It is no wonder that it is recommended by 'National Geographic' as the most beautiful island in China, it has shocked me all day long!
Daheshan Island is like an uncarved pearl, emitting a primitive and mysterious light. Here, it is a paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the world, and it is also a miraculous place where nature and history intertwine.
Longzhua Mountain National Geological Park, as the shining pearl on the island, with its cliffs over a thousand meters high, records the story of 800 million years of tidal sedimentation. The spectacle of the open Tianmen Cave is known as the 'geological treasure on the northern coastline of China', and every inch of rock tells the ancient secrets of the Earth!
📍Detailed address:
Daheshan Island, Penglai District, Yantai City, Longzhua Mountain National Geological Park is located at the northern end of the island.
🚗Travel strategy:
Departing from the Penglai Changke Port Terminal in Yantai, take the 'Xunxian 16' ferry for about 1.5 hours of sea voyage to reach Daheshan Island, and you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Miaodao on the way. The journey begins in the early morning mist and ends on the island shore with the sea breeze, a true sailing adventure.
🍲Food recommendation:
How can you not taste a seafood feast when you come to the island? The mouth-watering super-sized hairtail dumplings. The local farmhouse offers farmhouse dishes, allowing you to enjoy the gifts of the sea on your taste buds while staying in a homestay transformed from a seaweed house, with an average consumption of only about 200 yuan per person, which is extremely cost-effective!
🏞️Surrounding attractions recommendation:
- Miaodao: The Miaodao you stop by not only has a strong religious and cultural atmosphere but is also an excellent place to watch birds and learn about Mazu culture.
- Jiuzhang Cliff: The Jiuzhang Cliff adjacent to Changdao is famous for its steep terrain, which contrasts with the Longzhua Mountain of Daheshan Island, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts.
- Seaweed House Village: Explore these characteristic buildings with hundreds of years of history and experience the traditional wisdom of the island residents' lives.
Daheshan Island, a place forgotten by time, yet with its unique charm, attracts every traveler who longs to escape the noise and seek a pure land for the soul!

Trust me! This is the right way to enjoy a niche island.
Forget about the "special forces" style of travel. A two-day off-peak immersive experience is the right way to enjoy a relaxing island getaway. Changdao, Yantai - Daheishan Island is a niche island where you can escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the tranquility.
🚤 Itinerary
- Penglai: Take a ferry from Penglai Passenger Port to Daheishan Island, about 70 minutes.
- Tuowei Beach: A sandbar that appears at low tide, perfect for aerial photography and beachcombing.
- Longzhao Mountain National Geopark: Visit near sunset to enjoy the stunning scenery and a private sunset.
- Beizhuang Ruins: A small and exquisite site near the port, worth a visit.
- Penglai: End the trip and return to Penglai.
🏠 Accommodation Suggestions
- Tudao Village: A good choice, within walking distance of Longzhao Mountain and not far from the port. The village is clean and tidy, and the night sky is particularly beautiful.
📝 Travel Tips
- Ferry: We recommend taking any morning ferry to the island and the 5 pm ferry back to enjoy the beautiful sunset. You can also upgrade to the third deck to feed the seagulls.
- Nature Experience: Feel the ebb and flow of the tide, listen to the sea breeze through the volcano, and experience the wonders of nature.
- Sunrise and Sunset: Wake up to the sound of fishing boats and watch the sunrise. Walk barefoot on the pebble beach and watch the sunset.
- Stargazing: Sit quietly at night and look up at the starry sky to find the antidote to a tired life.

The island has a loess layer of more than 10 meters deep, which is called the "Loess Plateau" of eastern China by geological experts. As the "First Island for Bird Ringing and Release in China", it attracts more than 200 species and hundreds of thousands of birds migrating each year. It is also the second largest snake island. There are many black-browed vipers on the island. It has the Beizhuang Ruins, the only large primitive village site on the eastern coast of China, which is as famous as the Banpo Ruins in Xi'an and is known as the "Eastern Banpo" of China.

Rated by National Geographic as the most beautiful island in China, this is Yantai Changdao Daheishan Island
An absolutely stunning island that has not been overdeveloped, with towering rocks of various shapes on the sea, every casual shot is a masterpiece. Rated by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful islands in China, this is also the setting for the TV series 'Parents' Love'.
Tour Route
Landing on the island → Longzhao Mountain National Geopark → Tuowei Long Beach → Folk Museum → Beizhuang Ruins → Return
If you have enough time, it is recommended to stay overnight~
1. Longzhao Mountain National Geopark
Tianmen Cave
A must-see spot in the scenic area! This huge natural stone cave really makes people marvel at the craftsmanship of nature, and it is also a great place to watch the sunset.
Juxian Cave
A cave formed by sea erosion under Longzhao Mountain, with trickling water inside, making you feel much calmer.
2. Tuowei Long Beach
Winding sandy beach, clear sea water, indescribably beautiful, comparable to the glass sea of the Maldives.
3. Beizhuang Ruins
A prehistoric village from 6500 years ago, with blue sky, blue sea, and green grass complementing each other, making it feel like a scene from an anime, very refreshing.
Transportation: Take a boat directly to Daheishan Island from Pengchang Passenger Port, the journey takes 70 minutes, and the ticket costs 70 yuan. Currently, there are 4 boats in and out of the island every day, entering the island at 8:00, 9:30, 11:00, and 13:30, and leaving the island at 9:30, 12:00, 14:00, and 16:40.
🏡Accommodation: There are 6 administrative villages on the island, and many fishing inns~
Tips:
1️⃣ It is recommended to take the first boat in the morning, the morning sunlight is perfect for taking photos with the boat, people, and seagulls;
2️⃣ Check the weather in advance, if online ticket booking shows closed, it is likely due to weather-related cancellations;
3️⃣ After landing on the island, go directly to Longzhao Mountain Geopark. The fastest way is to take a local's car, the price is negotiable, cheaper for more people, more expensive for fewer people, but at most 10 yuan per person one way.
4️⃣ If you are not in a hurry like me, you can walk slowly. After everyone from the same boat has gone ahead, you can take photos slowly. I discovered by accident that walking behind can be surprising. But it's not always empty, the next boat will bring another crowd behind you, so manage your time accordingly.
Finally, some photography tips
From the entrance of Longzhao Mountain, the whole way is quite photogenic, but the core spot is called Tianmen Cave, near the exit of the scenic area. There may be many people, and you might need to queue. We went on September 1st, which is considered the off-season, but there were still about 10 people in line. If you go early, there will be staff maintaining order. When there are many people, don't take too long for photos. While waiting in line, you can scout for good angles and poses, and take continuous shots when it's your turn to ensure you get good photos.
Photo time, both morning and afternoon can produce good photos, but I was lucky when I went, a beam of light just hit the Tianmen Cave spot, around 11:30 to 12:00 noon.

Daheshan Island! One of the most beautiful niche islands
How to get there?: We rented a car and drove there ourselves. Since the distances between attractions are relatively far, driving yourself is more convenient. Navigate to Yantai Pengchang Passenger Port - you can take a direct ferry to Daheshan Island. The ferry ticket is 70🎫 and the duration is 70 minutes. The number of ferry trips varies between peak and off-peak seasons. During the off-peak season, there are only two trips a day. When I went, there was only one trip in the morning and one in the afternoon. You need to buy the return ticket on Daheshan Island on-site, so be sure to ask about the schedule in advance, or you might miss it. You can bring some bread and sausages to feed the seagulls on the ferry and take beautiful photos! You can check and purchase tickets on the Green Bubble mini-program - Changdao Ferry Tickets. All the pictures were taken at Longzhao Mountain on Daheshan Island. The entrance ticket 🎫 is 45. If you have enough time, you can also visit Changdao - it's quite beautiful too. Be sure to check the weather!

✅Longzhuashan National Geological Park
The most beautiful and worthwhile place to visit! The journey is filled with stunning scenes perfect for photography
It's breathtaking❗The 'Heaven's Gate' photo spot is right here📷
After eight hundred million years of weathering and erosion by seawater
After being submerged three times by seawater and crustal movements, a special landform was formed
-
✅Nanzhuang Club
Retains the early post-revolutionary supply and marketing cooperative, with authentic island fishing village scenery everywhere~

🌋Daheshan Island is a volcanic island with fertile water quality and rich marine resources, even boasting a unique geological 'specialty'—Malan loess, referred to by geological experts as the 'Loess Plateau' of the easternmost part of China
-
Daheshan Island is not only incredibly scenic but also has a long-standing folk culture. Beizhuang Site is the only large-scale primitive village site currently found along the eastern coast of China, on par with the Banpo Site in Xi'an, and is referred to by archaeologists as China's 'Eastern Banpo'
-
After playing on the island for two days, I still hadn't had enough, watched the sunrise and sunset🌇
Tasted the authentic seafood of a farmhouse banquet🦐
Experienced the primitive and comfortable island life
It's best to go on a sunny day for beautiful photography❗

Daheshan Island is one of the ten most beautiful small islands in China, and it's breathtakingly beautiful
As one of the ten most beautiful islands in China selected by 'National Geographic'—Daheshan Island, it is an undeveloped natural island and also the setting for the TV series 'Parents' Love'. Its beauty truly lives up to its reputation.

I have summarized the travel guide for Daheshan Island and am sharing it with everyone. Be sure to save it! ❤️
✅Attractions
1️⃣Longzhua Mountain (almost all the good-looking photos of the island come from here): 👍👍👍
The most, most, most worthwhile place to visit, with sea-eroded trails formed over hundreds of millions of years, where rocks and the azure sea intertwine, the scenery can be described as spectacular! It's easy to take great photos here.
🕐Visiting time: About 1 hour
-
⚠️The popular photo spot 'Frame Stone Tower' is to the right after descending the mountain, next to a broken boat on the right-hand side, with a 30-second photo-taking limit per person.
-
⚠️When walking through the sea-eroded rock trails, be sure to pay attention to safety, as tall people may easily bump their heads.
-
2️⃣Tuowei Beach:
It's a tidal flat that looks like a fishtail, surrounded by popular decorations and some fishing boats. Entrance fee is 30 (20 if bought on-site), but I don't think it's very interesting.
⚠️Perhaps due to the terrain, this area is much windier than Longzhua Mountain, and it's extremely cold, so be sure to keep warm.
-
3️⃣Beizhuang Site:
A 6500-year-old prehistoric village site was discovered here, which is basically some reconstructed thatched houses. It's [free and just a 100 meters walk up from the pier, worth a look.
🕐Visiting time: 15 minutes

‼️Important Notes
Ferry tickets to Daheshan Island are purchased from Pengchang Port, 70 one-way. From Daheshan Island to Penglai, tickets must be bought on the island (tickets go on sale 30 minutes before departure), Penglai does not sell tickets, and the ferry ride is 75 minutes one-way.
-
‼️The island's transportation is the aforementioned island bus and electric cars, with electric cars costing 15 for 30 minutes. Compared to that, taking the bus is more appealing. Walking is not very feasible, as there are many slopes.
-
⚠️It is not recommended to stay overnight on the island, as the sightseeing time is not long and there are only a few tourist spots. Overall, it doesn't seem necessary to stay overnight.

Checking in at Daheishan Island
Daheishan Island, located more than 50 kilometers southeast of Zhuanghe city center in Daheishi Town, attracts numerous tourists with its unique natural scenery and abundant marine resources. Not only does it have the stone mountains that rise abruptly from the top of the hill, resembling a giant dragon lying on the vast coast of Bohai Bay, but it also boasts the Heishi Reef scenic area known as the natural oxygen bar, as well as the largest island scenic area in the Dalian region. The beautiful scenery of Daheishan Island is all in sight, with green mountains and clear waters, and the landscape here is uniquely charming. In the summer of Dalian, the sea is picturesque, and the mountains are lush green, representing the most beautiful scenery of Dalian's summer.
Here, you can experience the marvelous craftsmanship of nature, and the scenery on the top of the mountain makes you exclaim involuntarily. The seawater around Daheishan Island is so pure that it resembles a pool of crystal, untainted by any speck of dust, as if it could penetrate one's soul. Standing on the deck and looking into the distance, it perfectly meets the blue sky, merging water and heaven into one, facing this sacred blue, it's like facing Zen, like approaching Prajna. Here, you can pursue a dreamlike world, feel the baptism of the sea, wash away the mundanity of life, and feel as if reborn.

🏞Guidelines for playing or taking photos
Longzhaoshan National Geopark
The most popular and worth visiting place! Very shocking! The camera position of the "Tianmen Cave" and "Big Picture Frame" in my first picture is right here! There are 1,000 meters of cliffs here, and there are photo-worthy spots everywhere. If you want to watch the sunrise, just go to the entrance here. There will be a beautiful sunrise.
Long trailing beach
There is a sea of glass comparable to the Maldives, which looks like a movie scene! So romantic!
Beizhuang ruins
The historic village ruins include original seaweed houses located on the seaside, just like the world in Hayao Miyazaki's comics~
The authentic island fishing village retains the old supply and marketing cooperative from the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is worth a visit!
🌟Travel route
Day1: Longzhaoshan National Address Park → Tuowei Stall → Nanzhuang Club
Day2: Beizhuang Ruins
If you have time, you can stay on the island for one night and experience the relaxing and primitive island life.
❤Tips: This is also where the story of "Parents' Love" takes place!
This summer, come to this romantic island and watch the sea together! Spend the least money and have the greatest happiness!

Daheshan Island in Yantai, an original ecological island that you would want to visit again
A niche island particularly suitable for summer vacations, Daheshan Island in the northern part of Shandong
In May, I visited Daheshan Island in Yantai with friends. The scenery, food, and the feeling of being in an untouched environment left a deep impression on me. I can't help but yearn for this treasure island again.
It takes only 70 minutes by ferry from Penglai to get there
This place is less commercialized than Changdao, emphasizing its natural state. How pristine is it?
There are no restaurants, supermarkets, taxis, buses, or schools
Once you're here, you become the master of the island, and you can't drive onto the island either
Several popular spots are concentrated on the eastern coast, within walking distance
Accommodation and dining are provided by the fishermen's homes, with unbeatable sea views and no disappointments
You can choose between Tudaocun and Nanzhuang
The prices are very touching, with big buns for 5 yuan each, two of which are enough to fill you up
There's also the deliciously flavored dalu noodles, where you can add as much as you like
Or you can follow the fishermen who have just returned from fishing and buy a bag of seafood
Simple processing is enough, serving it fresh and original
Feel the vicissitudes of the sea on the sea erosion plank road, after all, it's an island that has been featured in geographic magazines
The stunning sea sunrise, Tianmen Cave, and Juxian Cave are all unique rock landscapes
Besides, Chuanwang Pier, Tuoweichangsha, and Xiaohao Village are all great spots for taking photos, making you want to stop and take pictures at any moment
It's very suitable for experiencing the slow life of island living, gather a few good friends
Come to face the sea and experience the life of the island
Come for a dual healing of body and mind

Really in Shandong! | How amazing is the most beautiful island in China rated by National Geographic!!!
| How amazing is the most beautiful island in China rated by National Geographic!!!. Daheshan Island in Changdao County, Yantai, Shandong, is an island surrounded by the sea. It not only has unique marine erosion landforms and natural scenery of strange reefs and strange stones, but also has a rich marine culture and fishing folk customs. It is also rated by National Geographic as one of the top ten most beautiful islands in China.
The key is that this is a very niche treasure island, because it needs to take a boat to get there, and there are only two shifts a day, so the number of tourists arriving daily is limited, which also ensures the comfort of the travel experience to the greatest extent.
1 Longzhuashan National Geological Park
As the saying goes, 'If you don't visit Longzhuashan, you don't count as coming to Changdao.' At the northernmost end of the island, there are five steep cliffs standing side by side, which are quite shocking. There are three must-visit spots in the park, namely 'Tianmendongkai', 'Juxiandong', and 'Haishi Zhandao'. Among them, 'Tianmendongkai' is the most spectacular, and the cave in the middle is like the 'Eye of Daheshan Island', which is very photogenic.
2 Towing Tail Beach
It's really a beautiful view that will attract you at first sight. The best viewing period is after the tide recedes, and the Towing Tail Beach reveals its full view. It's a scene that only exists in movies, but the sand on the beach is not fine sand, the particles are relatively large.
3 Beizhuang Site
This primitive village site, with its large scale, complete preservation, and rich remains, is rare in our country. It is another major discovery after the Banpo Lintong Jiangzhai in Xi'an, and is known as the Eastern Banpo by the archaeological community. It is currently also a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Daheshan Island
①Longzhashan National Geological Park: My favorite shooting location! The main picture was taken here! It's more beautiful to see it on the spot than in the photos! The cave and the sea blend perfectly! It's just stunningly beautiful! You can take beautiful pictures with your phone! By the way, on the way to Longzhashan, there are many beautiful cliffs that you can shoot!
②Tow Long Beach: Just listening to the name is a beautiful place! The endless sea is very clear and transparent! Just like the scene in the movie! So romantic!
③Beizhuang Site: It is the only and oldest primitive village site along the east coast of China, with thatched houses overlooking the sea that are as beautiful as in fairy tales!
Travel strategy:
Pengchang Passenger Port Daheshan Island Tow Long Beach Longzhashan Beizhuang Site Return by boat
Travel tips:
If you are not in a hurry, you can actually stay on the island for a day, eat the original seafood of the farmhouse feast, and watch the sunset and sunrise!
If you want to take good photos, you must go on a sunny day! The sun is really the best filter!
The conditions of the homestay on the island are limited, you can bring your own towels and stuff!
There are so many places to take pictures! You can bring a few more sets of clothes haha!

Yantai | A day and night trip to Dajiao Mountain Island has arrived
| A day and night trip to Dajiao Mountain Island has arrived. We came to Penglai to play!
This time we chose the shooting location of 'Parents' Love'! Dajiao Mountain Island
Although it's National Day, there are really not many people!
The scenery is also very beautiful!
In short, it's all about the photos!
Disadvantage: Compared to Changdao, there are fewer attractions
For sisters who like fewer people and slow travel, I recommend here
Below is our travel guide
1. We bought a boat ticket from Penglai to Dajiao Mountain Island at 1 o'clock. Boat ticket: 60 (you can buy the ticket to go on WeChat on your mobile phone, and you can only buy the ticket to return from the island offline, and you can queue up to buy the ticket 30 minutes before the boat departs offline)
2. We booked a homestay in advance, stayed for one night, and the boss included 2 meals + 1 breakfast!
(Must praise the boss of the homestay here! Really enthusiastic! The key is that the cooking is delicious! The disadvantage is that the house is relatively simple but very clean!)
Key point: You need to book meals on the island in advance. I see that walk-in customers come to eat, they do not accept it. It seems that there are only shops on the island, so if you want to come and play, either bring your own food or find the boss to order food!
Below is the itinerary:
Longzhua Mountain-Watch the sunrise-Chasing the sea garden tail beach
1. Longzhua Mountain: Because of the boat at one o'clock in the afternoon! It was almost three o'clock when I was ready to go out on the island! After considering it, I went to Longzhua Mountain to play! This place is really too much like a photo!
You can go and take pictures of the starry sky at night! I didn't bring equipment, so I didn't go~
2. Get up at 5:30 to watch the sunrise: The homestay where I live is next to the sea. Get up early at five o'clock and get ready to go out to watch the sunrise! (It is best to confirm the time and place with the locals in advance)
3. Rattlesnake Beach Chasing the Sea: It is recommended that you go early, preferably at 6 o'clock! If there is a car arrangement, you can go directly to watch the sunrise.
We went at 7 o'clock, it was a bit late, and the tide had already receded! But it's just right, walking on foot, surrounded by the sea. After strolling around, I rented an electric bike and rode around the island~ (Complain that the electric bike is really expensive! Xiaolan is 15 for half an hour)
In short, I really recommend this cute little island~
Sisters who have time can go to Changdao to play first, Changdao is closer~ You can come to Dajiao Mountain Island when you have enough fun!
