In addition to Fort Canning Park, "Old Hill Street Police Station" and "Clarke Quay" are nearby, and you can visit and check in together. Check in the popular tree hole. Open the camera wide-angle and stand under the spiral staircase. Take a photo of the tree hole and the big tree from the bottom up. The effect of the photo is superb. Day One: Exploration and Culinary Journey Upon arriving at Terminal 4 of Changi Airport, I was touched by the warm immigration service. After swiftly completing the immigration procedures, I headed left to the UOB bank counter to collect my SIM card. Then, I took the shuttle bus to Jewel Changi, feeling a surge of excitement. The waterfall and mini train at Jewel Changi were astonishing, and the water vortex show on B2 was spectacular. The nearby Song Fa Bak Kut Teh and other delicacies were a feast for my taste buds. A ten-minute walk across the sky bridge took me to Terminal 3. After collecting my membership card on B2, I enjoyed the fun of the slides, especially the giant slide which was thrillingly fast. B2 is also where the subway entrance is located; just follow the signs. Singapore's transportation is so convenient! Next, I visited Fort Canning Park, where the tree hollow made for an excellent photo spot. Sitting on the tree for pictures, the spacious view was refreshing. Walking down the right pathway also yielded many good shots. A fifteen-minute walk from the south side of the park brought me to the Old Hill Street Police Station. The full view of the building was perfectly captured from across the street, an unexpected delight. Continuing down the road for another fifteen minutes, I arrived near Queen's Square. The skyscrapers basked in the sunset were particularly enchanting, allowing me to appreciate Singapore's unique charm. Finally, I reached Merlion Park. Despite the crowd, I found an excellent angle to take satisfying photos without the throngs. For dinner, I chose a food stall near Clarke Quay. The delicious food and live band performance by the river perfectly concluded my first day in Singapore. For this trip, except for taking the subway to and from the hotel, I walked almost the entire journey. The attractions I visited were all close to each other, allowing me to fully experience the charm of Singapore.

The original experimental botanical garden covered an area of 19 hectares, and the current Spice Garden is a miniature of it. Singapore Tourism 🇸🇬 I finally got to visit the tunnel at Fort Canning Park that I've always wanted to see ☀️ If you aim for the Fort Canning Tree, it's easy to get there (somehow I encountered a magnificent chicken on the way) ☝️ I thought I'd have to wait quite a while since it's popular, but there were only about 10 people in line and it took around 30 minutes. It was shorter than I expected and I had plenty of time 👍 By the way, a wide-angle camera is essential because a normal camera won't capture it all, so be careful 📷 Definitely try to take some fantastical photos!

Don't rush and make sure you leave enough time to wander the paths and discover the many facets of this large venue right in the heart of Singapore. A nice place to spend your morning. The park has a great kids' play area as well. Please be mindful of the long queue at the famouse staircase if you wish to take your photographs there.

#mysgmemories Address - River Valley Rd, Singapore 179038 Singapore Ambiance / Highlights - Old married soldiers quarters and fort gate Rating - 4/5 The fort gate was built to prevent seaborne attack from the sea where the gate was facing. It is meant to protect the people from attacks. The old married soldiers quarters is one of the places within the fort canning hill. My hubby and I were surprised to see such a place. It is a place that was build to house married soldiers. The place is almost a century old. As the soldiers have since left Singapore, the place is now used for recreational purposes such as concert or wedding venues. You will pass by the old married soldiers quarters after passing the fort canning gate.

#mysgmemories Address - 51 Canning Rise, Singapore 179872 Ambiance / highlights - Tree tunnel Rating - 5/5 My hubby and I went to the fort canning park for a walk on the weekends evening. We came across the tree tunnel, which was absolutely amazing. When we were there, we saw a group of people busy taking images and posing on the tunnel. This is definitely one of the landmarks of the fort canning hill where people came all the way here just to take an insta-worthy picture and post onto their account. We too enjoy the amazing view of the tunnel. The tree tunnel is actually not very far from the doby ghaut train station. It is just less than ten minutes walk, and five minutes walk away from the bus stop. You can visit here to take a selfie one day.
