👍The Dallas Museum of Art is located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, Texas, USA. In 1984, the museum moved from its previous location in Fair Park to the Arts District in Dallas, Texas. The new museum was designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes, winner of the 2007 AIA Gold Medal.
👍The museum has four floors, with only a few exhibits requiring an additional ticket, while most are free to visit. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and open from 11:00 to 17:00 from Wednesday to Sunday.
👍The museum has a collection of over 24,000 works of art, dating from 3000 BC to the present, covering a wide range of subjects, including both artifacts and contemporary art. In particular, there are many masterpieces of European contemporary art, including Impressionism, Cubism, and Abstract Art, by well-known artists such as Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Edvard Munch, Manet, Magritte, and Mondrian. Most notably, there is a sketch of Van Gogh's "Cafe" and an unfinished painting by Cézanne.
