Malacca is a name familiar to everyone, as the Strait of Malacca was mentioned in textbooks since childhood. As an important part of the cultural heritage of West Malaysia, Malacca has witnessed history and carries many stories and memories. Growing up on the old streets with arcades, the Nanyang style of Malacca is like an old dream, yet so vivid.

Super Chio Heritage Hotel Melaka!😍✨🏠
#wheretogo
I recently went to malacca for the first time in ages and stayed at the Baba House Melaka. It was a very good stay and I thoroughly enjoyed it! They served welcome drinks which you can redeem with a antique coin they gave us or you can choose to keep the coin instead. The room I stayed in was a King Deluxe and it was a corner room on the first floor. I loved how spacious it was and the tv was super new and could connect to Netflix. The aircon was very responsive and cold just like how I like it due to weather being so hot lately. The bed was on the firmer side but it really supported my back well and I had a very restful night sleep. They also provided two pillows, one soft and one firm which I think was very thoughtful. The towels were very absorbent and not too thick nor thin. The provided toiletries also had a very nice smell to them which I really enjoyed. I loved the room decoration and that the toilet had natural lighting. The breakfast buffet was also very delightful with a wide variety and the quality of the food was above average. I spent a good 1.5hours eating and enjoying the natural lighting of the dining area. The hotel was still under some minor renovation but it is 80-90% opened. the location is very central and easy to assess the jonker street and other attractions. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to melaka to stay!

Baba House Melaka ✨
Absolutely stunning heritage hotel. It's clearly been attentively renovated and is clean and comfortable, especially considering the price. It's ideally located right next to Jonker Walk and walking distance to most of the tourist attractions.
My bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows, and slept well. Wifi was excellent throughout the hotel vicinity.
Took some time to explore the building. Several photography spots, beautiful wooden stairs, colorful traditional murals with wooden windows with panels, collection of Nonya heritage objects and furniture, interesting Chinese names of rooms or doorways which each have a small placard nearby with explanations.
The staff are most commendable, always ready to serve! Thank you for making my short stay a memorable one. Definitely recommend Baba House! ❤️

Staying in a Peranakan Boutique Hotel
As soon as I stepped into the Baba House Hotel in Malacca, I was instantly transported to a bygone era. The hotel, nestled amidst the historic streets of this UNESCO World Heritage city, exuded an old-world charm that captured my heart. The moment I entered my room, I couldn't help but admire the beautifully preserved Peranakan architecture and the intricate details that adorned every corner.
Each morning, I woke up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of birds chirping outside my window. The hotel's courtyard provided a serene escape from the bustling city. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of tea and immerse myself in the captivating history of the region.
The staff at Baba House Hotel were warm and friendly, always ready to offer recommendations and share fascinating stories about Malacca's rich heritage. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and memorable.
Exploring Malacca was a delight, with the hotel's central location making it easy to visit the iconic landmarks and sample the mouthwatering Peranakan cuisine.

Baba House Part II review
📍Baba House, Melaka. This is my Part II review✨
I totally enjoyed my stay here and always looking forward to coming back for another staycation. Can refer to my Part I review regarding Deluxe King bedroom that I have experienced.
This is my review regarding Baba House facilities & hospitality✨
(I attached photos for easy reference)
- A warm welcoming experience from its receptionist and we can redeem a welcome drink.
- Apart from the comfy & lush room, they also have stunningly beautiful Dining area. Variety of foods provided and I totally enjoyed their heritage interior.
- Next, Baba House also have other facilities/rooms i.e. Library, Kids room to play, Antique room and beautiful Rooftop swimming pool! I think they have few others facilities which I have yet to explore😂
- They also have lift and security door for each blocks. Quite big hotel area located nearby Jonker street. I’m impressed!
- Oh didn’t I mention, they also have private parking space for guests and its under the roof. Another good point because the area is nearby Jonker street and always congested.

Absolutely stunning heritage hotel
📍Baba House Melaka. I totally loved my staycation here! This is my PART I review✨
Housed in a heritage building showcasing traditional Peranakan culture, I was really blown away with Baba’s House exterior and interior aesthetically pleasing ambience. From the moment I entered the lobby, warm welcome from the receptionist and I got two (2) nyonya coins to redeem for welcome drink.
✨PART I REVIEW: Deluxe King Room/ Accommodation
Spacious room, King bed, they have rattan wardrobe with hanger inside, security box, hairdryer, complete amenities, clean room and clean bathroom. Separate shower & toilet. Big TV and choices of channels. I brought with me 1 luggage & 2 bags and still have space to perform prayer. Laundry bag, room slipper & mineral water. Iron in room upon request.
Bed is comfy & honestly, I had good sleep during my stay here.
‼️The only cons is that I got a room at ground level so quite difficult to get phone line, sometime no coverage and no wi-fi. I cannot complete works in my room as no internet reached.
My suggestion is please request for a room at higher level and avoid ground level. Unless you are having ME-time and MUTE from outside interaction, so this is adequate for you.

Strategic Hotel in Melaka! 🏨
It was a nice stay! Strategic location as the hotel in in Jonker Street. Parking is provided at the hotel but limited spaces. The hotel is very new and spacious, with babanyonya style desined. Hotel room was ok, not big but enough for 2 person. Amenities was provided. Library room was available at the hotel, congkak and board games are provided. Everything is good and satisfies
HOWEVER!! My room is just beside the lift and i can hear everything super clearly 🥲 Woke up at 5:30am because i cant sleep due to the noise. Do request a room further from the lift, then i think it will be ok!!#melaka

Baba House Melaka - Newly Renovated !!
My family staying at Baba House Melaka for a weekend self-drive trip in October 2022. We booked a junior suite for two nights. Facilities were new and clean. Location is convenient as it’s walking distance to Jonker Street & Market. The hotel has ample parking behind, and there is 24/7 security on duty. As our room is on the second floor facing the road, it can be quite noisy at night due to loud vehicles speeding through. Water pressure is also not high and hot water takes a while to come through. For Breakfast, there is wide selection and vegetarian dishes are labeled. Dining area is cosy. The entrance of the hotel looks great for photoshoot too !
