China Aviation Museum
✈️The China Aviation Museum is the first large-scale aviation museum open to the public in China. It is the only aviation museum in China, the largest in Asia, and one of the top five aviation museums in the world. It is a "window" into China's national, military, and defense science and technology industries, and a spiritual and cultural soul altar of the heroic spirit of the People's Air Force. The museum covers an area of 720,000 square meters and houses more than 300 aircraft of over 130 types, as well as more than 15,300 pieces of air force weapons and equipment, including surface-to-air missiles, anti-aircraft guns, and radars. The museum is divided into two main areas: an outdoor exhibition area and an indoor exhibition area. The outdoor exhibition area mainly features various aircraft and weapon exhibition areas, a hero memorial wall, a hero avenue, a main sculpture of a sword, an inscription wall, and an artificial lake. The indoor exhibition area mainly includes a comprehensive exhibition hall and a cave exhibition hall.
🛣The museum is located at the foot of Datang Mountain in Changping District, Beijing. After years of forestation, the natural vegetation is dense, and the green area covers 450,000 square meters. The museum was built in 1986 and officially opened to the public in November 1989. After 30 years of construction, it has collected 331 aircraft of 144 types.
🛩The China Aviation Museum is one of the first national first-class museums, a patriotic education base, one of the first national defense education demonstration bases and science popularization education bases, and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. It is a large-scale aviation museum that integrates knowledge, education, science and technology, research, gardening, and tourism.

📝Tips: There are not many people, and it is a very educational museum. I have been here many times over the past 20 years, from visiting with my school, to driving here myself, to now bringing my children. There have not been many changes, except that the hangar in the cave has been closed for many years. Recently, I heard that the aviation museum is going to move to Changchun, but I don't know if it's true. I haven't found an official notice yet. I hope it doesn't move, because this is a place that people in Changping have been visiting since childhood.
