Getting There - Cradle Mountain National Park Tasmania Australia
Attractions - Hiking and tourist centre
Hotels - several available nearby
Lots of walking track options to meet all fitness levels. We walked around the lake just a shame the cloud were not on our side. The cradle was not visible for most of the hike but the rest of the scenery was stunning.

Cradle Mountain - Dove Lake Circuit
A Trip is not complete is Tasmania if you do not drop by Cradle Mountain.
Cradle Mountain is popular due to its synonymous with nature, wilderness and all things pristine. It is like a place out of a picture, with abundance in this spectacular national park giving opportunities to encounter many wild life, which we encounter an Echidna. Such adorable but shy little creature. It is also filled with many lookouts and hikes from amateur to professionals.
Dove Lake Circuit is one of Tasmania's premier nature walk and was a relatively easy hike and took us about 2hours to complete, minus the photo taking and such. The total circuit is a 6km loop which a few lookouts. The walk is easy because there is a man-made broad walk for most of its way and is suitable for elderly and kids.
From the parking lot, you can already see the amazing view of backdrops of mountains but of course parking may be limited, do also check the weather, on the day we went, it started snowing and we all got a bit wet and was chilly as well. It was definitely an amazing hike with such spectacular, breathtaking view at every corner. This is definitely a recommended attraction to go.

Amazing views all around Cradle Mountain!
VIEWS FOR DAYSSSSS
Photos and videos just don't do justice to the beauty of Cradle Mountain. There are a few hiking trails around the mountain, of different difficulty level. I did an 8 hour hike to the summit and then around dove lake. Some bouldering involved at the summit, which was really tough and technical but nothing impossible with some patience and determination :)
Getting to Cradle Mountain is easy by car. There is a shuttle bus that brings visitors to the different start point of the hike trails/ look out points. Be sure that you have a national park pass first to access the mountain.
There are a few hotels/ Airbnbs around Cradle Mountain too. Didn't get to stay at any but would have loved to! #hiking #viewsfordays #mountain #hiketrip #hiketrail
Cradle Mountain National Forest is located in Tasmania, Australia. As early as 35,000 years ago, Tasmanian aborigines explored here. In winter, there are snow-capped mountains and mountains, and there are streams of tumbling waves in summer. A wide variety of wild animals and plants in the forest park are scattered throughout the virgin forest, and it is possible to see the endangered "Tasmanian demon" - the bag. In 2013, Cradle Mountain National Forest Park also established a friendly scenic relationship with Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot in China.
You must buy a ticket to enter Cradle Mountain. The hotel you stay in is the starting point of the Cradle Mountain hiking route, but you must return one kilometer to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Center. The car can drive into the Cradle Mountain Scenic Area, but the staff repeatedly wants to avoid it. Come to the car.
Tickets: Adults are 16.5 Australian dollars and cars are 33 Australian dollars. It is limited to one car and two people, and there is no double charge.
Cradle Mountain has a lot of hiking routes. There is no such thing as a good view and the best. It feels very beautiful. Depending on your physical strength and time, most of them will choose to walk around the lake. The lake is blue and the mountain is snowy. The blue sky and white clouds above the head (when the luck is good), the mountain winds face, I feel really comfortable.
At first I thought it was the treasure bag of the town of Tasmania. Later, I found out that it was not stupid, not afraid of people, and always burying my head to eat, very cute.
Cradle Mountain has become Tasmania's most famous landscape, because there are snow-capped mountains, turbulent waves, and calm lakes.
The 65km long hiking trail can be selected for the Overland Track, which is completed in one week. It is also suitable for a small and small boardwalk.
We looked at the map and selected a hiking route with a slightly higher difficulty factor. From the beginning of the Overland Track, through the desolate alpine mud, along the tumbling waves, up the mountain to the hidden crater lake. Walking alone on the gravel-covered hiking trails is even more ridiculous against the backdrop of dead trees.
At the top of the mountain, I finally saw the famous Pigeon Lake. Not far from the powdery jade, the snow-capped mountains are so fascinating. In fact, looking at the pigeon lake is also a pleasant thing.
Landmark of Tasmania: Cradle Mountain
It's breathtakingly beautiful. Cradle Mountain is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. If you have plenty of time, you must come here for a deep hike
Tasmania Island Tour Day Two Guide
Tasmania Island Tour Day Two Guide: Mural Town - Cradle Mountain Park
We set off from LOW HEAD in the early morning, passing through Mural Town on our way to Cradle Mountain Park. The first half of the journey was scenic and easy to drive, and we arrived at Mural Town in an hour and a half. We didn't specifically look for the painting by Eason Chan here, but just wandered around, enjoying the clean, beautiful and quiet town.
The second half of the journey from Mural Town to Cradle Mountain was difficult, with many winding mountain roads. We drove carefully and arrived at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Center after an hour. We bought a ticket for 60 Australian dollars for everyone in the car, which allows all passengers in the car to visit Tasmania Island National Park within eight weeks. The price is really cost-effective.
After buying the tickets, we took the eco-car and got off at the third stop, Ronny Creek, ready to take the nearest hiking route to Dove Lake. The map introduction said it would take half an hour, but we took the wrong way and walked an extra hour. Along the way, we accidentally entered a path without steps up the mountain, and saw Dove Lake from halfway up the mountain. The scenery was beautiful.
Perfect place for getaway
the air was so fresh and clean. amazing view throughout the walk. tourist friendly place and the staff at Cradle Mountain Visitor Information Center was really lovely and helpful. highly recommended place to visit.

Tasmania
What a majestic mountain and must-see Tasmanian attraction! The temperamental weather makes for many adventure opportunities. Over the years I've seen sunshine, rains, winds, snow and more sweep across Cradle. Always come prepared!

Cradle Mountain
An astonishing experience and a must-see for all adventurous types. Make sure you are in reasonably good shape before embarking on this hike, there are some sections involving chain rope climbs and rock scrambles as you approach the summit.

At noon, we are going to shoot the sunset on Cradle Mountain, but the car is coming out soon, the sky is starting to pour down the snow... This snow has accumulated a thick one in the ground in less than an hour. The layer of snow... It is clearly in the spring and summer, but the surrounding area is suddenly covered with snow. A friend from Australia in the circle of friends said, I feel that I have gone to fake Australia. I have not seen snow in Australia for so many years. In fact, this is probably near Tasmania, and the temperature is lower than that in Melbourne and other places. In addition, we are in the cradle mountain range, the altitude is higher and the natural temperature is lower, the probability of the following snow is even greater. Instantly turns into a white world. Fortunately, this snow has not been down all the time. We found something in the grass walking around the road. We got off and saw that it was a wild wombat! Stupid, stupid, and kangaroos came out.
Cradle Mountain is one of the most famous attractions in Tasmania.
I have been to many places in Australia. There are only snow mountains in Tasmania, so this is the only scenery in Australia.

People's friends are curious. Cradle Mountain will be called Cradle Mountain, because from this point of view it is not like a cradle, but like a pair of breasts. In fact, I also feel the same...
