**🇮🇹 Hong Kong to Italy 10-Day Dream Trip: Milan, Florence, and Pisa Full Record**
Hello everyone! As a Hongkonger, I recently finally fulfilled my dream of going to Italy, completing a ten-day free trip, specializing in three cities: Milan, Florence and Pisa. From Hong Kong, no transfer direct flight, culture, fashion, food and history all at once! This high-quality sharing detailed Day-by-Day itinerary, practical tips and experiences, suitable for friends planning to travel to Europe reference ~ the whole process is easy and not rushed, budget about HK $ 18,000 per person (air tickets + hotel + food and entertainment + transportation), super high value for money!
**Day 1-2: Milan lands, fashion capital immediately enters the pit**
Take off from Hong Kong International Airport and land at Milan Malpensa Airport 13 hours later. Check into the city center hotel, drop off your luggage and rush to Duomo Plaza. Despite the grand exterior of Dumo Cathedral, favorite next to the **Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II** shopping gallery! Built in 1867, the glass dome is as bright as a palace and the floor is mosaic with a bull of Milan symbol, stepping on it is said to bring good luck. Prada, Gucci, Versace flagship stores are lined around, I swept a few leather handbags and silk scarves, feeling myself immediately upgraded to a nobleman😂. At night, eat authentic ossobuco stewed veal knee and risotto nearby, served with Chianti red wine, the layers are so rich that Hong Kong restaurants can't compare. Milan is the capital of fashion, two days just for strolling around castles and admiring da Vinci works, the perfect blend of modern and classical.
**Day 3-5: High Speed Rail Direct to Florence, Renaissance Immersive Experience**
Take the Trenitalia high-speed rail to Florence Santa Maria Novella station in 1 and a half hours. The city is a Renaissance cradle and art everywhere! First stop on Piazzale Michelangelo, overlooking the city: red tile roofs, the meandering Arno River, Florence Cathedral (Duomo) Brunelleschi dome shining golden in the sun, simply like an oil painting come alive! The interior of the church is beautifully murals, climbing 463 steps to the dome, and the 360-degree panoramic view is worth every step of sweat. Then head straight to the Uffizi Gallery to see Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and an authentic Michelangelo work, recommending booking online to avoid the crowds. A must-visit is the ancient bridge of Ponte Vecchio, with its gold jewelery shops and leather stalls, the dusk lights reflecting the Arno River, and the romance index is off the charts!
The food is the biggest highlight of Florence! There are so many street gelato shops, fresh milk and fruit flavors, smooth and delicate than any ice cream in Hong Kong. Tried pistachio and dark chocolate, with espresso coffee, one bite overflowing with happiness ~
**Days 6-8: Day Trip to the Leaning Tower of Pisa + In-depth Exploration of Florence**
Just 30 minutes to Pisa from Florence train station. Piazza dei Miracoli is super spacious and the Leaning Tower is the absolute protagonist! The tower is 55 meters high, inclined at 5.5 degrees but as stable as Mount Tai. Climbing the tower requires an online reservation, and the top floor overlooks the panoramic view. The classic “Tota” funny photo is a must, next to the white marble cathedral and baptistery equally shocking, the Renaissance predecessor at a glance. Return to Florence in the afternoon and continue to stroll the Oltrarno district alleys to buy handmade leather and olive oil souvenirs. At night, eat thin and crispy pizza at Piazza della Signoria Plaza. The mozzarella is fresh and juicy, authentic and affordable!
**Days 9-10: Shopping Summary + Return to Hong Kong**
Last two days to supplement shopping and relax, Milan airport duty-free shop again shopping. Overall with Eurail Pass or one-way ticket super cheap, accommodation choose Airbnb for high value for money. Practical tips: Italy use Euro, credit cards are common but small shops with cash; English is ok but learn "grazie" "prego" more friendly; summer hot sunscreen, food portions can share; Google Translate plus offline map essential. Convenient transportation, clean and punctual high-speed rail between cities, Hong Kong people can definitely adapt!
This 10-day trip is not only a photo spot, but also a slow-life attitude in Italy: drinking coffee in the sun, listening to music on the streets, sitting around with friends to eat. Compared to Hong Kong's fast pace, it makes people reflect on the essence of life. Highly recommended for those of you who love art, food and history! What are your recommended spots or tips for the next time I plan to visit Rome and Venice? Welcome to leave a message to exchange ~
