Bern Bear Park: A World Heritage Site and a Beautiful City
Bern, or Berne, boasts numerous fountains, sandstone facades, narrow streets, and historic towers. The medieval ambiance is truly unique.
Above the Bear Park, the Rose Garden offers a view from its 101-meter-high cathedral bell tower and terrace, overlooking the old town and the River Aare.
Past fortifications and bastions are located on the steep slopes beside the river. The old town has many fashion boutiques, bars, and taverns, some of which are established in ancient vaulted cellars.
The numerous cafes within the small streets attract both locals and tourists alike. Although Bern has a very developed public transportation network, it is still best to explore the beauty of this city on foot.

Bears are the symbol of Bern.
Nice little bear park just in the city center next to the river. Must visit if you are in Bern, not just for the Bear Pit itself but the surroundings as you can take a stroll along the river, immerse yourself in the surroundings with beautiful views of the Bern Old town.

📍Bern Bear Pit, Bern, Switzerland
The city of Bern, also known as the city of bears and bears appeared on the flags, water fountains and buildings in Berne. Besides, there is also tours for bear spotting in the public bear park in Berne! It was winter during our visit and we did not get to spot any bears around the area back then. Barenpark (bear park) is pretty walkable from the old town across the bridge, and we were greeted by the stunning view of Bern city and the Aare River. The river was glistening and shimmering in emerald blue, the buildings, bridges and architectures were all beautiful and mesmerising. Worth a visit for every visitors visiting Berne!

The bear is a symbol of the city, and Bern is a "bear" in German. At the beginning of the city, the ruler of the town, the Duke of Chalingen, decided to name the city with the first prey captured. Therefore, the bear established the symbol of Bernier.
Xiongyuan is located on the side of the Nidige Bridge and passes through the bridge and begins to enter the old town of Bernier.
The park is home to bears that symbolize Bern. In fact, Xiongyuan is not a zoo that is generally imagined. It is just a wall surrounded by several bears. The bears are free to move around. There is no entrance and no tickets. The cute bears, especially the bears, attract many tourists to stop. Visit. There are only a maximum of 5 bears to be accommodated here. Each bear receives about 4 kilograms of food per day, including food for tourists. Visitors can buy feed to feed these bears.
