Certainly, one must experience the passionate island breeze at Semporna
There is a fairyland called Semporna, and a sea called the Glass Jelly Sea of Kapalai in Semporna, where you can be forever fascinated by the glassy sea as you indulge in the free and passionate island breeze.
Living in Semporna is simply about waiting for those moments when the wind comes, like chasing the island breeze.
Semporna, you have all the blue that I desire.
After crossing the Glass Sea, I arrived in another world.
✅Must Experience:
Sipadan Island,
Mabul Island,
Mataking Island,
Kapalai Island,
Warship Island,
Pearl Island
🍽Dining Recommendations:
When in Semporna, of course, you must try the seafood. The prices here are very affordable, and you can usually bargain. Moreover, the seafood is fresh out of the water and cooked on the spot. Recommended dishes include cream butter tiger prawns, salted egg yolk crab with coconut, cream fried shrimp, and salt and pepper mantis shrimp, which are quite large! Also, the local fried noodles are a specialty!
👍Most Recommended:
Sipadan, 36 kilometers away from Semporna Port, is a world-class diving paradise. After the 5-meter shallow waters of Sipadan, there is a vertical drop of over 600 meters into the deep blue sea, making it the world's top wall diving site. Moreover, there are many fish species to observe underwater, which diving enthusiasts should not miss.
💰Average Cost:
The cost of living in Semporna is cheaper than in China. Street-side durians cost about 4-5 yuan per half kilogram, and tiger prawns in seafood restaurants are about 14 yuan each. Renting a motorcycle for a day costs about 50 yuan. Eating, drinking, and having fun are all at fairy-tale prices!
📝Tips to Note:
🍀For example, purchase a SIM card, charging adapter, and diving suit in advance on shopping apps, and download ride-hailing apps like Grab and Google Maps.
🍀Dress Guide: Malaysia is in summer all year round, with high temperatures and strong ultraviolet rays, but thunderstorms are common. In addition to summer clothes, be prepared with rain gear or rainproof outdoor clothing.
🍀Moreover, many locals in Semporna are Muslims, and wearing tank tops, shorts, and miniskirts is strictly prohibited in mosques.
🍀Remember to bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and other sun protection items.
🍀Malaysia's elegant lifestyle is rich, and you can try local delicacies and night markets.
🍀Respect local culture and customs, and maintain civilized tourism.
🍀Keep an eye on your personal belongings, especially in crowded and bustling places!

Semporna Island never fails me
I travel with my friends to this beautiful place called Semporna Island, Bohey Dulang. Once reach the island, you need to prepare to hike the hill. The journey to reach the peak hill will take around 20 to 30 minutes depends on your own pace. When we reach the peak hill, the view was so mesmerising and totally breathtaking. I must say this is one of the best view that I have ever witnessed in my entire life. But please be take note, if you have medical or health problem, do not attempt to hike the hill. Kindly get advice from the expert even though the hiking route is not really hard but still precautions is needed. Million thanks to our tour guide who accompanied us through out the trip. Definitely I recommend to all my fellow friends out there to come here and feel the experience for once in your life ☺️#island #sempornasabah #sabah #triptosabah

#traveldiaries #malaysia
Bohey Dulang Island, located in Sabah’s Tun Sakaran Marine Park, is a stunning volcanic island famous for its breathtaking views and clear waters. Visitors can hike to its summit for panoramic scenery but unfortunately we are not allowed during that time due to bad weather. Besides that, visitors can enjoy snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Bohey Dulang Hike - Semporna Island Hopping
Stunning panoramic aquamarine views at the top make this medium difficulty hike more than worth it! The hike itself isn’t that intense, so long as you wear good trainers, but the heat and humidity make it tough! There are rest stops along the way too! If you make this part of an island hopping day trip, the neighbouring islands are also absolutely stunning! 10/10

Paradise found at Bohey Dulang
#travelanywhere
I done some hiking around and Bohey Dulang has to be one of the best places I have hiked to !!!
Bohey Dulang is a mountainous island (the biggest island in Tun Sakaran Marine Park) , said to be formed by the remnants of an ancient volcano...
The crater forming Bohey Dulang is now flooded with seawater creating a large, majestic lagoon 25m deep.
The view of this beautiful crater makes the moderately steep hike which is about 700m ... seriously worth all your effort!!! The reward after the huffing and puffing and muscle aching is a one of the most glorious view of the turquoise sea, neighbouring islands and the crater lagoon that seems like every shade of blue.
Be sure to wear covered shoes or you can also rent rubber shoes there for RM5 each.

Pearl Island in Semporna, a paradise for mountain climbing enthusiasts
🏝️ The Pearl Island of Semporna, also known as the Sleeping Beauty Island, is a tranquil volcanic island and an excellent spot to overlook the vast scenery of the Tun Sakaran Marine Park!
⛰️ It has an altitude of 600 meters, and the hiking journey is about 700 meters to reach the summit!
🕒 The one-way hiking trip takes about 30 minutes, and the round trip is approximately 1 hour in total!
The mountain is not very high, but it is quite primitive. During the climb, most people will sweat profusely💦! Singing joyfully while trekking through the tropical rainforest, and when you reach the top and see the beautiful scenery, you instantly feel 'This is heaven'☁️
🚢 Travel Guide
1️⃣ Choose a group day tour: There are no fixed boat schedules, and you cannot go by yourself, so you need to join a group; signing up for a group tour will also include an afternoon visit to Mabul Island and the Warship Island, usually departing at 9:00 AM and arriving by 10:00 AM. You will stay on this island for about 2 hours; (highly recommended)
2️⃣ Charter a boat: If you want to spend more time exploring, you can choose to charter a boat, with prices starting from 1000 Malaysian Ringgit; you can plan your own itinerary; (general recommendation)
After about 40 minutes of boat ride to the island, listen to a 10-minute English briefing and introduction, and then you can start your hiking adventure🧗
⚠️ Precautions
1️⃣ Be sure to wear sports shoes (this is extremely important‼️), as the mountain paths are really rough, especially when descending, which involves steep slopes and primitive trails. If you need to rent shoes, they are available at the foot of the mountain, and the rental fee including socks is 10 Malaysian Ringgit; I didn't bring sports shoes to reduce luggage burden, renting shoes is quite convenient, and it's more hygienic with socks.
2️⃣ You must bring water when climbing, as there are no shops along the way; and you will sweat a lot in the tropical rainforest, so it's important to rehydrate timely to prevent heatstroke.
3️⃣ It is recommended to wear your own clothes, choose something loose, comfortable, and suitable for taking photos! After reaching the summit, 📷 the photo opportunities are fantastic; there are toilets at the bottom for changing into swimsuits🩱, which won't affect the subsequent snorkeling and island activities.
4️⃣ Know your limits: This requires a good deal of physical strength and stamina, and there are pavilions on the mountainside for resting.
5️⃣ There are places selling drinks🥤 at the summit, and the beverages are very cold🧊; 5 Malaysian Ringgit per bottle, with various drinks like cola available; although the guide said there weren't any, I found them both times I went.
👗 Dressing Suggestions
Be sure to wear your own clothes, preferably bright colors, for absolutely stunning photos!

Its pristine white sandy beaches gently kiss the crystal-clear turquoise waters, inviting visitors to dip into its refreshing embrace. Towering limestone cliffs shroud the island, creating a dramatic backdrop against the azure sky.

Bohey Dulang, the treasure of Borneo
Bohey Dulang is one of the picturesque, palm-lined islands that make up Semporna's sparkling archipelago. This hilly landmass, formed by the remains of an old volcano, is the second-largest in Tun Sakaran Marine Park. Though staying on the island for the night is not possible, it is a popular day trip for birdwatchers, hikers, and divers. But what genuinely distinguishes it from other Bornean islands is the magnificent view of the archipelago from its highest summit, which attracts visitors all year. The views from Bohey Dulang’s highest point are what draws most people to the island. From the 353m-high viewpoint, visitors are greeted by an almost unreal panorama of the lagoon’s crystal-clear waters and the coral reefs that lie beneath.
By name alone, Pearl Island seems to have won the starting line, but it is a volcanic island. If you go to the island, you need to climb the mountain. At an altitude of about 700 meters, you can climb the summit in about half an hour, overlooking the entire Dun Saqqa Ocean. In the park, all the scenery is unobstructed, and the mood will be very comfortable.
2.5 million years ago, there was a super volcano erupted here, and then a volcanic lake with a diameter of 6.5 kilometers was formed. As time went by, some of the craters sank into the sea, and the rest became eight. The island also contains approximately 350 kilometers of coral reefs.
Therefore, you can not only enjoy beautiful scenery but also diving activities.
樱殇之恋.
Pearl Island, also known as Bohai Dulang Island and Sleeping Beauty Island, is a peaceful volcanic island. From the shallow beaches of the coast, you can see clear tropical fish and colored corals. After 600 meters on foot, you can overlook Dunsa Karan Marine Park. The mountain road is a very primitive road. The Yunnan people who traveled with oneday took the children and said that 600 meters is as easy for them to walk. In fact, at the top of the mountain, we were already sweating. I almost wanted to give up in the middle of the road, but I thought that the beauty of the mountain top would still hold on. The large white clouds danced overhead, the blue sea lay quietly on the soles of the feet, the wind blew gently, and looked at the distant distance, and I really missed the feeling of poetry.
