In the recent trip to Salzburg with my family, I have explored this castle by taking the cable car to the top. The view is incredible and we could look at the whole view of Salzburg. Furthermore, inside of the castle, there’s some exhibition you can see , such as the model of the castle.

The cityscape viewed from the fortress rooftop is also magnificent. In fact, people come up here not just for the fortress itself, but to enjoy this view.. Great Time At Fortress Hohensalzburg

#2024wish We came to Salzburg Austria for a holiday. We chose to come Fortress Hohensalzburg to explore the Fortress. It was a majestic fortress whereby you can take a tram up to the top where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city. We went during the winter and thus the experience was great with the cooling weather. In 2024, I hope to visit Europe again during winter.

Seeing a true middle ages castle, along with the lifestyle, customs and ruling of it is truly an amazing experience. The castle features a lot of stuff: from sightseeing at the top of the keep tower, to how peasants were imprisoned in the dungeon and how the castle was built, history around it and a museum. This has been a big dose of history for me, so for any enthusiasts out there looking to learn a bit of history during their trip, i totally recommend this place. Lovely castle. Some steep stairs to climb but fantastic views. Museum is good it's just a shame you can't get to see more of the rooms in the castle given the number they have. Great historical demonstrations in the castle Square, especially for young children to see such as stone masons, singers, blacksmiths etc. It was very busy and difficult to get photos without members of the public on to share on here so apologies. #austria #awesomepic #urbanexplorer
