[2024 Waverton Stay] Travel Guide for Big Home Hideaway in the Heart of Sydney (Updated Nov)
Exploring Secret Monuments and Parks
Just had an unforgettable night adventure in Sydney, and I'm bursting to share all the magical details with you! đđ
Sydney by night is a whole new world, and I was lucky enough to stumble upon some hidden monuments that seemed to whisper tales of the past. The **ANZAC War Memorial**, bathed in a gentle, respectful light, stood tall in Hyde Park, a poignant reminder of sacrifices made. I stood there in awe, feeling the weight of history.
A bit more wandering led me to the **Captain James Cook Monument**, his silhouette against the night sky almost surreal. It felt like he was gazing out over the tranquil waters of Botany Bay, contemplating the city he unknowingly helped shape. I couldn't help but ponder the journeys of explorers who came before us.
The parks in Sydney, usually bustling with energy, were transformed into peaceful retreats under the stars. The **Chinese Garden of Friendship**, adorned with lanterns casting a soft glow, was like stepping into another world. The traditional architecture, complete with flowing water and vibrant flora, had an otherworldly beauty that left me speechless.
For those seeking a celestial escape, **Observatory Hill Park** was the place to be. Nestled atop a hill, it provided an unobstructed view of the night sky, with the city's lights below and the stars above creating a breathtaking contrast. It was a serene reminder of our place in the universe.
As I soaked in the enchanting ambience, I couldn't help but feel grateful for these lesser-known spots that had gifted me with such extraordinary experiences. So, my fellow adventurers, if you find yourself in Sydney at night, make sure to seek out these hidden gems. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! â¨đ
Until next time, keep exploring, keep wandering, and keep embracing the beauty of the night. đđ

Long Reef Beach
#sydneytrip
Another one of Sydneyâs beautiful northern beaches.
The beach is super local and a great atmosphere. Waves are usually pretty big. Short walk around the headland to the rock pools and fisherman's bay, and you can also walk to the Dee why pool.
Usually plenty of parking to go around but at a rip off price of AUD 10 per hour .Showers and bathrooms provided.

Archibald Memorial Fountain
#sydneytrip
Archibald Fountain is a wonderful place to relax and take some photos of the fountain and the cathedral behind. In the fountain, there are lots of statues and sculptures, which include heracles (hercules) killing the lion, and Theseus and the Minotaur. There is also St Mary's Cathedral directly behind the fountain, which can appear in any photos you take. There's lots of tourists here too.
Worth a visit if you are around Hyde Park

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023 Australia
Australia celebrated its first restriction-free New Yearâs Eve after two years of Covid disruptions, with more than a million revellers flocking to Sydneyâs harbourfront and watching an elaborate fireworks display.
Sydney was one of the worldâs first major cities to welcome in the new year and drew huge TV audiences around the world, with a public countdown and fireworks display over its opera house.
âThis New Yearâs Eve we are saying Sydney is back as we kick off festivities around the world and bring in the new year with a bang,â said Clover Moore, the lord mayor of Sydney.

Modern Sydney office
Architecture is one impressive element of Sydney - just a regular office space is well-designed and visually appealing. The lighting, ventilation, aesthetic considerations are all taken into account and often intelligently executed. A tourist wouldnât expect to enjoy a good time even just by randomly entering into someoneâs office!
This office is in the ANZ Tower overseeing the harbour front with stunning sea view and lots of nice coffee shops and fine restaurants nearby. Very often tourists go to touristy places but why not try something different by visiting where local people go every day! #CelebrateWithTrip #sydney #architecture #office

Sydney Harbour front
The waters of Australia are beautiful - there are a lot to do near the harbour front, from simply enjoying the seaview and breeze to visiting the Australian Maritime Museum to eating seafood at the Australian Fish Market. As an island country, the sea contributes a lot to what the locals eat and do. The yachts are cool to spend a day on also! #sydney #seafood #markets

Diverse and Vibrant Sydney!
Sydney is a super welcoming city to be in - not only are the people (from taxi driver to barista) I met very friendly, but you can find different talents in them also - look at the ball pen drawing in the first photo! It is more impressive in real life. I love seeing people make their living in different ways there - street art, performance, cooking⌠you certainly wonât feel bored here! #sydney #streetart #australia

[Jezve Coffee] in Sydney (Rose Bay)
-The romance of taking a walk with a beer and coffee in hand-
A cafe located right next to Rose Bay, a beach where you can enjoy your time with your pet!
I chose to take it out and enjoy a flat white while walking along the seaside, which is also delicious đ¤âď¸
Even in late September, it's still cold in Sydney, so you need a jacket, so a warm coffee will make you feel good. . .
When traveling to Sydney, I'd love to visit various beaches âşď¸âşď¸

A Canât Miss on Your Trip Down-Under: Sydney
If youâre into architectural wonders, Sydney Opera House must be on your list.
Had a chance to visit the harbor city some years back, and I canât wait to go back and hopefully watch a real concert inside it, and enjoy one of those marvelous light and fireworks shows.
The city itself boast modern vibes and it may not be the most affordable cities in Australia, but it should not stop you from admiring the man-made wonders around the city. Global Harbor Bridge, The Opera House, the whole Quay area, all of the statues around the city, and so much more!
Oh, and while youâre there, sample all different kind of cuisines you can find! Itâs a cultural melting pot so you can enjoy Indonesian foods one day, then Turkish the next.
Is Sydney in your bucket list? ;)

Revenge Travelling in Sydney - 100% WORTH IT!
Amid the monotonous life brought on by the covid pandemic and lockdowns, the lifting of border restrictions brought the opportunity for our first overseas travel in 2 years!
Although we were pretty worried about the Sydney flooding before we flew off, Iâm happy to say that not only did it not affect our trip, but New South Wales is as vibrant as ever with buzzing night time, beautiful scenery, and friendly folk.
It was at Picton Valley that we experienced our first skydiving experience which was an unbelievable combination of terrifying and exhilarating.
We also made sure to catch the Moulin Rouge show which is a definite must see while youâre there!
Overall a great respite from the day-to-day grind and now Iâm just counting down to my next trip!

Went to blue mountain on a weekend during my trip to Sydney. Blue mountain is very popular attraction for every one who visit the Sydney.
Nature is at the peak here. With the beautiful view of blue sky with clouds, long trees, valley, hills and forest everything at one place at all the view is amazing.
There are many points from where you can see or take the full enjoyment of sight seeing of blue mountain .In the blue mountains there are three hills together which are called three sisters. You can also ride on the worldâs steepest sky rail.
Will highly recommended since it only about 1 hour drive from downtown with plenty of parking.
