Carmel-by-the-Sea,a romantic getaway
#100WaysOfTravel #beachlife #roadtrip Carmel-by-the-Sea is a romantic getaway to a seaside, art-filled village on California's Monterey Peninsula. It's well known for the museums and library of the historic Carmel Mission, and the fairytale cottages and galleries of its village-like center. The Scenic Bluff Path runs from surf spot Carmel Beach to bird-rich Carmel River State Beach, with a scuba entry point.

Carmel Town | Just like a fairy tale world
Located on the winding slopes, surrounded by lush forests, overlooking the rugged coastline covered by cypress trees. This dreamy fairy-tale town 'settled' many art galleries, boutiques, historic inns, cafes and fairy-tale cottages.
Walking in this one-square-mile town, the scent of eucalyptus, pine and jasmine is everywhere, and the sound of waves hitting the rocks can be faintly heard. The residential streets seem to be hidden behind the trees, blending with the lush vegetation.
In 1900, James Franklin Devendorf and Frank Powers from San Francisco bought most of the land here, intending to establish a haven for intellectuals and independent individuals.
Soon they attracted many artists, writers and poets, such as Robert Lewis Stevenson, the author of 'Treasure Island', Jack London, etc.
Interesting things about the town
✨Bing Crosby (if you love old musicals, you definitely know him) hosted a winter golf pro-am (a competition between professional and amateur golfers) here, called 'Clam Bake'
🌟Clint Eastwood (my idol!!) served as the mayor of Carmel from 1986 to 1988. During his tenure, he added public toilets by the sea and lifted the ban on eating ice cream 🍦 in public places (there are so many strange bans in the US)
💫 The houses here still have no addresses, only names, and residents have to go to the post office to get their mail.

La Bicyclette🥐
Beautiful Brunch
Kris Kringle of Carmel 🎄
Christmas decoration shop, where you can buy ornaments made from candy house templates, and under the guidance of the shop owner, you can find the small house built in the town based on the candy house.
Hansel & Gritel 🍬
Named after the world-famous fairy tale 'Candy House', the owner lives nearby and will come back from time to time.
Hog’s Breath Inn 🍔
You can order a burger
Normandy Inn 🇫🇷
A half-timbered French country inn, surrounded by flowers, is quite photogenic.
Various retro music boxes, those who love them naturally understand
Excellent rugged coastline observation point nearby

BEST THINGS TO DO IN CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA IN THE FALL
Carmel-by-the-Sea was described to me as a Village in the Forest by the Sea by Hofsas House Owner and General Manager, Carrie Theis. I had not started my 48 hour adventure, but those exact words described the type of experience that I was about to embark on in Carmel-by-the-Sea this Fall. Glorious sunsets overlooking the Pacific Ocean, renown shopping, excellent wine tasting rooms, and more would be a few of the adventures that I would encounter in the Village in the Forest by the Sea.
What type of person does Carmel-by-the-Sea in the Fall appeal to for a Fall break? Just about anyone trying to find respite from the chaos of everyday life, beach-lovers, foodies, and oenophiles. The shopping and wine tasting rooms make this destination perfect for a girls weekend or a romantic weekend with your partner. Similarly, Carmel is a perfect destination for the solo-traveler, like me, that is independent, adventurous, loves to shop, and finds enjoyment in exploring California’s Cuisine and Wine.

The laid-back town of Carmel
The town of Carmel is a town that you will pass through on the 17-mile sightseeing road. The atmosphere of the town is very quiet. Looking at the buildings around you, it is like walking into a fairy tale. It is recommended to stay here for two hours. Above! #parent-childgoodplace

There are always many unexpected encounters in California, and Carmel is my favorite seaside literary town. She is located about two miles south of seventeen miles and about two hours drive from San Francisco. Most of the early residents here were artists, and there were no famous attractions in the town. The houses on both sides of the quiet streets all revealed the literary atmosphere. Bohemian architecture, retro town style, slow down time, here is the artist's paradise, the perfect blend of nature and art. There is a restaurant on the edge of the town, where laid-back people enjoy lazy afternoon tea.
Because I loved it too much, I decided to stay at the beach here to watch the sunset. I did not expect to meet the most beautiful sea in this trip. The sea is blue and the rising waves are crystal clear in the sun.

Carmel Township on the 1st Highway (Halloween Theme)
1 is the famous motorway on the US West Coast. The bohemian town of Carmel is on this road, which is a rest stop. It is also a famous sightseeing spot. I recommend the townhouse red restaurant treehouse cafe lunch, very popular. Its almost Halloween, and the villas are starting to dress up, and the festive atmosphere is very rich. In addition to the luxury homes, there is plenty of time to visit the church in the center of the town. The church ticket is 9.50 and the bathroom is only available inside the church. I really like the garden in the church and the long creeper corridor. 17 miles is a private territory, in addition to the beautiful coastline, there are also famous golf courses.

On Highway 1, there is a small town that I particularly like and definitely highly recommend, called Carmel. The charm of
Carmel has completely conquered my various fantasies about the French-style passionate town, and it is also a place I deeply miss!
Into the town, just like the paradise that came to Tao Yuanming's pen. Although there are a lot of tourists, it can't conceal the kind of cozy, isolated, and free atmosphere of the aborigines living here!
The town has a beautiful natural environment, full of elegant art atmosphere, full of villas, restaurants, hotels, shops, galleries. Even if you are unintentional and wandering around, you will find a shop that will surprise you and discover the little things that you can't put down.
Some cartoon-style cottages look as cute as the dwarfs of Snow White.
Each store, every house can see the mind of the owner. If you don't live in the moment, you really think that you have traveled to the old times and you are intoxicated.

Carmel - an artistically rich seaside town on the Monterey Peninsula in the United States. Many unique artists and writers live in this bohemian town full of mountains and seas. This art town is even more A famous holiday resort.
The whole town of Carmel is not too big. A main road, Ocean Avenue, runs from east to west from Highway 1 through the town to the beach. Most of the shops and restaurants are on this road. The streets of the entire town are well planned, most of the streets are just south and north, centered on the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Dolores Street, and the 5th and 6th Avenues to the north. In the south, including the 7th and 8th Avenues, the entire area covered by the five or six streets from Junipero Street to Lincoln Street is the central area of Carmels town, which is full of villas and restaurants. , shops, galleries and small hotels, as well as historical sites such as Mission San Carlos Borromo del Ro Carmelo, the former residence of the poet Robinson Jeffers, Tor House and many more.

The town of Carmel may be the town with the highest value on Highway 1, and is a holiday resort that Americans particularly like.
Carmel's small shop window is not very beautiful, and for the town's so many stores, almost all styles can be unified. Although the town is full of colors, it doesn't look like it.
The town has a handicraft shop, local specialty dessert shops, galleries and art shops.
Old Americans like to come here with their own dogs, after all, every day here is pleasing to the eye.

The bohemian town is famous for its centuries-old

Carmel, a fine seaside literary town on the US Monterey Peninsula, located on the famous West Coast of the United States. About seven miles south of the 17 Mile, about two hours drive from San Francisco. Carmel was built in the early 20th century. Although it is less than a hundred years old, it is well-known in the West Coast of the United States. It is a small town full of bohemian flavors and gatherings of artists. 90% of Carmel's early residents were professional artists, including famous writer and actor Perry Newberry and famous actor and director Clint Eastwood, who served as mayor of Carmel.
Ocean channel
Carmel, a town full of Mediterranean flair. The main road in the town is Ocean Ave, and most of the shops and restaurants are on this road. It also has a feature that there is no house number, and the name can only be distinguished by the name of the intersection of road and road. There are free maps, travel guides and local newspapers on the roadside. Carmel itself has no specific attractions, mainly on the Ocean Ave, to feel the style of the town. It is recommended that friends who drive by themselves can stay here for one night if they have time, and then spend a long time to experience the town life.

The town of Carmel is located about two miles south of the 17 Mile, a famous tourist attraction on the west coast of the United States. We drove from San Francisco to the literary town about two hours along California Highway 1. The feeling of
1 road has always been a spectacular natural scenery, the sea is perfectly integrated with mountains and forests, and the town of Carmel is like a paradise. Many unique artists and writers live in this small, bohemian city with mountains and seas, neat streets and distinctive houses, almost every home has its own small garden, scenery Beautiful as a fairy tale. There are also a variety of fashion stores, antique shops, candy stores, galleries, and toy stores.
After the town's main street, Ocean Avenue, to the west, it is the Carmel Beach, which has a unique beach on the 17th.
You don't need tickets to enter the town. If you have enough time to drive in the town for two days, feel the comfortable life.

After the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, some artists, writers, and musicians moved to this quiet town by the sea. Over time, it has gradually developed into a gathering place for American artists. Some star tycoons also choose to live here. . Most of the residents in the town are professional artists now, as long as you walk on the streets of Carmel, you can feel the strong artistic atmosphere. Most of the small shops in the town are galleries, artisan shops, designer clothing stores. But whether it is selling art or ordinary restaurants, the decoration style and display of each store are carefully designed. If you don't have time to open a door and walk in, then walk the street and taste the beautiful window art. .

The town of Carmel is the most famous and beautiful seaside town on Highway 1. It is recommended that you stay here for at least one night. There are many romantic and welcoming family hotels in the town. The hotel I booked is surrounded by flowers and trees and is very beautiful. On the day of arrival, several white-haired old ladies sipped coffee and chatted at the garden table in front of my room, laughing like young girls, and two docile golden hairs screaming at the side, warm and moving scenes. When I walked past them, an old lady stood up and asked me with a very polite smile. "We are so noisy, will you bother you?" I also smiled and answered her: "No, please enjoy this." Good afternoon. "
Carmel town parking is very convenient, in addition to the hotel parking space, street-lined places can be free to stop, no charge, but to move to the location before 10 am . In the morning, the hotel prepared some simple breakfasts, coffee, juice, bread, jam and fruit. The cloaked hair rushed out of the car and went to the restaurant for breakfast.
Desperado.
Not far from the small town of Carmel, there is a small church that sees the famous European cathedrals. This small church is not so beautiful and magnificent, but the flowers are very warm and the details are very delicate. If you are in Carmel, you may wish to take a look at it and the tickets are not expensive. It is worth a visit.

Its time to update a window of Christmas
Photographed in Carmel Township on Highway 1
This is full of galleries, craft shops, antique shops and fine family hotels. Surrounded by flowers, blue sea and blue sky. The people in the town are simple and peaceful, walking down the street, full of happiness. Going west along the towns main street, Ocean Avenue, is the Carmel Beach, which has a unique beach on the Thirteen Miles waterfront. The little squirrels, the ancient cypress trees, and the soft white sand beaches that sneak across the road form a seventeen-mile fascinating picture.
