#familytime We recently took a family city break in Valencia, and it was such a great experience! The blend of history and modern attractions kept all of us entertained. Our first stop was the City of Arts and Sciences, which is a must-visit. For around €8-€10 per person, the kids were amazed by the futuristic architecture and interactive exhibits at the Science Museum. We also spent a day at the Oceanogràfic (€31 for adults, €23 for kids), the largest aquarium in Europe. The underwater tunnels and dolphin show were definitely the highlights! After that, we wandered around the old town, taking in the beauty of the cathedral and the charming streets of El Carmen. Valencia is also perfect for family bike rides. We rented bikes and explored Turia Gardens, a massive green space in the heart of the city, and ended up at the beach for a relaxing afternoon. Back to the future in Valencia 🇪🇸

The City of Art and Sciences was designed by Felix Candela and world famous Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava who was born in Benimamet, Valencia and inaugurated in 1998. Its cost was 1200 millions of Euros. It is the second time I came here and I am still fascinated by the neofuturistic design. The white constructions are a beautiful contrast to the blue sky. When you are tired of the museum relax in one of the restaurants or have a walk in neighboring park. My visit to the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia was a journey into a world of architectural wonder, scientific exploration, and cultural enrichment. This futuristic complex is a true gem of modern Spain. Exploring the various components of the City of Arts and Sciences was an adventure in itself. The Oceanografic, Europe's largest aquarium, was a fascinating journey into marine life. The interactive exhibits at the Science Museum made learning fun. One afternoon in Valencia’s futuristic city

If you visit 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 this is certainly one of the places you should not miss‼️ 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 has many highlight when it comes to architecture, and if 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗮 got 𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪 𝘎𝘢𝘶𝘥í, 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 has 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘰 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘢. The architect, born in 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 in 1951, is the creative mind behind one of the most photographed buildings here, the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. 🗓This project opened in 1998, but construction still continued up until 2005 when the last of its buildings was complete. The several constructions in this area have different purposes: - 𝙃𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘: this eye-shaped building is used as a IMAX Cinema 🍿 - 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙪𝙢: the longest of the building in this complex is a museum devoted to communicate and teach about sciences 🧬 - 𝙐𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙚: this is a garden paralel to the museum where one can find many species of local trees and plants 🌴 - 𝙊𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘: this is the largest aquarium in Europe 🦈 - 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙛𝙞𝙖 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚: It hosts the Opera Theatre of Valencia and is devoted to arts and music 🎭 - 𝘼𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙖: this is the latest project to get a purpose, when it was open this same year, 2022, as a 𝘊𝘢𝘪𝘹𝘢𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘮, a project of the Spanish financial entity "𝘓𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘪𝘹𝘢" that hosts different exhibitions and that we got to visit inside 🖼 👉Definitely you would need one whole day to visit the entire complex, but many people come here to enjoy the views from the outside, to chill sitting by the water lakes 💦 and dipping the feet inside the water, or even there is the possibility to rent a transparent bottom kayak 🛶 or paddel surf board to move around the man-made lake in front of the buildings. Certainly a place for kids and adults to enjoy a good time while in 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 and admire the magnificent architecture and creativity of the buildings around. Take your time time to stroll around and enjoy the view peacefully and slowly. 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗶𝗽: get into the Agora building - recently open in 2022 as a 𝘊𝘢𝘪𝘹𝘢𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘮, entrance is free of charge 🎟- you would only need to pay if you wish to visit any of the exhibition they have - and you will get to enjoy a fantastic view of the building from inside. This popular place in Valencia is the most beautiful combination of art and science I have ever seen. Opera House; Palau de les Arts. This is the venue to see musical performances such as concerts, operas, ballets and zarzuela. Hemisferic: a digital 3D cinema screened daily of the educational documentary. Science Musuem: the shape of the building is like a shark skeleton, With the philosophy "Not touching is prohibited". The Science Museum offers different interactive exhibitions about science and technology. Agora: venue hosting a wide and variety events in Valencia. Umbracle: open garden in Mediterranean style, the park has a beautiful collection of contemporary sculptures, what attracted to me is the orange trees along the walking path in the middle of the park. The feeling that the city of Valencia gives me is difficult to describe in words. It can be said that there are some contradictions, but it is harmonious in the depths of the soul. #myhiddengems Valencia has quickly become one of my kost favourite places in Europe. It is a wonderful city to visit. In addition to the many, many moderniste buildings and super well-lighted streets for evening strolls, the Valencians have converted the former Turia River bed into a sprawling series of parks, bikes paths and playing fields, culminating in the ultra modern civic buildings by Calatrava. A visit is one of the best things to do in Valencia because here you can expect plenty of interesting highlights. The building complex is located on the edge of the green Turia Park, and the building inspires especially for its futuristic backdrop. Plenty to do with great weather here. We stayed at a place called Riba-Roja just outside the main city which has great architectural buildings. For beaches to compliment the weather you can visit the old town and go to Malvarossa beach which is packed with people at night. I personally felt very comfortable in Valencia. The city is not filled with masses of tourists as many other cities in Spain often are. That means that the original nature of the city and Spain too can be seen and felt even better. The vivid old city is filled with incredible and beautiful little buildings, shops and restaurants. In the more modern part of the city buildings are bigger and generally very good looking. The science museum in the southeastern end of the park that traverses the whole center of the city is an example of a very modern and futuristic style. So you can easily find something to every taste. There are nearly endless opportunities for shopping in the center and the old city with numerous great restaurants is only a short distance away. Actually there’s also a nice beach at the Mediterranean coast, so even beach life is possible there. It’s a little further away than walking distance from the center but very easily accessible using taxi, rental car or even public transportation. I will surely go again one day. It’s definitely one of the cities where I could consider living too.

#tripaway . Very interesting. It is located towards the southern end of the Jardines del Turia. It is famous for its architecture by Santiago Calatrava, himself a Valencian. It consists of the Palau des Artes, Hemisferic, Palau des Ciencias and the Agora.
