As we wound our way up the mountain, the view suddenly opened up in front of us. The ocean sparkling from above was truly gorgeous. Mountains, The sea, And a road of endless curves. Historically, Hai Van Pass was known as a notoriously difficult chokepoint for traffic, but since the construction of the tunnel, it has transformed into a highly popular scenic route. Because of this, you'll see tons of travelers soaking in the views on motorbike tours or by car these days. In fact, along the route, there were so many people who had pulled their bikes over on the road just to snap some photos. When sightseeing in Da Nang or Hoi An, your trip usually revolves around the towns and beaches, but experiencing this kind of raw natural scenery also leaves a massive impression. He drove safely and cautiously, and the car provided for the trips was modern and very comfortable. If you plan to visit Da Nang you probably know about Ba Na Hills, Hoi An, Marble Mountains and other tourist places. But have you heard about Hai Van Pass? Maybe. But what about the old railway bridge at Hai Van Pass? I don’t think so. And in my personal opinion this is a must see place in Da Nang. Picturesque, original and very peaceful. Definitely worth to visit! The bridge is called Đồn Nhất Bridge . Be aware: location on google maps is WRONG! So how to get there? There are 2 best options: taxi or motorbike. Both options are good, because on the way you can stop at other locations on Hai Van Pass. If it’s your first time on a motorbike I don’t recommend you to use this option. You need to reach this point:: 16.203528405038437, 108.11234385924924. Your taxi driver can park on the opposite side of the road, there is a building with small parking lot and wait for you there. You will see a small road going down on the right side (if you come from Da Nang). It’s closed most of the time with plastic blocks which you can easily move and pass (even on motorbike). Follow this road. It’s a short walk maybe for 10 minutes. In the end of this road you will see a railway and Ga Hải Vân Bắc railway station. IMPORTANT: google maps will show you to go left, but you need to go RIGHT. Just follow the railway. ATTENTION: this is an operating railway! Be aware you can meet a train there so be careful and watch both sides of the railway. Walk around 1 km forward and you will reach the bridge. Аfter the bridge, turn right and go down under it. You reached your destination!
