The secret Peach Blossom Pool in the North Fifth Ring is perfect except for one flaw: it's exclusive to Beijing.
The Peach Blossom Valley, directly accessible by the Metro Xijiao Line, is truly breathtakingly beautiful🌸
The babbling streams and the pink peach forests that look like mist and rosy clouds
The clear sunlight filters through the treetops, casting reflections on the moss-covered gray stones
The pink and white flowering trees exude the spirit and beauty of spring under the light

Strolling along the riverside of the Peach Blossom Stream, the babbling water is like music to the ears
Visions of ancient people appear before your eyes, everything is like a fairyland in an ancient painting
It's hard to believe such beauty exists in Beijing, and the ticket is only 5 yuan
While everyone is crowding at the Zhizhu Temple to see the pear blossoms, why not come here!

I just love this park near the fragrant hills mountains and during autumn it is definitely a must visit. The change of colors in this spectacular season is just stunning and this is one of my definitely favorites in Beijing.
🚇 During this popular season to come to this area it can be extremely crowded so I do recommend coming by the subway, there is a stop just by the main gate.
💰5 Rmb for entrance and 50 Rmb more if you want to enter the greenhouse and the Wufu temple.

Spring Dream in the Sea of Flowers: The Splendid Tulips of Beijing National Botanical Garden
The warm spring sun gently falls on the Beijing National Botanical Garden, with the fragrance of flowers lingering in the breeze, as if one is in a serene spring painting. Upon entering the garden, the first sight is a spectacular sea of tulips. Red, yellow, purple, and pink flowers bloom in competition, their colors as vivid as a painting. Each tulip stands tall and straight, with petals slightly shimmering in the sunlight, appearing particularly soft and lively.
I wander casually among the tulips, feeling surrounded by this splendid sea of flowers, as if instantly transported into a dream. Among them, the gentle rustling of flower branches in the wind whispers the heartbeat of spring. Not far away, bees and butterflies also come, adorning this vibrant flower field and adding a touch of lively beauty. The spring in Beijing National Botanical Garden makes one forget the hustle and bustle, intoxicated by the tenderness and romance of the sea of flowers, leaving a leisurely memory deep in the heart.

The ultimate chrysanthemum experience in autumn.
The 3rd Chrysanthemum Exhibition at the National Botanical Garden is a visual feast! With over 200,000 fresh chrysanthemums, the garden is transformed into a sea of flowers.
On the west side of the Science Museum in the North Garden, chrysanthemums form a sea of flowers covering 8,000 square meters. Chrysanthemums of different colors form various patterns, and the fragrance of flowers fills the air in the sunlight.
In the "Elegant Chrysanthemum" flower border, nearly 50 species of Asteraceae plants bloom in different shapes and colors, with bright colors and full shapes.

Xiangshan is no longer fragrant, so I went to the National Botanical Garden.
The garden is a great place to visit in autumn, with lots of photo opportunities.
What's so special about the National Botanical Garden?
No crowds, no queues for photo spots.
The ginkgo leaves have turned yellow, and the maple leaves have turned red.
Visit on a sunny day, and your phone photos will look like oil paintings.
Have a grilled sausage, and you'll feel great.

Located in Haidian District, Beijing, the National Botanic Garden is the first national botanical garden in China. The total planned area of the park is nearly 600 hectares, which is equivalent to 8 Forbidden Cities. The current open area is about 300 hectares, including the north and south gardens. The National Botanic Garden is an important place for plant ex situ conservation and an important platform for plant science research in China. It is reported that the National Botanic Garden has collected 17,500 species of plants (including species and below), including nearly 1,000 rare and endangered plants, and is a well-deserved national plant diversity conservation demonstration area.
Recently, the third Chrysanthemum Exhibition of the National Botanic Garden is being held in the North Garden of the scenic spot. The theme of this flower show is "Dreaming of Golden Autumn". More than 200,000 fresh flowers, mainly chrysanthemums, are gathered together to dress up the park as a sea of flowers. This flower show mainly includes core exhibition areas, boutique chrysanthemum exhibition areas, colorful flower landscape exhibition areas and other tour areas. Among them, the core exhibition area is located on the west side of the Science Museum in the North Garden. It is a holiday flower sea landscape created by small chrysanthemums with various varieties and rich colors, covering an area of about 8,000 square meters. The flower sea uses red lanterns as the main element, with auspicious clouds and ribbon patterns, forming colorful blocks, symbolizing the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland, and expressing good wishes for the prosperity of the motherland.
On the east side of the core exhibition area, there are also a variety of art chrysanthemum shapes including dragon chrysanthemum, tower chrysanthemum, large chrysanthemum, cliff chrysanthemum, and multi-headed chrysanthemum, as well as a mini children's garden composed of special "childlike plants" such as wolf tail grass, blue basin flower, and African mandala. , Stimulate children's interest in exploring nature. The gardeners control the flowering period to make them bloom in advance during the National Day, and match the roses around the exhibition area. , Create a harmonious landscape where the two city flowers bloom together.
The colorful flower landscape exhibition area is mainly concentrated along the southeast gate to the exhibition greenhouse of the North Garden. Among them, the "Dragon Traveling Dragon" flower landscape located inside the southeast gate is based on cartoon dragon sketches with different shapes, and is matched with white azaleas, North American cypress, leaf flowers and other small shrubs and chrysanthemum plants. Seasonal flowers outline a picture of joy and vitality. At the same time, the 3,000-square-meter flower landscape is decorated on both sides of the garden road, including "Chrysanthemum Fragrance Full Path" and "Elegant Chrysanthemum Condensing Light" and other themed flower landscapes. Among them, "Elegant Chrysanthemum Condensing Light" is a chrysanthemum special plant flower landscape, which displays nearly 50 colorful chrysanthemum plants in a staggered manner. What you imagine the botanical garden mist to be like 🆚 the reality || 📍Location: Beijing, National Botanical Garden North Garden - Cherry Valley
🕘 Mist time: Weekends/Public holidays 9:00-10:00
🎫 Ticket price: North Garden entrance ticket ¥5
🌳 I saw photos of the mist in the Metasequoia forest in the botanical garden a long time ago. It looked so fairy-like and beautiful, evoking a sense of tranquility and remoteness, like retreating into the deep mountains and listening to the echoes in the empty valley.
🌳 Before going, I did see some people mentioning that there were many tourists there, which was a bit disappointing but also expected.
🌳 But only by being there in person can you truly experience the feeling of the crowd. I arrived around nine-thirty, which should be the peak time for visitors.
🌳 In the Cherry Valley area, there is only one boardwalk in the middle that you can walk on (there are small animals like snakes 🐍 below, especially dangerous during the misting, so do not violate the rules and walk off the boardwalk❗). The boardwalk was so crowded that it felt suffocating in the summer heat, and I felt deceived by the online photos.
🌳 Surrounded by the crowd, I had no time or mind to appreciate the scenery. I could only take photos quickly and leave. However, there were still some good spots; at every turn of the boardwalk, you could take relatively wide-angle shots.
🌳 The mist ended at ten o'clock, and the crowd gradually dispersed. Only then did Cherry Valley begin to have the tranquil feeling I initially imagined, making me feel like I could sit there forever.
🌳 Sitting on a bench and flipping through the photos I just took, I suddenly had a different feeling. The Metasequoia forest in the mist was indeed beautiful, and looking back at the experience, it didn't seem so suffocating anymore.
🌳 Reflecting on past travel experiences, there are inevitably moments of crowding, heat, and fatigue... but in retrospect, what remains in memory are more of the beautiful scenery and interesting experiences. The so-called pitfalls and less-than-ideal experiences don't necessarily mean there was no gain. It is precisely because of this that I set out again and again.

Beijing actually has this great place for oxygen-rich summer retreats!
Location: North Garden of the National Botanical Garden · Cherry Valley
Ticket: 5 yuan (North Garden)
Navigation: Southeast Gate of the North Garden of the National Botanical Garden (nearby parking available)
Note: Spray times are around 9~10 am on weekends, no spray at other times
【Recommended Route】: Enter from the Southeast Gate of the North Garden of the National Botanical Garden, you can walk to Cherry Valley, about two to three kilometers, a leisurely 30-minute walk will get you there, not very strenuous
For those with mobility issues or who don't want to get tired, you can take a shuttle bus in the scenic area for 20💰 per person!
We arrived at the gate at around 8 am, strolled and walked to Cherry Valley. We didn't visit other attractions on the way, heading straight for the Cherry Valley Metasequoia forest to avoid missing the spray and to find a good spot for photos early, as the wooden walkway gets too crowded!
On the way back, you can visit other attractions as you like. We went to the Reclining Buddha Temple, the ticket... is also 5💰 per person, there is a shuttle bus at the entrance of the Reclining Buddha Temple, you can take the bus for 20💰 per person, or walk back to the entrance of the scenic area
The scenic area has a great environment with many little squirrels, and Cherry Valley is definitely worth a visit, with clouds and mist like a fairyland, very healing. The large Metasequoia forest also provides shade, so it's not too hot. Go get some oxygen on the weekend if you're free!

Trust in the national-level aesthetic, this rose garden is a real secret wonderland of Beijing Alice
🌸 In May, Beijing is accompanied by the competing beauty of various roses, with many popular spots that dazzle the eyes. I continue to recommend places suitable for taking photos and enjoying flowers. Go to the rose garden in the North Garden of the National Botanical Garden, you can't go wrong.
💚 This place has a long history of flower appreciation, covering an area of 7 hectares, divided into several areas, with a total display of more than 1,000 varieties and over 50,000 plants, ranking high among Beijing's parks.
🌅 Early summer is already very hot, so it's very pleasant to come here in the evening to enjoy the coolness and take photos with the ladies. The initial impression was not deep, but as you walk, you really get to the sea of flowers. It looks like 360 degrees of various roses in full bloom, with elegant postures and fragrant aromas. Walking among them is so captivating that you can't bear to leave. Not only are there many roses here, but the arrangement also has its characteristics, with a strong sense of hierarchy, truly a visual experience.
🌈 About the time: The flowering period of roses is longer than other flowers, and it is estimated to last until the end of this month, but it's hard to say if there is heavy rain.
⏰ About the moment: Don't go around noon, it's too sunny and hot, and the light is not good. It's better to maintain early in the morning or in the evening.
🚻 Suggested best tour route: The rose garden is very large and easy to find. Just to the left of the southeast gate of the park, you can go around. The flower rack at the entrance is very small and independent rose garden, and the flower square is a must-visit spot with denser and richer colors.
❤ Which scenes are worth seeing? Basically, it's a layered sea of flowers, interspersed with green grass and paths, it's best to walk and stop to enjoy the flowers and take photos.
🏠 Which facilities are worth noting? There are not many facilities in the park's rose garden, only the most basic, so food and drinks need to be prepared in advance.
📷 How to take beautiful portrait photos: The flowers are very dense, just need to adjust the camera angle, relatively speaking, a 70-200mm lens may offer more freedom in shooting.
🚗 How to get there? Transportation is very convenient, you can drive yourself or take the light rail train on the Western Suburbs Line.
☎ How to buy tickets and make reservations? Just buy tickets at the entrance, the park's annual pass is valid.
🔥 Must-see TIPS before checking in:
1. Wear solid color clothes for portrait photography.
2. Be aware that the flowers can be prickly.
3. Insect protection.
Specific location: Inside the North Garden of the National Botanical Garden, Rose Garden
Opening hours: Same as the park's opening hours
Type of visit: City citywalk, flower appreciation, portrait photography

Cherry Valley
The Cherry Valley in the National Botanical Garden is named for its natural abundance of wild cherry trees, also known as Tui Valley, Water Source Head, Zhou Family Garden, etc. Within the National Botanical Garden, it is considered a cool valley in summer. The area is particularly notable for its perfect blend of natural and artificial plant communities, the babbling brook, and the coexistence of a variety of flora and fauna, especially the precious metasequoia trees that enhance the beauty of Cherry Valley.

What is it like to be surrounded by these flowers
I visit the National Botanical Garden every year to enjoy the roses and peonies, and this year marks the third year. Last year's visit was on May 11th, and this year's flowers have bloomed on schedule as well. The National Botanical Garden has never disappointed me every time I visit!
There are rose gardens in both the south and north gardens; the south garden's rose garden is in front of the greenhouse, while the north garden's is on the left side upon entering the main gate. Just go through the rose archway to find it. The north garden is larger, but the south garden is more exquisite!
The peonies in the south garden are next to the rose garden, while those in the north garden are in the peony garden. The peonies in the north garden are more numerous and in better condition!
Currently, both the roses and peonies are in their prime viewing period, and today there are not many visitors, especially in the south garden, where the experience is excellent!
The ticket for the south garden + north garden is 10 yuan, while a separate ticket for the north garden is 5 yuan. Remember, the south garden does not sell tickets separately! Those who want to visit the south garden must buy the joint ticket for both gardens! The Beijing Park Annual Pass is only valid in the north garden and not in the south garden. Business hours:
South Garden admission time: 8:00-17:00 (peak season) North Garden admission time: 6:00-20:00 (peak season)
If you plan to visit both the south and north gardens, I recommend visiting the south garden first!

The National Botanical Garden (formerly Beijing Botanical Garden) sure is a blooming wonder! With an 8,000 square meter exhibition area and over a hundred varieties of tulips, clusters of brilliantly colored flowers sway and gather, forming a vibrant ocean. This is the most splendid field of flowers I have seen this spring.

At the Beijing Botanical Garden, the tulip sea is so beautiful it leaves you speechless
Before seeing the tulip sea at the botanical garden,
when asked where the best tulips in Beijing are,
I would undoubtedly say Zhongshan Park.
But when you actually see the vast expanses of colorful tulips
blooming at the foot of the Western Hills,
you realize that spring at the National Botanical Garden is next level.
National Botanical Garden Tulips:
Covering an area of nearly 8,000 square meters, the exhibition features over a hundred varieties and more than 200,000 tulip plants, with a large area, concentrated planting, and well-matched colors.
You can capture the distant Western Hills and tulips, blooming under the red peach trees, with a viewing platform to overlook the sea of flowers, but it's crowded, so you can take portraits on the edge.
It's a bit far, and you need to queue for the Western Suburb Line. There are many other flowers in the botanical garden, and you can picnic nearby, with many parks around also full of the spirit of spring.
Address: Tulip Garden, North Garden of the National Botanical Garden
📸 Shooting Date: 2024.04.16
Transportation: Get off at the National Botanical Garden station on the Western Suburb Line of the subway, or transfer to bus 563 at Beigongmen station on Line 4.

The National Botanical Garden's Wansheng Garden
The National Botanical Garden's Wansheng Garden (Ornamental Plant Greenhouse) opened on January 1, 2000, with an exhibition area of 6,500 square meters. The greenhouse is home to over 3,000 species (including varieties) of ornamental plants originating from tropical and subtropical regions, totaling more than 60,000 plants. The exhibition room is divided into areas such as the Tropical Rainforest Room, Desert Plant Room, Orchid and Carnivorous Plant Room, and the Four Seasons Garden.
Wansheng Garden is actually the exhibition greenhouse of the North Garden. Wansheng Garden is divided into four main exhibition areas: the Tropical Rainforest Area, Desert Plant Area, Four Seasons Garden Area, and the Special Plant Exhibition Room, covering an exhibition area of 6,500 square meters. Here, you can see many exotic flowers and plants that are usually found in the south or even in tropical rainforests. Additionally, there was an announcement that there would be an orchid exhibition on the 14th and 15th of the first lunar month, but fearing the crowds on those days, I decided to visit today to avoid the peak. However, upon entering Wansheng Garden, I found that there weren't many orchids. When I asked the staff, they replied that the orchid exhibition was only on the 14th and 15th of the first lunar month and has already been dismantled. Although there were no orchids, the scenery inside the greenhouse was still quite impressive.

The gentle shadows and clear waters here offer a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Among the attractions are the 'Pinhong' and 'Pinxia' peach varieties, developed independently by the National Botanical Garden, which will be in full bloom in early April. These peach varieties are beloved by visitors for their dense and vibrant flowers, adding a splash of color along the Southeast Gate to the Science Pavilion.
The tall and majestic White Flower Mountain Magnolias and the delicate pink Liao Mei Mountain Apricots form a peach blossom corridor, where every step offers a new breathtaking view, showcasing the beauty of spring.
The magnolias in the Magnolia Garden are tall and elegant, with abundant flowers 🌸 that stand gracefully on the branches. From late March to early April, these magnolias, especially the Erqiao Magnolia and the Color-Changing Dragon Magnolia, add to the serene and ancient atmosphere of the garden.
