Albergue 1601, a local favorite Portuguese restaurant in Macau
albergue 1601
I'll introduce you to the popular local restaurant in Macau, albergue 1601.
Macau used to be a Portuguese colony.
When you go to Macau, you can see Portuguese-style buildings, food, and people speaking Portuguese.
I went to a place recommended by a Macau friend who said that you must try Macau's representative Portuguese food.
This place is so popular with locals that reservations are a must.
The restaurant building is so pretty and the interior is decorated with a vintage European feel.
The signature menu of albergue 1601 is
Portuguese cuisine salade de polvo (octopus salad), salted cod pasteis de bacalhau (codfish cakes), and Iberian sausage and duck fried rice arroz de pato no forno (baked duck rice).
