Los Angeles Travel | Everything on One Street, You Can't Go Wrong Playing Like This
Last September's appointment made me book a plane ticket again and embark on a trip to Los Angeles, which is also the farthest trip this year. The distance from Beijing to Los Angeles is 10,032 kilometers, and it takes 12 hours to fly directly.
Whether it was a pilgrimage, a promise, or fate, I arrived in Los Angeles on the day before Chinese New Year.
🍩Food: There are many delicious brunch places in Los Angeles, mostly near Sunset Boulevard and Melrose. My friend recommended several must-visit places before, and this time I checked them off one by one! In addition, I also tried the restaurants on the Malibu beach, the price is not low, but the scenery really makes people feel relaxed.
🏨Stay:
We chose downtown this time because the places we want to go are not far from where we stay. I will explain the surrounding food, drink and entertainment in detail later.
Mayfair Hotel (1256 W 7th St, Los Angeles, CA)
$120/night, booked 2 months in advance.
We traveled during the Spring Festival, and the price at that time was close to $200.
❤️Day 1: All nearby, can be done in one day
Eat: egg sult (breakfast)
grand central market (lunch)
blue bottle (afternoon tea)
Bradbury building 304 south broadway (Google it, all nearby)
The Last Bookstore
U.S. Bank Tower
Angel Flight Railway ($1)
Santa Monica (dinner), revisit old places, buy a phone, need to drive a bit far.
Special reminder:
1️⃣You can download Google Maps on your phone for convenience and to see travel guides and accurate arrival times. For overseas reviews, when you don't know what to eat, you can check out "Yelp", a food guide sorted by time, rating, level, cuisine, nearby, and price. It includes chain coffee shops you want to go to, how far they are from you, and offers a wide range of dining options. The reviews from netizens are also very objective, making it friendly for first-time or novice travelers.

The Bradbury building is one of the oldest commercial buildings in Downtown Los Angeles, considered an iconic, well-maintaining historical landmark.
Its unique structural features are remarkable; the Victorian center court has an impressive skylit atrium; wrought-iron stairs and birdcage elevators are full of readable details. It's a gorgeous timeless architectural piece.
The 1893 built building still runs the business, majorly office. The entrance lobby is open to the public during office hours; the building security will ask visitors remain quiet.
"Blade Runner" was filmed here, Ridley Scott's 1982's movie.

Vintage-style Bradbury Building in Los Angeles.
The Bradbury Building in Los Angeles was built in 1893 and is one of the city's architectural landmarks. The entire building, from its exterior structure to its interior decoration, exudes the style of Italian Renaissance!
The three-part architecture with red bricks, sandstone, and terracotta tiles on the exterior is a typical feature of the Chicago School of Architecture. As the Chicago School is also a response to classical architecture, it inherently contains many classical architectural vocabulary such as cornices and arches. Therefore, some people may consider it to be classified as neoclassical style.
From the structure to the interior decoration, the Italian Renaissance style is evident. When you enter from the entrance, you will feel that the ceiling is low and the lighting is dim. When you come to the lobby, you will feel visually enlightened. The gorgeous interior decoration will make you feel like you have returned to a hundred years ago. The transparent lighting makes the indoor light and shadow constantly change throughout the day. The red steel used in the building was cast in France and exhibited at the Chicago World Expo before being installed here. The marble used for the stairs comes from Belgium, while the floor is in Mexican style.

The contradiction between the historical significance of the building and the expensive renovation once led to its brief abandonment. However, these silent shocks have attracted the director, who through the film has brought it back to the world's attention. This is also the charm of architecture: silence, less talk, and more contact and feeling.
