Dalian is one of the most European-style coastal cities in China, with beautiful beaches that are unforgettable. The main tourist attractions in Dalian are along Binhai Road, from Xinghai Square to Tiger Beach Amusement Park, with many attractions in between. The route is backed by mountains and faces the sea, offering pleasant scenery.
Route: Fisherman's Wharf - Tiger Beach Amusement Park - Lingjiao Bay - Forest Zoo - Fujiazhuang - Silver Beach - Xinghai Square. This route has many attractions and is long, so you don't need to visit every spot. If you have time, a 2-day tour is recommended; if not, a 1-day tour will suffice.
Accommodation: Xinggong Street or Malan Square
1. It is recommended to visit Fisherman's Wharf first. The small houses and various fishing boats are very beautiful, and many fishermen sell fresh fish right by the dam. Tourists can taste sea urchins and freshly cooked shrimp on the spot.
2. If you are traveling with children, you can visit Tiger Beach Amusement Park. Lingjiao Bay's scenery is average and can be skipped if time is limited.
3. I didn't enter the Forest Zoo, so I won't review it. If you go from the north gate, you can see Dalian's famous deer. There is a direct bus from Tiger Beach Amusement Park to the Forest Zoo.
4. Fujiazhuang is the best place for swimming, with relatively good beaches. Many people rent tents here.
5. The Silver Beach is mostly covered with pebbles. There are popular photo spots here, and many tourists visit.
6. Xinghai Square is well-known, with many high-rise buildings giving it a futuristic feel. It's a beautiful place to take photos, but the night market is quite disappointing.
For accommodation, it is recommended to choose Xinggong Street or Malan Square. The former has a good location with many restaurants, while the latter is a residential area with local markets where many tourists buy fresh sea urchins. If you are driving, avoid these two places due to heavy traffic. The most convenient way to get around is by subway. Dalian is small, so you can get anywhere quickly.

Until I went to Yantai❗️I fell in love with this romantic and niche city ||| Recently went to Qingdao, Weihai, and Yantai.
Before, I didn't know much about the city of Yantai.
After going there, this seaside 🏖️town brought me too many surprises!
Share a 3-day travel guide and photo spots with everyone, yyds!
Everyone, hurry up and get on your horses 🌈
🚗[Transportation]
We are self-driving, about 80 yuan per day, it's very convenient to go anywhere, parking in Yantai is not expensive, and there are many free parking lots by the seaside, which is totally acceptable.
⏰[Itinerary arrangement]
Day 1: Whale watching 🐳 at the beach - Jinshatan Seaside Park - Yantai Mountain - Fisherman's Wharf
Day 2: Binhai Middle Road - Yantai University - Suo Chengli - Pink Beach
Day 3: Yangma Island
📸[Great place for taking photos]

The stranded whale that many people have been asking about is right here! Navigation 🧭 City Exhibition Center, free parking! If you want fewer people for taking photos, go in the morning!
🎈Yantai Mountain Park (free)
Yantai Mountain Park offers a panoramic view of the sea and the cityscape of Yantai, and you can also go down to the beach.
🎈Fisherman's Wharf (free)
The Fisherman's Wharf has very beautiful European-style buildings, known as Little Prague. Especially during sunset, it's a great place for taking photos! There are also some cafes on the wharf where you can sit and relax.
🎈Binhai Middle Road (free)
The coastline of Binhai Middle Road is super beautiful. I almost go there to stroll every day. There are also many beautiful road signs along the way. Taking pictures of the sidewalks together, the street style atmosphere is full!
🎈Pink Shell Beach (Free)
Here are many pink shells, don't miss them if you like them!
🎈Yongma Island (free)
Yangma Island is a place I really like in Yantai, known as the "Little Maldives"! Drive or rent an electric bike to circle the island clockwise, the sea, the pier, the sunset, you won't be disappointed! (✒️A detailed introduction to Yangma Island will be provided in the next article)
🏠[Accommodation]
It is recommended to live near Yantai University, which is close to Binhai Middle Road and has a wide variety of food options. You can also take a walk by the seaside at night and enjoy the sea breeze, which is extremely comfortable.
🍜[Food]
Yantai and Weihai are both close to Korea, so there are more Korean-style restaurants. We usually eat near the university campus and look for popular restaurants, which is never wrong.
🌈Yantai, this seaside town, is clean, comfortable, and has beautiful scenery with few people.
Until now, thinking back still makes me miss the days over there so much 🥰, they were too beautiful!

Dalian’s Fisherman Pier
Dalian is one of my favorite cities in China.
This city is very walkable and has so much to offer.
Fisherman pier is one of the most popular locations in Dalian. Enjoy a nice little stroll and above all, the view. If you’ve ever been to Lunemberg in Nova-Scotia 🇨🇦, this place has the same vibe.
Have fun!

All the three times I came to Fisherman's Wharf, I came here in spring, summer and autumn. The first time I came here, it was summer. At that time, the sky was very clear and seemed bigger. At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the sun was still shining bright and high in the sky. The second time I came here, during a rainy, gloomy weather with a moist and sticky feeling of summer. The third time, this time, the autumn is very obvious here, the evening with looks like has lost color, and there is a little grayish look. The Fisherman's Wharf has parked a lot of metal boats, and these boats usually go out in the early hours of the morning and stop here in the evening. The Fisherman's Wharf is a fun and enjoyable place, surrounded by subway repairs, and has blocked many roads, but still can't resist people's enthusiasm. One can listen to the sea breeze on the reef, while watching the clear sky.

Dalian Fisherman's Wharf.
One afternoon, I took a car to the place that I had always admired in pictures. The midday sun shone brightly, so we walked under an umbrella. We watched the passengers move from south to the north, their voices being carried away by the sea breeze. I probably sat this way for two hours, during which, the evening settled in.
I had a great time taking pictures and was eager to embrace the sea. There were many seagulls flying around the sea, calling out to one another. Since there weren’t many tourists around, nobody would have been too bothered by my taking pictures. I went to Lotus Hall to watch the sun set. I was a bit rushed when I went there, so I do have some regrets. So, Dalian, we will see you in a few months.
NIKI ZUO.
The wind in Dalian is still so big.
Walk around the school flower shop to buy a bunch of stars
full of joy to take a photo taken at Fisherman's Wharf h
reef climbing at the beach low
sitting on the stone listening to the sea breeze
Watching the sunset a little bit
Fisherman's Wharf has parked a lot of tin boats, usually these boats are going out in the early hours of the morning, stopping here in the evening.
Fisherman's Wharf is a lot of fun, surrounded by subway repairs, sealed a lot of roads, but still can not resist the enthusiasm of people.

[Dawn's Light, Poetic Dwelling] Dalian Fisherman's Wharf: A Poem of Time, A Whisper of the Sea.
When the first ray of dawn breaks, gently awakening the sleeping sea, Dalian Fisherman's Wharf unfolds like a delicate ink painting. Ancient fishing boats nestle in the tranquil embrace, swaying with the sea breeze, as if telling tales of a thousand years of vicissitudes and tenderness. Every brick and tile here is steeped in the traces of time, yet retains the agility of modern art, creating a unique landscape that blends the ancient and the modern.
Strolling along the winding cobblestone path, each step resonates with the rhythm of history, flanked by old houses full of stories and emerging artistic spaces, engaging in their own dialogue with the past and the future. The sea breeze carries a hint of saltiness, mingled with the rich aroma of coffee beans and the fragrance of flowers, creating the unique flavor of Fisherman's Wharf. Here, you can pause, let your heart soar with the seagulls, and fly in boundless imagination.
Travel Inspiration:
Dawn's Arrival: In the early morning, welcome the first light of dawn, feel the power of rebirth, and awaken with the world.
Corridor of Time: Explore the life tracks of old fishermen, listen to their tales of dancing with the sea, and savor every moment of reality.
Gastronomic Voyage: Embark on a culinary journey, where every bite of seafood is a generous gift from the sea, intoxicating with its purity and freshness.
Artistic Imagination: Immerse yourself in local craft shops, where a piece of work may touch your heart and become a memory of your journey.
Leisurely Afternoon: Find a quiet corner, enjoy a pot of tea, read a book, and indulge in the luxury of time slowly passing by.
Dalian Fisherman's Wharf is not just a place name; it is a philosophy of life, a return to the depths of the soul. Here, everyone can find their own piece of pure land, let their heart move with the wind, and sing with the sea.

My dream city, aka my favorite coastal city. Dalian, Liaoning.
Anthony's hometown!!! I'm finally here!!!
When I was in college, I read "The Longest Way to Go" and always associated Dalian with Melbourne. I remember the book mentioned Xinghai Square, McDonald's fries being the best in the country, and wandering in the imagination of "No. 2" ... I finally came to this city this year.
The idea was inspired by two pure love movies, "The Longest Way to Go" and "Last Letter." I like Zhou Xun, so I wanted to walk through the streets in the movies. The colors in "The Longest Way to Go" are more like the current popular dopamine combinations, with seagulls, beaches, and yellow walls, Bai Baihe holding hot coffee in winter, and Jin Shijia returning from studying at the Japan Film Academy...
Fisherman's Wharf: Take a bus to Lingjiao Bay to see the Italian-style buildings that are popular online. They are stunning, but be sure to bring a telephoto lens.
Xinghai Bay Bridge: 🌆 In the evening, you can feed the seagulls while enjoying the sunset and afterglow. The sea will gradually fog up, and the bridge will slowly disappear into the night.
Quanxi Hot Spring Life Hall: A traditional northeastern hot spring hall where students can stay overnight. I went there directly after getting off the plane, and I have to say that I felt relaxed after the bath, washing away the fatigue of the journey.
Dalian in winter has a kind of solemn yet vibrant beauty, with short but intense sunlight.

Recommended Things to Do in Dalian
- Xinghai Square: If you come to Dalian, you must go to Xinghai Square to see the flocks of seagulls. It's very healing.
- Haida Cableway: I recommend taking the cable car from the south gate of the zoo to the Lianhua Mountain Observation Deck. You can also walk to the Lianhua Mountain Observation Deck and take the cable car down to the south gate of the zoo.
- Silver Beach: You can take pictures of the healing path by the sea and the large black reefs.
- Fujiazhuang Park: A beach with few tourists, more recommended than Silver Beach. After walking along the boardwalk, the scenery is breathtaking, and the sea is really blue on sunny days! In autumn, you can also visit the ginkgo forest.
- Fisherman's Wharf: You'll need a telephoto lens for the best shots, so I recommend bringing a phone or camera with a telephoto lens. After taking photos, enter the fishing village, where you'll find orange sunsets and flocks of seagulls, as well as fresh seafood barbecue on the roadside.
- Venice Water City (Venice Water World): It's beautiful when the lights come on at night. You can take a boat tour, and there are many small shops on both sides where you can shop and eat. At the end of the waterway, there is a street food market where you can fill your stomach.
- Dalian Art Museum: You can visit it, and there are exhibitions recently. There is also an old train station nearby where you can take photos from a distance.
- Russian Style Street: Don't have high expectations for Russian Style Street, as it's not very walkable. You can visit and take photos of the old buildings on both sides. There is a coffee shop with a very distinctive building.
📸 Photography Tips
- Best Time to Shoot: Early morning and evening, when the light is soft, are ideal for shooting seascapes and cityscapes.
- Clothing Tips: Wear light and comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor activities and photography.
🚦 Travel Tips
- Transportation: Dalian has convenient public transportation, with extensive subway and bus coverage, making it easy to explore these hidden gems.

❄️In December last year, I set foot on the land of Dalian and was instantly shocked by the beauty of this city. The combination of snow and sea is simply a perfect match, and that kind of beauty is fascinating 😭.
📸Here are some of the most beautiful photo spots in Dalian for you to record the unique charm of this city.
🌟Lingjiao Bay: Here, you can see the distinctive exotic town buildings on the opposite side of the Fisherman's Wharf. Be sure to go in the morning, the morning light is soft, the photo effect is super good, as if you are in a European town 😜.
🌊Yinhai Beach: After the heavy snow, the bay and the beach are covered with white snow. At sunset, the golden sunlight is sprinkled on the snow and the sea, that scenery is breathtakingly beautiful 😍. Remember to check the weather forecast in advance and choose a sunny day to enjoy this beautiful scenery.
🚃Tram 201: Wait for the tram at the Century Street Bus Station. Although it is very cold when it snows, when the tram slowly comes, the retro feeling and the snow scene complement each other, it is very worth taking a photo. The tram is about half an hour away, everyone should arrange their time reasonably ⌛.
🚉Tahe Bay Subway Station: In the distance is the vast sea. When the subway enters the station, it is really Japanese style and very suitable for taking some artistic photos 📷.
🏯Songshan Temple: This is a very atmospheric temple. Taking photos on the street outside, you can feel a quiet and simple atmosphere, which makes people awe-inspiring 🙏.
🌉Star Sea Bridge Viewing Platform: This is the best place to watch the sunset in Dalian. The sea and the Star Sea Bridge form a beautiful picture under the sunset, which makes people can't help but sigh at the charm of the combination of the magic of nature and the greatness of human architecture ✨.
📌Schedule route planning notes:
• The temperature in Dalian in winter is relatively low, so be sure to keep warm, bring thick coats, scarves, gloves and other warm items 🧣.
• The distance between each photo spot may be relatively long, you can choose the appropriate transportation, such as buses, subways or taxis. If you have plenty of time, you can also experience Dalian's characteristic transportation, such as Tram 201 🚎.
• Check the opening hours and best visiting hours of each attraction in advance, arrange the itinerary reasonably, and ensure that you can fully appreciate the beauty of each attraction. For example, the sunset at Yinhai Beach is beautiful, so plan your time in advance to arrive.
• When taking pictures, pay attention to protect your equipment to avoid equipment failure due to cold weather. You can put warm baby and other warming measures on the camera or mobile phone 📱.
💕Dalian is such a charming city, the romantic encounter between snow and sea makes people linger. Come to Dalian and start a romantic journey of your own 💖!

A city with snow and sea is really beautiful.
Last December, I had the opportunity to visit Dalian. The snow scene there impressed me, especially the combination of snow and sea, which is simply a wonderful picture.
Next, I want to share with you a few beautiful photo spots I found in Dalian:
1⃣️Lingjiao Bay: Opposite the Fisherman's Wharf, there are exotic town buildings🏰. The morning is the best time to take pictures, and the scenery is particularly charming.
2⃣️Yinhai Beach: After a heavy snow, the S Bay and the beach🏖️ are covered with snow. With the sunset, the beauty is breathtaking.
3⃣️201 Tram: Wait for the tram🚞 at the Century Street Bus Station. Although it is cold while waiting, the tram in the snow scene is half an hour away, which is quite interesting.
4⃣️Tahe Bay Subway Station: Outside the station is the vast sea. When the subway🚇 enters the station, the scene seems to come from Japanese animation, which is very Japanese.
5⃣️Songshan Temple: This is a temple full of atmosphere. Taking pictures📸 on the street outside, you can capture a special feeling.
6⃣️Xinghai Bridge Viewing Platform: I think this is the best place to watch the sunset in Dalian. The combination of the sea🌊, Xinghai Bridge and the sunset🌇 forms a beautiful picture.

Dalian Fisherman's Wharf | A romantic and artistic treasure trove.
| A romantic and artistic treasure trove. Guys 😎, I must share Dalian's Fisherman's Wharf with you today.
🌊As soon as you arrive at the Fisherman's Wharf, you can smell the faint smell of the sea, which is the unique smell of the sea. The buildings here are very distinctive, the colorful houses are arranged in a patchwork manner, just like walking into a small fishing village in Europe 🧐.
📸Walking along the wharf, you will see fishing boats quietly docked on the shore. Some of these fishing boats look like they have been around for a while, and the mottled hull seems to be telling the story of the sea. There are also many fishermen on the wharf sorting out fishing gear, and their busy figures are also a unique landscape.
🦀The seafood here is super fresh. There are many stalls selling all kinds of freshly caught seafood, crabs are waving their claws in the basin, and shrimps are still jumping around. If you want to eat, there are small restaurants nearby for processing, the delicious taste is really great 👍.
☕Of course, there are many literary shops on the Fisherman's Wharf. There are stylish coffee shops, sitting in the shop, looking at the wharf and the sea outside through the window, drinking strong coffee, it's simply too comfortable. There are also some characteristic handicraft shops, which are full of various interesting gadgets, you can stroll around, maybe you can find your favorite baby 🤩.
🌅The Fisherman's Wharf is the most beautiful at dusk. The afterglow of the setting sun is sprinkled on the sea, and the entire wharf is dyed golden. At that time, the color of the sky also became super dreamy, forming a beautiful picture with the wharf and the sea. Take pictures at this time, no filter is super out of the picture 📷.

🚶♀️Route Recommendation
With just one day, a crazy Citywalk following this route will not disappoint:
Metro Line 2 Huating Square - Donggang Music Fountain Square - Fisherman's Wharf - Xinghai Square
-
📷Destination Introduction
1⃣️Old Tram - Huating Square: When you come to Dalian, you don't have to ride the tram, but you must take photos. There are actually many spots to take photos, but I personally think Huating Square is the most suitable.
2⃣️Donggang Music Fountain Square: A very modern square, looks great from an aerial view. You can feed the seagulls, and there are seagulls in summer too.
3⃣️Fisherman's Wharf: Navigate to Lingjiao Bay, which is opposite Fisherman's Wharf, more suitable for taking photos of colorful houses. The legendary Italian style.
4⃣️Xinghai Square: It's really great to arrive at Xinghai Square in the evening, with sunset, music, and fountains, it's definitely worth checking in. If flying a drone, it's recommended to take off from the side of Shell Square for safety.

The last seaside pier in Dalian city
🌈Scenic Features: Dalian Laohutan Fisherman's Wharf is a seaside pier located in the Laohutan Fishing Port on Binhai Road in Zhongshan District, Dalian. It is situated to the east of Laohutan Ocean Park, with Binhai Road to the north and the Yellow Sea to the south. Natural mountains flank both the east and west sides, creating a harmonious blend of mountains and sea. The geographical conditions are excellent, and the natural scenery is beautiful.
The concept of Fisherman's Wharf originates from Europe and America, representing a nostalgic European-style leisure, a unique harbor culture, a form of popular entertainment, and a touch of humanistic charm with a hint of reminiscence. In Europe and America, there are many famous Fisherman's Wharfs, such as Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, USA, Fisherman's Wharf in Montreal, Canada, and Fisherman's Wharf in Liverpool, UK.
Every hour on the hour, the big clock at Fisherman's Wharf chimes, reminding people to cherish these beautiful and fleeting moments.
