Stunning Antelope Canyon!
❤️ I had visited antelope canyon during the September weekend. It was HOT, so bring your water. However once the tour started, you would forget all that. Also the canyon itself has surprisingly cooler temps. They take you to the canyon itself and then there is walking/hiking involved.
❤️ Climbing back up from the canyon was the most difficult since I’m travelling with kid but there are shaded rest stops. Super friendly guides are there to help you, take pictures. They dont rush, but do appreciate folks moving along in a group.
❤️ There is no cellphone signal, so download your maps or memorize route back. Driving back to Page, the cellphone connectivity resumed within a mile of driving out of that area. Love this place!

Antelope Canyon - a natural sculpture of beauty, a paradise of light!
Antelope Canyon is located not far southeast of Page, within the Navajo Indian Reservation, situated in a perennially dry riverbed, and is divided into two separate canyons: upper and lower.
From above, the Upper Antelope Canyon looks like a narrow channel carved by flowing water through the rock and sandstone, while the Lower Antelope Canyon is hidden beneath the surface, mysterious and unseen.
When sunlight illuminates the deep and tranquil sections of the canyon, the dance of light and shadow unleashes its charm here, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts.
The Lower Antelope Canyon, located underground, requires descending metal staircases to reach its depths, and sometimes ropes are needed to navigate through. Due to the difficulty of access, there are fewer visitors, but photographers often come here to capture the scenery.
As sunlight pours into the quiet depths of the canyon, the dance of light and shadow casts its enchanting spell, revealing the wonder that is Antelope Canyon!

The Antelope Canyon in the United States, a miracle of water and light.
Antelope Canyon is one of the world's famous slot canyons and a well-known photography spot. It is located in the northern part of Arizona in the western United States and belongs to the Navajo Indian Reservation. It is divided into two independent parts in terms of terrain: Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. According to the Navajo tribe's historical accounts, the area used to be a habitat for pronghorn antelopes, and antelopes often roamed in the canyon, which is why it is called Antelope Canyon.
Lingyang Valley is the most beautiful canyon in North America. It is deep and narrow, cutting deeply into the ground. The geological structure here is famous for its soft red sandstone, which, after millions of years of various erosive forces, mainly floods and wind erosion, has formed today's wonderful dream world.

Antelope Canyon, USA
Antelope Canyon is a complex of several independent canyons located in northern Arizona near the border of Utah. "Antelope" refers to the so-called "slot canyons" - narrow passages with strange geometric shapes caused by seasonal floods and underground processes. The changing lighting leads to constantly changing shapes and colors inside the canyon; it is one of the most frequently photographed places in the world.
"The depth of Xia Lingyang reaches 37 meters (about twelve floors), with a length of 407 meters. The different color tones of the stones - red, orange, and purple - are explained by impurities of various iron oxides."
The Navajo sandstone has a history of 174-191 million years, but the canyon itself was formed much later, just a few hundred years ago. There is no doubt that the process of "canyon formation" is still ongoing.

"The place touched by God" - Antelope Canyon, a hidden gem!!!
Antelope Canyon is one of the top ten address wonders in the world. It is different from other canyons in that it exists underground. When you come to the entrance of the canyon, there is only a piece of bare red sandstone under your feet, and all you can see is a crack on the red sandstone. When you drill down from the crack on the ground, you find that there is another cave below!
The narrow canyon is like a fantasy and wonderful art palace. The width of the red canyon can only accommodate one or two people, and its walls are ever-changing. The texture of the rock formation flows along the canyon, and the surface seems to have been carefully polished into various concave and convex shapes, just like the waves of hundreds of millions of years ago were frozen in this canyon.
When the weather is fine, the sun will shine down through the gaps. Different rock wall geology produces wonderful light and shadow effects and different shapes under the light of different angles. It is beautiful, like a dream, and some people often call Antelope Canyon "the place touched by God".
Antelope Canyon is also a sacred place for the Navajo Nation. According to the historical narrative of the Navajo Nation, this place used to be the habitat of wild antelopes, and antelopes often wandered in the canyon, hence the name. The older Navajo people once regarded this place as a holy place for meditation and communication with the gods. The cause of Antelope Canyon is mainly the erosion of torrential rains year after year for hundreds of millions of years.

The cause of Antelope Canyon is mainly the erosion of torrential rains year after year for hundreds of millions of years. According to a local tour guide, when some tourists entered the canyon, it happened that there was a short-term torrential rain upstream. In a short period of time, the torrential rain converged into mountain torrents, and the tourists were washed away before they had time to escape.
