wonderful weekend escape from the city at Double Tree Penang Hotel. smooth check in from the receptions , for free upgrade to seaview room by the receptionist . thank you so much 😊 staff are polite and professional they greet you all the way from lobby till you get into your room. the hospitality is perfect and I have two big cookies form front office too. the cookies was great . one you step into the room , king size bed with a clear seaview room clearly to be seen from the room. it was best healing trip. little surprise gift from the hotel too. it’s taste so great! breakfast was superb. you may wake up in the morning and enjoys great breakfast to kick start the morning. There are nearby attraction ;- 1. Enthopia - largest butterfly farm in Penang 2. Morning hike - near to the national park 3. Mural wall & Padi field near to Batu Ferengi 4. Night market at Batu Ferrengi One of the downside is you need to walk 5 mins to the beach from the bridge . There is no direct access to the beach . Staycation with Great View

#hotelstaycation in Penang for a short breakaway on weekend. Location is quite far from airport but not very far from central area, there is also bus stop near this hotel. View from my room is super nice. I got it $180+ for 4D3N. Great ambience but need to note that they don't provide drinking water for free. Walking distance to nearest beach, just opposite the hotel. It's never a regret to stay here at DoubleTree Hilton Penang! Getaway to cheap and affordable resort-like stay.

Doubletree Resort Penang

We stayed five nights at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. The hotel has restaurants, pools, and offers discounts to museums. The first night we took the overpass across the street and ended up right on the beach. There’s a small restaurant where we ate dinner and watched the sunset. Not perfectly but wonderful resort that you can stay, the workers are very nice and helpful, some more have welcome cookies for us when we check in quite lately at 11.40pm😅.. and also free upgrade room because full house on that day🫶🏻 Besides that, I’m not really suggest for the breakfast buffet because the taste of food is really normal (exclude bread), but you still can try it if you really eat a lot, price per person is S$20. Everything is good, way to city just 15-20mins by cars if no traffic jam. Went to Penang during last CNY break. Made a last minute booking on Trip.com and got a super cheap deal with seaview at Doubletree by Hilton Penang ! Lively hotel. Nice kids pool and club. Love the resort feeling to it. Highly recommended !

#staycation I chose this hotel because of its excellent service and strategic location. Upon entrance, there was a staff member seeing me having problems with my handphone connection, he approached me and asked if I needed a Wi-fi connection. I was so touched by the helpful gesture. I also enjoyed the dining area very much, where the kids can play at the swimming pool, and adults can have some quiet time eating and chatting. The room was spacious with a nice sea view. We like the complimentary homemade giant cookies. There are shopping malls and restaurants nearby, and the beachfront is just next to the hotel. In the evening, we like to sit on the rock and admire the sunset view. Overall, a very pleasant staycation here. #penang

No words to describe the stay at Double tree by Hilton Penang. Sea view balcony rooms are spacious well furnished with all amenities. View from the balcony as bedroom is magical. Great spread in morning complementary breakfast. Other than the splash pool, there is a Teddy museum that will be fun and a unique experience for kids. The only downside is the hotel doesn't have its own private beach. Has to cross over the road via an overhead walkway. Additionally, it's a bit uphill and not many options for beach bars and nearby restaurants. No convenient stores nearby too. Check in was fast and they service ice lemonade at lobby. we were also given complimentary doubletree cookies! taste great!. ❤️Great resort, clean, friendly staffs, good view of Straits of Melaka.However please mind the location of this resort which is it's not by the beach. User need to to cross a flyover to the beach and the beach is full of rocks. ❤️Its located in between down town and Batu Ferringhi beach. You can only drive to these 2 locations. Even though with this minor inconvenience, the pool makes up for it. It's large and a pool bar is there for your tropical needs. They gave tasty soft chocolate cookies for each guest upon check in. The view from balcony was fantastic, can see the beach on my right hand side, and mountains on my left. King size bed was so comfy. But the room has no bath tub. Breakfast was decent, a bit rushing because very crowded. The staffs were very welcoming and helpful. It was surprised to see the cute Cookiesman at swimming pool. So much fun for taking pictures together. No direct beach access but there was a bridge which you can walk to the beach. Stairs quite steep, must be careful. Could be tough for elderly and other people of limited mobility. Rating: 4/5 #staycation #beachlife

#beachlife Almost 3 years since the lockdown. Penang is still my favourite place in Malaysia. Booked this hotel facing the sea is just simply beautiful. Stayed there twice and wanna explore even more than the first. Walking along the beach, took some photos with it. Wow look awesome!!

The resort’s strategic located opposite the Batu Ferringhi beach, it provided stunning sea views & sunset view, you could have some fun activities on the beach too, absolutely a perfect place for weekend getaway! The resort is beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and offers plenty of seating areas where guests can relax or socialize, the ambiance is cozy and welcoming, plus the staff are super friendly and accommodating, creating a great first impression. The chic design room is gorgeous, spacious with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was above my satisfactory with complete set of toiletries. It also has a scenic sea view from the balcony. Missing a bit of seaside vacation atmosphere, DoubleTree by Hilton Penang

After spending six days and five nights exploring George Town, Penang, we decided to move to the northern part of the island to experience the coastal scenery of Penang, which is humorously referred to as the Langkawi substitute. The first stop was staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton. The hotel's location is not ideal, situated at the far edge of Tanjung Bungah Beach near the city, and about two to three kilometers from the quieter Batu Ferringhi Beach. It is awkwardly positioned at the intersection of bustling and secluded, making it difficult to decide whether to have dinner locally or go back to the city. Although the hotel is backed by mountains and faces the sea, it is not built on the beach but separated by a main urban road. Guests can use a self-built pedestrian bridge to cross, requiring a room card to enter and exit. The beach is underdeveloped, very small, and has many variously shaped reefs, making it unsuitable for swimming. The beach faces northeast, but fortunately, there is still a beautiful sunset slightly obscured by distant mountains in the evening. Generous treatment for Diamond members, no need for prior communication, directly upgraded to a sea view suite. Even though the sea view is partially blocked by trees, in the case of full occupancy during the summer, this courtesy is still appreciated. The room needs no further description, standard layout and decoration of an old-style resort hotel. The bathroom is not small but the shower is cramped, causing water to overflow when taking a shower. The air conditioning must be set to a low temperature, otherwise, the humid seaside smell will quickly invade. Additionally, as the main road is outside the window, the sound of large vehicles speeding by at night is incessant, so those with poor sleep quality may need earplugs. No executive lounge, but there is afternoon tea, though with a peculiar rule: Gold members can only enjoy it from 3 to 4 PM, while Diamond members are scheduled from 5 to 6 PM. Since no one informed us during check-in, we, one Gold and one Diamond member, booked two rooms and missed the Gold member dining time. However, trying out this member benefit, it turns out not eating it is no loss. The outdoor pool after sunset is crowded with half of the guests, and lounge chairs are in high demand. If you want to join, it is recommended to change into your swimsuit in the room, otherwise, you will have to go back and forth several times. The next day's breakfast in the basement restaurant was bustling and chaotic, making it difficult to find a seat. Is the food really worth fighting for? The salad leaves were wilted, and the watermelon was dehydrated. There were also foreign children touching every muffin. Overall feeling, the vacation atmosphere is insufficient, and the sleep quality is not good. So we decided to move to the deeper Batu Ferringhi Beach. Is Hilton Loyalty program worth trying?

Stayed in King Suite with bathtub from 9 to 13 July (4 nights). This was my first hotel stay booking via Hilton Honors as a status match (gold member) and there was virtually zero benefit via this type of booking. (I believe only diamond members get evening canapes at axis lounge). After providing much feedback during the stay, Not one welcome drink to be offered, fruit basket / cake sent to the room, or mini bar items to be offered. This seems very strange as most other hotels would jump at the opportunity to provide service recovery to guests who book via their loyalty program with many even providing to all type of bookings. As this is my maiden stay with Hilton based on a status match, I may seem more critical to the service provided as I am evaluating if I should put all my stays with Hilton program in future. The property itself is great sized and has good views but the management seems to be the issue. Rooms are faulty with doors handles requiring servicing (hard for children to open), aircon being ultra loud and require servicing to ensure no water dripping sounds. Many sockets and plugs do not work in the room(s). There was a fire alarm drill for staff being activated during my stay and guests were not informed about it upon check in. Overall for doubletree, it is unable to compare to Hamptons or even holiday inn express. Out of our 4 nights stay, we were unable to sleep the first two nights being given a room next to a 24/7 running generation, the last two nights unable to have breakfast in the only restaurant which is clearly too small to accommodate the crowd. Breakfast food items run out quickly, and 1 staff on eggs and waffles' stations make it impossible to order unless you want to cut queue or just take someone's order. no numbers on table either to order delivery at table. 6:30am breakfast starts and around 7amish seems like food has run out and is on a constant loop to replace food. Waffle/pancakes station - unable to keep up with demand, Nasi lemak - main meat unable to keep up with demand Eggs station - unable to keep up with demand and same station / staff to prepare eggs for room service. Review of the only restaurant seems bad on all accounts for every service, hence had to take Grab out to Gurney Paragon for Italian food (Lunarich Pizza & Pasta) which costs less than the hotel. Else, Grab food will do the job. #beachlife
