The Sagaing Yoke Sone monastery is a fine example of the architecture of the Inwa era. It was built and donated by the second king of Inwa to Ariyawuntha Sayadaw. The monastery has been renovated by Sitagu Sayadaw over the last 15 years, after the death of the first resident monk, Ariyawuntha Sayadaw.
The Ten Great Birth Stories of the Buddha are depicted on the walls of the monastery, with magnificent wooden craftwork.
