 1, and the newer building, Amornrak 2. During my visit, I went to the new building, but the parking was full, so I had to park at Building 1. It was convenient to walk across the street as the two buildings are not far apart.

When visiting Wat Nakhuha, take a stroll along the wooden bridge through the rice fields, and at the end of the path, you'll find a small drink shop that can be called a café. Its name is Tub Ta Noi. The café faces the rice fields and offers a perfect view of a golden Buddha statue, creating a truly picturesque scene.
The café is often bustling with customers, especially during the hot midday hours. After walking to the end of the path, many visitors stop by for a refreshing drink before heading back. Mae Kham Reservoir: A beautiful reservoir along the way in Phrae.
During our journey from a hotel in downtown Phrae to Wat Na Khu Ha, we passed by Mae Kham Reservoir, which is located along the route to the temple. On our way back, since we had some time, we decided to take a detour to admire the beauty of this reservoir.
We visited during midday when the sun was quite strong, but it made the photos we took turn out stunningly beautiful. The dam's ridge here isn't very long, and the view behind it features lush, green mountains surrounding the area, typical of a reservoir setting. At the center of the dam's ridge, there's a sign that reads "Mae Kham Reservoir, a Royal Initiative Project," where visitors can take photos and check in.

Wat Phra That Cho Hae, the sacred chedi for the Year of the Tiger in Phrae
#TravelChat
If you visit Phrae and don't pay respects to Phra That Cho Hae, it's like you haven't even been there. This saying is no exaggeration: Wat Phra That Cho Hae is an ancient temple that has been a part of Phrae for a long time, dating back to the Sukhothai period!
The chedi is about 20 minutes from the city center, situated on a small hill, not too high. There are several long stairs leading up. Upon ascending, you'll find the beautiful golden chedi. There are shops selling flowers, incense, and candles at the top. There's also a large, beautifully decorated viharn (ordination hall) adjacent to it.
Phra That Cho Hae is the chedi for the Year of the Tiger. Those born in the Year of the Tiger should definitely visit and pay their respects at least once. #PhraThatYearOfTheTiger #PhraThatChoHae #VisitPhrae #Phrae

Visit the beautiful Naga Cave at Wat Sawannivet, Phrae
Wat Sawannivet is located opposite Wat Chom Sawan, making it convenient to visit both places in one trip. A highlight of this temple is the replica Naga Cave, where visitors can walk inside and admire its beauty.
Outside, you will see a black Naga coiled around a golden stupa, along with several other Nagas entwined around pillars and various structures within the temple. The cave itself is nearby, featuring a realistic design and lighting that enhances the majestic and awe-inspiring appearance of each Naga.
The cave has a one-way path that leads visitors through and eventually up to the top, where a statue of Rahu is located. The cave is not very large, so the walk is relatively short. Before leaving, don't forget to pay respects to the principal Buddha image in the temple's ordination hall for blessings.

Wat Chom Sawan, a beautiful temple with Shan art.
#TravelChat
Wat Chom Sawan is located in Phrae city. When we visited, we happened to be staying in the city, so we couldn't miss the opportunity to visit and admire the beauty of Wat Chom Sawan in the morning.
The temple boasts a unique style of Shan art, made entirely of wood. Honestly, we've rarely seen temples like this. The temple was built with the faith of the Shan people from Burma who were trading in Phrae. It was built during the reign of King Rama VI and took approximately five years to complete.
What I love about this temple is the flower cones used for offerings. They're wrapped in flowers from the local area, beautifully decorated. Each cone is unique, like a piece of handmade art. #PhraeProvince #WatChomSawan #PhraeReview #WhereToVisitInPhrae

Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng, a thousand-year-old temple in Phrae
#TravelChat
Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng is located in Phrae, in Cho Hae Subdistrict, which is close to Wat Phra That Cho Hae. People often visit this temple alongside Wat Phra That Cho Hae because they are close to each other. Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng also has an interesting and ancient history.
Wat Phra That Chom Chaeng is over 1,000 years old, estimated to have been built in 1331 CE. It contains a relic of the Buddha's left hand. The temple underwent extensive renovations during the reign of King Lithai during the Sukhothai period, and Luang Pho Chom Chaeng has served as the principal Buddha image since over 600 years ago. Personally, I think the temple is very old, but I feel it hasn't been as well-maintained as it should be compared to more famous temples. #WhereToVisitPhrae #WhereToGoPhrae #Phrae #PhraeReview #PhraeProvince
