This isn't Xinjiang! It's Shanghai!!
📍Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden (There are opening and closing times and tickets~)
The weather is perfect for a stroll through the botanical garden.
This botanical garden is super beautiful, but it's a bit big, which is a bit tiring for someone like me who has no stamina.
But there are so many scenic spots that I can't stop taking photos!! And they all have a great atmosphere!
I've always wanted to go to Xinjiang to take photos of this haystack, but I never had the chance to go, and I didn't expect to find it here! What a surprise!

A Sea of Flowers Like Poetry: Wandering Through the Spring Memories of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden
Stepping into Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden feels like entering a fairyland adorned with blooming flowers. The warm and gentle spring sunlight reflects off the colorful sea of flowers, making each bloom appear exceptionally vibrant. Various flowers bloom in succession, from delicate cherry blossoms to elegant tulips, swaying gently in the breeze and emitting a subtle fragrance that is intoxicating.
I wandered leisurely along the flower-lined paths, bending down to closely observe the posture of each flower, marveling at their beauty and vitality. In the distance, the lake and mountain scenery complement each other, adding a layer of tranquility to the sea of flowers. Visitors, in small groups, either take photos in front of the flowers or rest on the grass, with laughter and floral scents intertwining, filling the entire garden with vitality.
Every step here is full of surprises, making it hard to leave. The sea of flowers in Chenshan Botanical Garden is not only a gift from nature but also a dream meticulously woven by spring for people.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden: Magnolia and Cherry Blossom Festival
I visited Shanghai's Chenshan Botanical Garden in March, where a row of magnolia trees was planted right at the entrance. It was the blooming season, and the flowers complemented the river's bay scenery beautifully! The first thing I saw upon entering the garden was a relatively short cherry blossom tree, which allowed for close-up photos with the cherry blossoms without the need for a ladder📷. We could spend nearly an hour admiring just one cherry blossom tree, and it was hard to leave!
Garden Transportation: There are golf carts available in the park for only 5 yuan per person
Passengers must get off at the terminal stations (A, B). The route arrangements are as follows:
A line: Starting from Gate 1 Comprehensive Building — Children's Botanical Garden Station — Quarry Garden Station — Rock Garden Station — Exhibition Greenhouse Terminal Station
B line: Exhibition Greenhouse Station — East China Area Garden Station — Aquatic Plant Garden Station — Gate 1 Comprehensive Building Terminal Station.
Starting from the end of February, the cherry blossom avenue in Chenshan Botanical Garden begins to bloom, featuring varieties such as the cold-resistant cherry, Kawazu cherry, and Somei Yoshino cherry.
Entering from Gate No.1 and turning right, there is a large area of cherry blossoms, with the early blooming pale pink blossoms being exceptionally beautiful. Whether at the entrance or walking further in, the place is crowded everywhere, making it difficult to find a cherry tree without people around. It is recommended to take close-up shots of the splendid cherry blossoms for particularly good photos.
🌟Ticket Price: 60RMB (very worthwhile)
Subway and Bus:
1. Take the Subway Line 9 to "Dongjing" station, exit from Exit 3, and then take the Songjiang No.19 bus from "Dongjing Subway Station" to "Chenshan Botanical Garden" stop for Gate No.1, or to "Chenta Road Shetiankun Highway (Chenshan Botanical Garden West Gate)" stop for Gate No.3.
2. Take the Subway Line 9 to "Dongjing" station, exit from Exit 3, and then take the Songjiang No.19 bus interval to "Chenshan Botanical Garden" stop for Gate No.1, or to "Shenzhuan Highway Shetiankun Highway" stop for Gate No.2, or to "Chenta Road Shetiankun Highway (Chenshan Botanical Garden West Gate)" stop for Gate No.3.

This weekend, experience the joy of having an entire Yoshino cherry blossom forest to yourself
🌈The most important thing in spring is, of course, cherry blossom viewing🌈
📍It's undeniable that at the end of March, the Chenshan Botanical Garden is the ultimate cherry blossom viewing spot in the magic city!
🔸In the morning, there are few people in the vast cherry blossom forest, and the blooming cherry blossoms are like pink clouds, filling the entire sky, a sight too beautiful for words😍.
🔸From mid to early March, different varieties of cherry blossoms begin to bloom one after another, with the most beautiful being the Yoshino cherry blossoms of Nakazakura. The cherry blossom season in the park lasts a long time, and by early April, you can generally see cherry blossoms at different stages of their bloom.
📸Photo tips:
👗Outfit: Light-colored clothes will make your photos stand out!
Props: Avoid having empty hands, only doing the ✌️ sign? Remember to bring some photography props, such as balloons, cameras, books, straw bags, etc.
🤳Photo angles: You can take close-up shots when there are fewer people, and also capture large scenes.
🏷Note:
👉To avoid the peak of the crowds, it is recommended to enter the garden between 8 am and 9:30 am. During this time, there are fewer people, and you can capture the feeling of having the cherry blossom avenue all to yourself.

I would like to call it the cherry blossom ceiling of Shanghai - Chenshan Botanical Garden
Although there are many places to enjoy cherry blossoms in Shanghai, the cherry blossom forest in Chenshan Botanical Garden will definitely amaze you. The sloping lawn with the color-healing white cherry blossoms is full of the gentleness of spring, and such a movie-like scene is unique in Shanghai.
Shooting location: Right side of Gate No.1
On the right hand side is the Cherry Blossom Avenue, which are all slopes with a certain degree of inclination, very 'Chenshan', and it is still a tool to avoid people when there are many people. Going inside, there is a cherry blossom station near the aquatic plant garden. There is also a small cherry blossom forest near the station, next to the park wall on the side of Chenhua Road. There are fewer people here, but the ground is relatively flat.
Near Gate No.1, there is also a cement white wall where you can sit on it, and you are surrounded by cherry blossoms.

It's just like the place in Hayao Miyazaki's anime
Chenshan Botanical Garden!!
Regret that I found this place so late
It's so beautiful! It's just like the place in Hayao Miyazaki's anime
And the landscape is well arranged
The park is very modern, not like the traditional kind of park
There is some design in it
And it doesn't restrict visitors at all
The scenery is super beautiful (autumn leaves are colorful 😍)
🎫The ticket is sixty yuan per person (worth it!!)
Time: close at five
It's a bit unfinished for one time, the park is very big!

Chenshan Botanical Gardens is a little further out of Shanghai’s main city centre but worth a trip to see it.
Tickets cost 60RMB for a whole day entry and the area is huge.
Picnic set up is recommended in this area as it’s calm and quiet with some locals flocking to pitch tents in the summer heat.
Visit each flower area and finish off with a trip through the enclosed ‘tropical’ forest.

Don't miss the cherry blossoms in Tatsuyama this year! Tatsuyama has a huge area of cherry blossoms,
It's spectacular. Don't miss it.☺️
📍No.3888 Chenhua Road, Songjiang District, Gate 1 of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden
⏰Bloom time: the end of February early March weekend to go, must be early!
🌸Cherry Blossom tips:
1. Early sakura is divided into Kakotsu Sakura and dye well Yoshino, Kakotsu Sakura is generally earlier than dye well Yoshino for a period of time.
2. In the picture, the front is Yoshino dyeing, and the back is divided into Kawatsu Sakura.
3. The Sakura Path of Chenshan Botanical Garden is very long. Turn right when you enter Gate 1, walk along the side of the road, and you will see the bus stop at the end.
4. The bus station is very Japanese style, suitable for shooting with telephoto lens
Hope you can take pictures of the beautiful cherry blossoms too!🥰

🌷Blooming tulips brighten up
📍At Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, elegant tulips of various colors are in full bloom, making a dramatic impression.
🌷In the garden, many types of spring flowers compete for beauty and attraction, but tulips stand out for the ocean of color they create and the way they are planted.
🖼️This year, 48 tulip varieties are on display, an increase of seven varieties compared with that in 2021. Mixed-color planting and interplanting methods were utilized in addition to standard single-color planting methods to produce a colorful and multi-layer landscape. Tulips can be seen in the garden's flower borders and the Chenshan Impression Flower Bed.
💐The layout of tulips at the Chenshan Impression Flower Bed, which is located near the Green Theater at Gate II, is based on a giant leaf figure and coupled with the undulating terrain. Beautiful and colorful patterns were created in the garden with eight varieties of tulips in red, pink, yellow, orange and other colors. The area was once a popular place for tourists to take pictures.
📍Tulips can also be found in the square outside Gate I, along the line from Gate I's battery station to the Children's Garden Station, along the main tour line's flower borders, and near the Bamboo Garden's flower border.

Shanghai Getaway: Flower Power
🌸 When we hear "Botanical garden", we usually think about some boring garden with flowers and stuff. But Chengshan one is not the same. You totally have to go there! And here are some reasons:
🌸 It is modern. You saw that alien like building on the first pic? This is a green house. The line of those look even more impressive in real life.
🌸 It is HUGE. It has mountings to climb, loans to lie down, forests to wonder in, lakes to watch and even more.
🌸 It has way more apart of plants: several areas with playgrounds for kids that look like a pirate ship or deserts full of sand.
🌸 Orchid greenhouse with... dinosaurs! Yes, while you are walking around amazing orchids and trying to pick up your jaw from the ground, you can notice some very well done motion dinosaurs. So cool!
🌸 Getting there is not that hard if you have a car, if bot, still can get there taking subway line 9 and intercanging to Songjiang 96 bus. 7 stops and you are there.

The "Sillow Water Lily World" Goddess 2019 Water Lily Exhibition is being held at the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden. This year's Water Lily Exhibition has seven exhibition areas, and more than 300 varieties are on display, which is very worth seeing! In particular, this year's special feature is that the Botanical Garden's own innovative "Lyqin" purple water lily variety is very amazing. The yellow scattering flower buds and the thick flower stalks combine the charm of "Goddess" and "female man", which is one of the best.
If you like Monet's water lily series, you can feel a high degree of reduction here, and a quiet world of water lily is enough to make people think. There are also many beautiful black swan in the lake, which brings a lot of vitality to the world of water lily.
I suggest you not to watch the water lily too early or too late, because the opening of the water lily is more willful, too early and too late to appreciate its fully open state, it must be just right!
If you missed this year's water lily exhibition, it doesn't matter. There are many other beautiful plants in the botanical garden for viewing. For example, the net red powder will soon mature, and the National Day can be considered to play in the botanical garden.

Not Altay, but the lonely and romantic tree in Chenshan Botanical Garden.
It's not that Altay is unaffordable, but that Chenshan Botanical Garden is more cost-effective. The grass in Chenshan Botanical Garden is so beautiful, and the lonely tree is even more beautiful. The beautiful grass slope and the blue sky and white clouds make you feel like you are in a comic world. It's very artistic and fresh, and very photogenic.
Photo tips:
1. It is recommended to go after 4 pm on a sunny day, when the light is softer. If there is wind, the fluttering clothes will interact well with the tree.
2. The photographer should take a low-angle shot from the bottom of the slope, avoiding the power lines behind, and leave enough space for the sky. The model should stand or sit by the tree, and the lonely story will be easy to capture.
Specific location:
"Lonely Tree" is on the left after entering Gate 1. Keep walking, and you will see a row of "Lonely Trees." If there are many people on the left slope, go to the right slope. There are trees on both slopes. Take a photo from the bottom of the slope, and the background will only be trees and the sky (there are planes in the sky from time to time, which adds to the feeling).

Chenshan Botanical Garden is stunning in autumn! Kochia, flower walls, and autumn leaves.
Back to my happy place, Chenshan Botanical Garden, which is still stunning in autumn! Let's take a look at the recent changes and highlights of Chenshan Botanical Garden.
1️⃣ Colorful Kochia (near Gate 3) The Kochia in this season is already colorful. Although the Kochia in Chenshan Botanical Garden is not particularly large, it is rich in color, and there are small paths that you can walk through. It's definitely a great place for photos. 📷
2️⃣ Various flower walls (Gate 2 recommended) It is said that there are flower walls in spring. In fact, the autumn flower walls in Chenshan are just as beautiful, combined with corridors, making it a great place for photos.
3️⃣ First Seed Exhibition (near the greenhouse exhibition hall) This is the first time that Chenshan has held an exhibition with seeds as the theme. Many kinds of seeds are displayed, and it is very educational. Don't miss it if you like it.
4️⃣ Collecting autumn (not cutting autumn) The plant diversity of Chenshan Botanical Garden is beyond doubt. You can collect all kinds of fallen leaves 🍂 and plant seeds 🌰 here. There are also fruits like crabapples and small persimmons 🍇.
5️⃣ Sunset 🌅 The sunset time is earlier now, and you can see the sunset by the lake at 5 pm. It's very beautiful, so don't miss it!
In conclusion, the weather has been great recently. It's the best weather before winter comes, so hurry up and go to Chenshan Botanical Garden to enjoy the autumn scenery. You can also check out their first seed exhibition.
That's all for today. Follow me, and let's explore new destinations together!

Chenshan Botanical Garden: Enjoy a colorful autumn.
🍁 Autumn at Chenshan Botanical Garden is a riot of color. 🎉
💕 Hairawn muhly and kochia are in full bloom, like clouds of pink and red. 😎
🍁 The leaves are also competing for attention, with greens, yellows, and reds like a spilled palette. 🎨
🌻 Sunflowers bloom energetically, full of life.
💃 As you walk, you can find all kinds of fruits, like little surprises from autumn. 🎁
🤗 There are also sage, pampas grass, millet, and miscanthus, swaying in the wind like they're dancing. 🕺
🎈 Plant locations: Hairawn muhly and kochia are concentrated near Gate 3, but autumn plants are everywhere in the park, like little treasures waiting to be discovered.
🎈 Suggested route:
💁 We recommend entering through Gate 1, then turning left and walking clockwise. On the left is a large grassy slope, perfect for grass sledding. It feels like flying! 😜
💁 Next is the children's playground, with a small zoo, climbing nets, and a pirate ship. Kids will have a blast.
💁 Then you'll reach the sea of flowers near Gate 3, breathtakingly beautiful. 💁 You can also climb Chenshan or visit the Quarry Garden. Don't miss the Rock Garden.
💁 Near Gate 2, the three greenhouses are full of tropical plants, like a rainforest.
💁 Finally, the Water Garden still has blooming lotuses. Surprises are everywhere! 🤩
🚙 Chenshan Botanical Garden has three parking lots, one for each gate, with a daily cap of CNY 20. The parking lots are right next to the gates, very convenient!

Turn towards the sun - Chenshan Botanical Garden.
Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, located on Chenhua Road, Songjiang District, is a comprehensive botanical garden integrating scientific research, popular science and sightseeing.
The botanical garden covers a large area and has a rich and diverse variety of plants, including a mine garden, an exhibition greenhouse, a rose garden and many other characteristic gardens. The garden has a elegant environment and flowers bloom all year round, making it a good place for citizens to relax and entertain and get close to nature.
I like the exhibition greenhouse the most. It is the area with the most diverse plant species and the most concentrated display in Chenshan Botanical Garden. It is composed of three single greenhouses, the Tropical Flower and Fruit Hall, the Psammophyte Hall and the Rare Plant Hall, with a total area of 12,608 square meters. It collects rare plants from all over the world, including tropical rainforest plants, psammophytes and strange types of plants that show the survival and evolution of plants, such as carnivorous plants, cycads, ferns, orchids and pineapples. The exhibition greenhouse not only provides visitors with a window to appreciate the diversity of plants, but also is an important base for plant scientific research and popular science education.
