A list of things I ate at this resort
Address: Rempah Kitchen, Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Jalan Panglima Pantar, Kawasan Pariwisata, Teluk Sebong Lagoi, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands 29155, Indonesia
Price: 💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Located in Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Rempah Kitchen is one of the restaurants you can dine at with the All-inclusive package. We ate here for one lunch and one dinner service - note that the menu is the same for both.
Seating: I recommend sitting outdoors as it's a lot cooler than indoors. For some reason, the ventilation or air conditioning is not as cold as a tropical resort should be. No reservation is needed for this restaurant as it is quite empty throughout the day.
This restaurant serves Indonesian food, which tastes and looks 10 times better than the Beach Club's offerings. For all dining, you'll get to enjoy some homemade prawn crackers while you wait for your food. Tip: Ask for their balado sambal, which is a perfect dip for these crackers.
For starters, we tried:
1. Gado-Gado Betawie - 10/10. The peanut sauce was really good, an elevated version of the local gado-gado. Definitely a good portioned starter.
2. Rojak Tropis Jakarta - 10/10. Another light starter, more on the tangy side. You can ask to remove a particular fruit if you are a picky eater. The mango and pineapple were my favorites with the sauce.
3. Nusantara Platter - 10/10. A must-order for someone who loves variety in their starter. This was great for sharing.
4. Bintan Spring Rolls - 0/10. Not the vibe, skip it as it was bland.
5. Batagor - 10/10. The fried mackerel dumpling was really good. It was unique and very delicious. Do note that this starter was very filling.
If you are going in a group, I recommend ordering different starters to share.
For their mains, we tried:
1. Sate Madura Legendaries - 10/10. The chicken satay was so juicy and tender. Perfect for someone with a small appetite or on a chicken diet.
2. Salmon Sayur Lodeh - 8/10. It's a weird choice of protein and definitely a very heavy meal. The gravy was nice and coconutty, but I felt this dish could use something tangy.
3. Mie Goreng Selebes - 5/10. Perfect for kids but they have other better mains on the menu. It's your basic mie goreng, it's nice but nothing special.
4. Classic Creamy Pasta - 0/10. Why would you order a Western main in an Indonesian restaurant? Same question I asked my little sister. It lacked flavor and texture.
5. Seabass Kepri Sambal Pete - 8/10. The fish skin was crispy and the sambal was so good. It's nothing special but the sambal definitely carried the dish, and you can ask for it on the side without ordering this main.
For desserts, definitely skip it. We tried:
1. Banana Fritter - 0/10. Bananas were not ripe and sweet like I wished they would be. The pandan sauce was weird, definitely not what was advertised in the menu ("Chocolate Sauce").
2. Es Teler Cheesecake - 8/10. Very basic. Soft and fluffy with a nice balance in flavor. The portion is definitely for sharing.

Everything I at this beach club
#indonesiatrip
Located in Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, this was one of the restaurants included in the All-inclusive package. We ate here for one lunch and one dinner service - do note that the menu is the same for both. Seating: If you want a nice seat by the pool, be sure to make a reservation. You may get mosquito and sandfly bites if you choose to sit nearer to the beach. I recommend wearing some mosquito repellent or longer bottoms when dining here in the evening. For all dining, you'll get to enjoy some homemade cassava chips while you wait for your food. For starters, we tried: 1. Seafood Bowl - 8/10. Very generous portion of seafood, but it was very heavy for a starter. I was full from this that I couldn't finish my main. 2. Salade Caesar - 8/10. It was refreshing but some elements of a Caesar salad were missing. However, it was light and perfect for a starter. 3. Mushroom Cappuccino - 6/10. First few bites were delicious, but it gets overwhelming after a while. Definitely something to be shared for the table. The garlic crouton could be toasted a little more as it got soggy fast. 4. Roasted Pumpkin Soup - 0/10. It was inedible for my taste. Like the mushroom soup, the garlic crouton could be toasted a little more as it got soggy fast. 5. Plan Base Fritto Misto - 10/10 well seasoned vegetable tempura. If you are going in a group, I recommend ordering one of each type of starter - salad, soup, and meat to share; otherwise, you'll get very overwhelmed by the taste and portion. If you're there alone, I recommend their salad as everything else for mains and desserts is very heavy. For their mains, we tried: 1. Chicken Breast Steak - 8/10. Chicken was nice, some parts were juicy, some were dry. They gave half a chicken which was a little too much for one person to finish but overall a great dish for someone bulking. 2. Australian Wagyu Burger - 8/10. Another typical beach club food item, nothing special but it was nice. Beef patty was juicy, I feel like they could add more tangy elements to lighten this heavy burger. 3. Buffalo Wings - 10/10. Light and simple, the chicken was fried to perfection and the sauce was well balanced. Feels more like a starter than a main. 4. Panini Chicken Katsu Sandwich - 7/10. It was good but not outstanding, and the bread was a bit too thick. 5. Steam Seabass - 2/10. The fish was very smelly because they steamed it wrongly. Very weird combination of cooking style and flavors. 6. Beach Club Pizza - 8/10. Crust was nice and generous topping, it is basically your regular pizza. Delicious but not mind-blowing. For desserts, we tried: 1. Banana Fritter - 8/10. Definitely better flavor combination here. However, their bananas are not as ripe and sweet as I wished they would be.
Overall, this was a nice place to get some healthy Western food, even though I prefer the options from their other restaurant. This is definitely perfect for a healthy lunch by the pool or an early dinner to watch the sunset.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Decided to book a girls' trip this weekend. I wanted a simple getaway where I didn't have to think about the itinerary or places to eat, so I settled for an all-inclusive package from Four Points by Sheraton Bintan.
Since there were three of us and none of us wanted to stay alone, we decided to squeeze everyone into one room.
Pro Tip: Join their membership before arriving to enjoy perks like 20% off at the spa (also, it's free to join).
The pickup and check-in were smooth. Upon arrival, they served us their signature Spiced Tea. It was drinkable, just not something I would order from a menu. I would have preferred something cold and refreshing.
We arrived around 10am and were able to check into our rooms immediately! This was a bonus compared to most hotels nowadays, which require you to wait until 2/3pm.
The room was bright and spacious, generally clean, but I did notice some stains on their towels. Considering it's a new hotel (4 months old), they do have a couple of damaged items—obvious patch-up work on the walls and holes in the toilet floor. Regardless, these didn't affect my overall experience.
We booked the Garden View room because we thought it would be on the first floor; however, it faced the front of the hotel (not the nicest view), but we spent most of our time at the pool anyway.
One annoyance was the pre-booking for the stay. Since we had three people, there was no option to customize our stay—adding a third all-inclusive package or amenities. We also requested an additional bed in advance, but it was not set up for us upon arrival. When we called the receptionist, they mentioned that all their spare beds were fully booked.
The all-inclusive package came with two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, and two cocktails. The portions were very generous—we were all full after the appetizers. I recommend skipping this package if you're a small eater like us and just opt for the buffet breakfast.
The pool was shallow but clean. It's not too cold, making it perfect for all-day dipping! However, I did notice no one cleaning the pool—there were a lot of flower petals on the surface, which some might find unappealing.
The spa is always fully booked, so be sure to reserve in advance. I loved that the masseuse didn't engage in conversation for 95% of the time, allowing for true relaxation. I recommend the back and shoulder massage but avoid the head massage as it was more of a hair spa, with oil applied to your hair before steaming it.
Overall, I had a decent escape to Bintan. The staff here are all super friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. They made the stay enjoyable.

Indonesian Cuisine At 4 Points Bintan
#cherryblossom2024
When in Bintan Indonesia, the food that you have to try is of course authentic Indonesian Cuisine. At Rempah Kitchen Restaurant In four points sheraton hotel, your tastebuds will be tantelised by their food offerings. It's a buffet style and we had the best indo food here such as gado gado, satay, Aceh noodles, etc. There are different live stations preparing your meals and it excites me to see my food cooked freshly on the spot.
Their desserts were on point and there's even a station where 20 over types of sambal is being served, to match with your food. The restaurant is cozy and is nicely decorated. You will surely enjoy your meals here.

Private Beach & More At 4 Points Bintan
#cherryblossom2024
When booking a beach getaway, what's important is that the hotel/resort has private access to the beach. This is the reason why I booked my stay at Four Points By Sheraton Bintan. Their private beach is clean and walkable from the hotel. Nice sandy beach and no disturbance from non hotel guests is what I love.
The hotel is also surrounded by many lovely pools to cool yourself down and take a dip. Chill by the pool and have a good sun bath, you can't help but feel relaxed here. Pamper yourself and go for a massage at Skai spa or have a good workout at their well maintained gym. A traditional dancer also greets you when you check-in at the hotel. It's a lovely experience and stay at 4 points by Sheraton bintan and I m sure you will love it here too!

Newly Opened Four Points by Sheraton Bintan
#cherryblossom2024
This hotel is the newest and latest addition to Bintan Lagoi area and it opened its doors in the beginning of this year 2024. This hotel is called Four Points by Sheraton Bintan Lagoi and you must at least spend a night here to experience what this hotel has to offer.
The moment you check in, you will be warmly greeted by the hotel staff and given a welcome drink. Service was impressive and both interiors and exteriors of the hotel were beautiful. I had their ocean view twin room and I was blown away by the pretty views of the swimming pool and ocean.
The room was slightly small with no bath tub but everything else was perfect. It was clean and beds were comfortable. There's also a balcony with chairs and a table for you to hang out there and admire the views outside. I really love my stay here, so do check out the new Four Points by Sheraton Bintan Lagoi hotel.
