With every place I visit, one of the drills is to find a reliable coffee spot. The blue bottle cafe gave me that consistency I need for a good start to the day. I mean coffee. Its pretty too. Blue Bottle Coffee Kyoto Cafe, located in a century-old machiya which is a traditional townhouse, offers a calming, Zen-like ambiance that makes it a standout spot for coffee enthusiasts.
I love the interiors. It embraces a mix of Japanese and urban elegance, providing a serene and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a variety of coffee options, with the drip coffee being a notable choice for its bright and clean flavors. While the coffee receives positive remarks, the snacks, including options like gruyère cheese waffles and a Kyoto-exclusive Green Tea Mint Cookie, are satisfactory but not particularly exceptional. I guess they continue to sell due to it's popularity and lot of first timers to here and such offerings. But coffee wise they are reliable.
